Review
My Sa-20 had a fairly heavy trigger from the factory, I estimated around 7.5 pounds. This spring reduced my pull to around 5, which is great for hunting. Very simple to install as well.
I decide to try Mcarbo spring on my Mossberg SA 28ga and it work as described. Instructions were pretty clear for a quick replacement. Pull weigh drop to 2.6 lbs. Needles to say I like my new turkey gun. Thanks one more time to Mcarbo for these awesome products.
Install was easy. I didn’t have a proper hammer and punch, so I used a a small allen key/hex wrench as a punch and the plastic butt end of a screwdriver as a hammer and the install went smooth. My Mossberg SA-20 had a very stiff and gritty trigger from the factory. This spring made it a lot lighter and took the gritty feeling away. The trigger used to be a distraction while shooting, now it feels normal, smooth and easy to pull.
I bought this trigger return spring to try and reduce the trigger pull in my TriStar .410 G2 turkey shotgun. It uses the same trigger return spring as does the Mossberg. My initial pull was 6 lbs. 7 oz. and with the new spring, the pull was reduced to 5 lbs. 9 oz. The main problem with the factory trigger pull is that the trigger has an extremely gritty feeling and feels almost like a two-stage trigger. The new trigger return spring only lowered the pull weight by less than a pound and did nothing for the grittiness or two stage feeling. No real surprise there. The whole trigger assembly is going to have to go out and be reworked by someone who knows what they are doing to give me the trigger pull that I want. A spring swap did not correct my problems and I really did not expect it to, but for $20ish total it was worth a try. Installation was a breeze thanks to MCarbo’s video, taking less than 10 minutes.
My original trigger was not that bad , around 4.8 lbs. Spring brought it down to around 3.6. Doesn`t sound like much until you put your own hand on it and find it to be relatively good for a shotgun of this price range. Happy with it ,plan to do more business in the near future.
Prompt delivery, Installation was a breeze after watching the instructional video. Took the trigger on my SA-28 from probably the worst I've ever shot to equal to my Beretta 390. Will be ordering another one for my wife's SA-20.
Excellent product installed in a tristar g2 410 turned a bad factory trigger to where it should be Thanks mcarbo
I had a problem with the first kit and customer service responded immediately and sent a replacement. I was able to achieve a 30% reduction on my SA20 from 7 lb 4oz down to 5 lb 2 oz. Shipping and customer service are first rate. I highly recommend supporting M CARBO.
Installation easy and spring obviously of less strength, but trigger pull still measures over 7 lbs. Perhaps trigger sear needs honing to improve because trigger not crisp. All in all it did not accomplish what was needed.
The trigger spring kit does everything it claims it will do. With Chris's install video, you can't mess it up. A vet's salute to Chris and the M*CARBO crew. 🇺🇸
Wrote a review previously about this trigger spring and how it improved my TriStar G2 but wanted to expound on my M-carbo experience. This company, to me, exemplifies what a company SHOULD be. Communication was quick, efficient and responsive. Service couldn’t have been better. I had a minor concern and it was addressed within hrs. Shipping? BANG, done! Information regarding installation was done before I ordered. Followup regarding my satisfaction seemed genuine. I couldn’t ask for a better customer experience. These guys are squared away!
called and asked for a sring kit for tri star viper 410 . I was told the mossberg sa 28 trigger spring should work, and it did thank you !!!
AWESOME!!!!!! Easy and effective!
Great service and exactly as advertised. Prompt delivery. Product improved the trigger pull.
Works as advertised. Only negative is the install video does not show that the trigger linkage assembly needs to be removed. On the re-assembly, it is shown being put back in place.
This trigger spring makes a world of difference. If you can't install this spring kit, you really shouldn't be around a firearm.
