Very heavy trigger. Found a lighter spring at MCarbo's web site. Also their video on replaceing the spring which was very helpful. Installed the replacement spring and went to the range. The action was rough and the trigger was catchy. Re- checked the installation and all appeared ok. But there were some parts of the action that looked dry to me. Added small drops of light oil and reassembled.

Went to the range yesterday and put 45 rounds down range with no problem. Fed and extracted normally. Quite pleased with the results to date. MCarbo's staff has been excellent to work with.

My Hi Point TS995 triggerpull was off the numbers of my Wheeler trigger gauge at over #8. After the simple installation of the M*CARBO trigger spring it now breaks at a consistant #5 and 10 oz. AS ADVERTISED, it does NOT make it a target grade trigger, BUT it DOES make it BETTER and MORE USABLE!

I like my Hi-Point .40 carbine, but the trigger was pretty bad. The pull was way too hard, it felt gritty, and it didn't break cleanly. I ordered this spring and followed the video to install it. It does take a fair bit of disassembly to get to the part, so the video was a big help. I also watched another video on Utube about polishing that area. Once I had it apart I polished the surfaces where the trigger parts rub. I used 1600 grit paper and then polishing compound. It is aluminum, so it was pretty easy to get it shiny. Before assembly I lubed the area with white lithium grease in a very thin coat. After reassembly it was like a whole new carbine. The trigger was firm, but not hard, with no grittiness and a clean break. Huge improvement.

HUGE UPGRADE

The installation was simple enough and the results are obvious from the first function check. If you have a hi point carbine, getting this trigger spring is a no brainer!

I picked this up due to excellent reviews and happiness with other products I have previiusly installed from MCarbo. And just like the other spring kits it does not disappoint. I also grabbed the heavier recoil spring and stainless guide rod. These are all great upgrades for not alot of cash. Thanks for the excellent upgrades!

I was able to do the install from watching the uTube videos. It had to major obstacles for me and I am not a gunsmith. This was on a Hipoint 4595 and I bought another one for a 995. It took me a little time to get accustomed to the lighter trigger pull. I've been shooting HiPoints for 25 years.

It's still a Hi Point

At first I wasn't sure about this upgrade I gave a 45&9mm carbines installed my new spring in the 45 first and wasn't too impressed with it well since I had it spare I did a good cleaning Tok the firing pin out found it bent got in touch with Hi Point they sent me a new pin this pin was different than the old one. I have one of the first 45 carbines that came out and Hi Point had did some changing with the pins since the firing pin was the ejector too they had some trouble with bent pins. Long story short put the new pin in and yes there was the change I was wanting. Now with my 9 mm carbines the trigger pull was changed upon install. Both weapons are now at around 5 pounds of pull no more mushy trigger rather.

It’s definitely better

I was expecting to feel a little more of a difference, but it did help. The trigger pull is a little less, but it also seems to have smoothed things out. Out of the box, the 4595 had a super heavy pull that felt sort of “notchy.” It’s now still a little heavier pull than I would prefer, but definitely smoother. Also, Chris suggested it may well smooth out and lighten up even more as more rounds are cycled and the rifle breaks in. He’s probably right. All in all, if this would have been a +$100.00 trigger kit I wouldn’t exactly have been happy, but for $12.00 it’s really hard to go wrong, and I would definitely recommend it.

My purchase of the Hi-Point Carbine Trigger Spring Kit was the best decision I could make for an accessory to my carbine. I have arthritis in the knuckles of my trigger finger and this is a blessing. If I will be replacing the springs in my Smith & Wesson M & P Compacts as soon as MCARBO comes out with the kit and video. Thank you for a great product and support!

I purchased two of these springs, one for my 995TS and one for my 1095TS. These springs improved the trigger pull so much I thought I was shooting a totally different gun. Installation is pretty simple but I would recommend watching the Chris's video while doing the install.

First, thanks for making Hi-Point accessories! I love my 995TS and wanted to make it better. The spring kit and some TLC resulted in a much nicer shooting carbine.
