Review
i followed the video and had no major issues, parts fitted easily. Took me about an hour to do the upgrade, and I saw a big difference in trigger pull, almost 4.5 lbs! Great product, Thanks!
The kit materials were excellent as promised and definitely improved performance over the factory materials. However, the installation did not go as smoothly as shown in the video. Breaking the stock collar lose was pretty difficult, and the cover during reassembly was more of a struggle than expected to snap together. Fortunately, there was a longer website instructional video in the feed ramp section that helped with the situation. Let KEL-TEC deal with the assembly if you are easily frustrated. But the great products and customer support provided by M*Carbo are second to none.
These guys are excellent. Received my parts in half the the predicted time!!! All the parts are extremely well made and fit perfectly!! And Criss and company are all about taking care of their customers and is a Pleasure to do business with. Happy and Safe Holiday Season to all Special thanks to Criss Robert
The parts, packaging and shipping are top notch. Installation was challenging but once done made vast improvements.
I ordered the upgraded trigger and spring kit as well as a few other items from your company. I was thoroughly impressed with your excellent service and the quality parts I received. My S2000 is firing much better with the new parts I installed, I love it!
I finally got a chance to sit down and install this kit on my sub 2k. Wow, what a difference it makes. Dropped my trigger pull by almost half! Aluminum trigger guard is really nice, no flex when folding the sub 2k. Now I have a nice set of tools to keep in the range bag in the event I ever need to make any additional changes to the sub 2k down the road. Shipping was super fast and I would highly recommend this upgrade to anyone with a sub 2k. Yeah, it is a little spendy, but having the right tools to do the install sure makes it a lot simpler. Thanks M-Carbo for another great product.
I received my pro performance trigger job kit in good shape, everything exactly as expected in one tidy package. I was able to follow the videos very easily and over about an hour and a half had polished my feed ramp, then disassembled my sub-2000 and installed all the upgrades in it and reassembled it as well. There were a few times I needed to re-watch a part of the video but overall it was a smooth rebuild. Then I took it to the range 2 days ago, and put 247 rounds through it with zero issues. The feeding is perfect, the light trigger is amazing, and I was more than a little impressed. Thank you M*CARBO for making my sub-2000 9mm carbine a seriously awesome little gun!
With a little help from the MCarbo videos, this was an easy installation. Trigger pull noticeably reduced and the quality is top notch. Can't say enough about how good this is.
High Quality parts. Durable finish. Took my stock trigger pull from 9.5 - 10 LBS instantly to 5.5 LBS, and after a few hundred round of break, closer to 4 - 4.5 LBS. Easy to install, if you watch the video first, then watch the video, as you do it. Super fast shipping. Excellent customer service, and follow up. What more could you ask for?
I installed every part in this kit, plus some others, like the two finger charging handle and the upgrade to the end of the recoil spring,(that was tough) and the cover on the receiver tube cover, recoil buffer, the folding rear sight. I already had polishing stuff from my GP100 upgrade, and found more Flitz and polishing Dremel bits on Amazon. I used the latest video that covers the Sub 2000 "M series" and takes you through every upgrade in one video. I agree the best way is to do it all at once so there is no need to take your gun apart many times. I have a suggestion for those taking on this task of doing it all at once like I did, As usual, watch the WHOLE video first and order some extra parts like the "C" clips and the detent and spring on the safety. I also managed to launch my new sear spring to parts unknown, and had to use the OEM one to finish, so save every part you take off. As for the new studs and screw, I found it to be a problem with the studs coming out of their holes when putting in some of parts back together, and I had to split the plastic shell a few times because things got misaligned when trying to put it back together, until I changed the procedure from the video some. I put the screws in the non-ejection port side to hold the studs in place and snugged them up, to keep things in place better when trying to put the ejection port plastic side back on, after having certain the studs come out of the holes on me a few times. This opposed to putting the screws in on both sides at the same time holding it together first. I also put all the screws in as soon as I had it together correctly and skipped the loctite then, and after I was all done with the safety and new rear sight, went back and took one screw out at a time and loctited each one then, and put it back in before taking another out.. I found that to be much easier overall than the way it was shown in the video. I also passed on the grip cover, and the Magpul parts, as I had already installed my own vertical fore grip, and am using the right side M-lok holes for a light/laser, and wanted the other M-lok holes open for barrel cooling. I also didn't buy an optical mount, it was just too expensive and I'm not using a red dot on the gun now. All in all I got it all done in less than 6 hours, on different days.
The video instructions were clear, complete easy to follow and resulted in correct installation the first time, without difficulty. Trigger pull was reduced from 9+ lbs to 4.5 lbs without polishing steps. Trigger pre-travel and full travel were not reduced or changed. A follow up question regarding the trigger shim washer shown in the video was promptly replied to by MCARBO - (the shim is no longer needed with current triggers). I did not purchase the feed ramp, polishing kit or steel screws & pins. Loctite 242 was not included with the parts I ordered but was available at Home Depot.
I just finished this install. I should have watched the video before ordering because I needed a couple of things that were not in this kit and ended up ordering again. The video is comprehensive, clear, well lit, and well focused with close up details. The parts are all high quality and look good. Everything fit perfectly. I recommend this kit to anyone with a Sub-2000.
Excellent quality parts and Great upgrade over factory, After installation trigger pull was reduced to 3 1/4 LB, factory was a slightly over 10 LB. Break is clean and crisp! I also purchases the stainless steel feed ramp and T-handle hex wrench which made things go a bit easier. The stainless feed ramp is real nice upgrade as well, much better than factory. Great Company, Great Customer Service and Super Fast Shipping, Thank you!
Great customer service and great parts and accessories! Instructional videos are spot on also!
Bought Sub2K- neat but meh... Bought Mcarbos upgrades- a different gun! The install on the Bundle was not difficult at all. Just follow along with the video. The most difficult part was the safety detent and spring...kept shooting them off my work bench! If you have a S2K and have not bought the upgrades...stop farting around and do it. You will not be disappointed!
Shipping was fast. Parts quality excellent. Installation was made easy with M-Carbos installation video. They even emailed me to make sure I was able to complete the installation. Great product and company.
