Without the vice placement you are making a half hour job into an all day affair. ANOTHER EXAMPLE of how MCARBO differs from all other companies. The tools, accessories, the videos and a Customer Service Department that goes above and beyond just like their products. If the videos can't help you just call or email them and they will get your issue taken care of.
If you plan on doing any adjustments, you need this vice clamp. Duct tape it, so it won't scratch your weapon.
Works great at supporting the KSG and preventing damage. Well worth the $.

I installed a muzzle brake with very little effort and it only took a few moments. Quality is very good and fit just right.
Very useful for disassembly for Cerakote . Could be a little wide, possibly twice as thick for better surface area clamping and stop rocking while working on the weapon. You will need to have something to support the rear weight of the shotgun. Wrap your front in painters tape to prevent scratches if you've done a refinish.

Mine worked well for the few seconds it took me to break the Barrel nut but it did scratch up the Sling loops a little.

I recently purchased my first shotgun after much research and I chose the Kel Tec KSG 25. I immediately went onto YouTube where I ran into M*Carbo's channel, and I watched his videos. I am planning on putting a muzzle break on my shotgun, and when I watched the video on how to properly secure this (other KSG) shotguns in a vice, let's just say, he had my attention. This tool wraps around the front plate area of the KSG shot gun, securing it, without damaging it, and locks it in the upright position to hold the shotgun safely and securely. If you need to remove the barrel nut, or need to remove the tube nuts, then you NEED this tool! You are crazy not to have it! The tool is made of 1/4" steel, machined polished, and painted. All edges are smooth and will not cut you or mar the weapon. The rifle fits nicely inside and securely holds the weapon. It is small enough to be kept inside any tool bag/box, and works in most vices. I may be new to shotguns, but I know a great tool when I see it. This is it! You have to have this tool. NO QUESTION! Can't do mods to your KSG without this thing !!! You will mar and turn your finish into like your KSG has been in the garbage disposal. You have been warmed, so just save time and prevent ruining the finish in your KSG.
Only with this item could I get the thread protector off my KSG.
Shipping was amazingly fast and the KSG vise block worked like a charm. I tried several ways to get the barrel nut off before I bought this. This thing allowed me to get the barrel nut off first try, and without damage to the weapon. Wish I had bought this to begin with!
