Both my wife an I are left handed, we would get blow back from our Sub 2000, shells eject in our right side field of aim. But this bright idea fixed that right up now the shells eject downwards with no ejection problems an the blow back is considerably noticeable! It's a great idea!
Awesome idea for a shell deflector, and it works. And you can adjust it to what your preference is.
Took me a couple of times re-heating it to get it shaped right. It does reduce the area your spent brass is thrown to..
Must have if your a lefty. easy to install, heat , mold, screw, done
First thing I wondered would be out here when I held this thing at the BX. And bam M Carbos was there smiling. Remember those M16 Prone days. It hurt then not now.
Second one I bought as I kinda messed up attempt 1 😂 . Lefty , Las Vegas in the summer don’t ask me to wear long sleeves , no more casing marks on my arm , ingenious solution to not so common problems , keep em coming guys !
I bought a Sub 2000 but being a southpaw I had some issues but this device solved everything. Thank you very much.
simple solution, easy to install...homerun!
Wow! What an improvement for my shooting experiences with the sub 2000! Works as described and looks good as well. As a left handed shooter I was always catching random casings hitting me in the face and going down my neck. This was the perfect solution. Easy to install. Another great MCARBO product. Buy it now. It is cheap and it is soooooo effective. I keep buying from these guys because they know what we need for our shooting addiction! Thanks Chris to you and your team! As former military and police officer, it is great to be among people that know and understand us. Keep up the good work!! Mike Wightman
It gets in the way of the red dot sight when you collapse it . Not sure if it’s same for right handed shooter . I’ll just use an arm sleeve .
This item really helps out us lefty's. I had to shoot my Gen II right handed until I installed it. Installation is easy as on the video and the instructions. No more splatter in the face.
Took 2 trys to get it right. 1st try wasn't hot enough. 2nd try was a charm.
Very well made and looks great on the gun. I’m a right handed shooter but I got it just because. Hey why not, right!? The only thing I would suggest and the reason it’s not 5 stars is because I would recommend sanding down the part that is by the grip of the inside of your hand. No matter how much you adjust it’s a little sharp due to the screws sinking into the material. Just my two cents. Other than that, but buy buy!
Being a lefty, the unburnt powder, burnt carbon and occasionally an ejected case was REALLY annoying! So I screwed a plastic square to the rear of the ejection port and it helped - a little. No more ejected cases into my cheek but still some unburnt powder shooting past my homemade case deflector into my cheek and shooting glasses. This M*Carbo kydex deflector keeps everything coming out of the ejection port from hitting my face. Couple things: use a heat gun to keep heating the piece. Take too long to screw it into the receiver and you'll have to heat it again - three or four times. I got nervous tightening the screws - they kept going and going, deeper and deeper. I suggest M*Carbo include washers for the provided screws.
Worked exactly like they said. Molded perfect. - would suggest gloves but I toughed it out. Super impressed to get blowback & shells away from my face while shooting (Left handed)
Out of all the parts I've installed so far this one was the most fun IMO. I used my oven to bake 300° for 5 minutes and used the technique in the video. I used a heat gun to tweak for that super professional look. Functions very well no shells bouncing off range barrier into my face or down my hoodie.
