excellent product,good price
What can I add further. It sets wonderfully. strong metal, works as intended.
lets you work without pipe wrenches and rags, hoping you won't scratch or dig up the finish.
I was concerned the bracket would not fit in my 4.5 inch vice. Contacted mcarbo and they responded quickly with measurements. It fit perfectly. Great customer service.
Well-made and very handy, almost a must, and for the price, you really should get this.
I really didn't want to spend the extra money on this but boy am I glad I did. This thing works like a champ and makes the job so much easier!
If you're going to do any modifications to the business end of the KSG that require removing things that KelTec locked down at the factory, you need this vise block.
Just got done installing new followers in the magazine tubes. I had attempted to remove the barrel nut without any success without this tool. With this tool it was simple 2 minute job. Great tool well worth the money.
This makes modding out the KSG so much easier. Very well built to last as long as your KSG. By simply slipping this over the muzzle end and clamping in a vise, you have a very stable platform to wrench loose whatever it may be on the KSG in order to perform those "must have" upgrades.
The KSG vise block is heavy duty and super easy to use! It makes working on a KSG a breeze.
Perfect fit! It’s the only safe way to take off the barrel nut! It creates a solid connection to the firearm for breaking loose that stubborn barrel nut!
I read reviews of other owners that took the barrel nut off without the use of this tool. Without it, I would have to go out and buy a $30 (cheapest I could find) impact wrench and probably find someone to help me take it off. With this, I bought a barrel nut wrench adapter, table vise, and 25" breaker bar with a 1/2" fitting. I would not have been able to do this by myself without these tools. It did scuff a little bit, but it's not that noticeable. I lined the inside of the tool with painters tape to see if I could reduce the scuffing based on the other reviews.
Like others, the vice block did not fit for me. I just got my KSG a few weeks ago and have just been ordering mods for it, haven't even shot it yet and now it's all marred up all around the barrel guard area. Of course, I'm sure MCARBO isn't going to pay to replace all that stuff, but a warning on their videos would have been nice so I didn't screw up my gun. This is absolute junk for me, and did more damage than good.
Unfortunately mine did not fit on my KSG. I just bought my KSG so I don't know if this was made for a previous generation or not. Either way, it's useless for my KSG.
Bought a boat load of MCarbo parts and this vice block, to do all the cool upgrades from the video's I watched here. Problem is, the vice block it doesn't fit over my KSG mag plate. I tried to push it on, duh, and marred up the mag plate aluminum finish a bit. I contacted MCarbo and a nice lady told me the vice blocks admittedly don't fit over some of the newer KSG's. I let her know it doesn't fit over my EARLY model KSG either (mine is many years old and has the 4 point barrel nut, so I presume it's an earlier model). She basically said, oh gee, ok...thanks for the input...if it doesn't fit, your only option is to return. We don't have any other designs/sizes. She sent me a return authorization to return the block for a refund. Overall disappointing. I was looking forward to this tool serving me for a long time. I'll have to figure out another way to hold the KSG in the vice (without marring it up). That barrel nut is on there tight...
this item very easy to control the gun
