This makes removing the original barrel nut a cinch. I didn't even have to heat it up. Perfect tool for removing the nut in preparation for installing the breacher nut available here at MCarbo.
I was impressed with all aspects of purchasing this item including quality and delivery.
Was epxecting to borrow an impact wrench but I was too impatient. Just tapped the wrench (as one reviewer stated) onto the barrel nut, sat on the gun on my bed and it came off with minimal elbow grease.

Essential tool that is well made.
Don’t bother using a wrench. Heat the nut up then use a impact gun. I used a smaller screw driver impact and it only took one burp of the gun. Struggled like an idiot trying to use a wrench.
A MUST HAVE TOOL!!! No other way to remove the factory barrel nut with out damaging the weapon. Sturdy, precise fit. NO issues with impact drill
I have a Gen 2 so I purchased the 6 slot barrel nut, and it fit like a glove !!! makes taking the barrel nut off so effertlessly with no marring to the barrel nut itself.
If you are planning on doing anything to the barrel of your KSG ...this is a must have . Stop thinking about it, this will make the job so much easier
This is a must have tool if you need to remove the barrel nut. Very inexpensive, but a quality product. Just make sure to get the correct one (4 notch for older KSGs; 6 notch for newer - just compare your KSG to the pics on MCarbo's website). The tool enabled me to easily remove my barrel nut buy attaching the tool to a 3/8" socket wrench. No heating or excessive effort required. Highly recommend this mist have tool.
Just received the redesigned 6-point barrel nut wrench and I have to say the design and construction is top notch. It makes removing the barrel nut easy with no marring or scratching.
You cannot disassemble the KSG without damage unless you have this tool. No getting around it unless you can make your own tools. Great quality part.
Removed factory installed muzzle tip ring with no problem and no damage.
