The was the first trigger job I have ever done. Service was great, shipping prompt, all parts accounted for and nothing missing. The installation itself was made much easier with MCARBO's online videos, showing step-by-step how to install the new trigger, pins, and springs. My KEL-TEC SUB-2000 itself shoots much better now, with its trigger weight reduced by half.
This kit is well made and really fixes up a lot of issues I had with the Sub-2000. First it reduces trigger pull to about 5lbs but since you also are adding a metal trigger it reduces travel since you no longer are getting the flex from a plastic trigger. Also if you have never taken apart a Sub-2k then definitely watch Mcarbo's provided videos and go very slow, they are a pain in the butt because of how Kel Tec designed the internals but the provided videos are great and it is totally do-able if you have built a AR lower without issue. When you are ready to re attach the receiver screws DO NOT FORCE the two halves of the receiver together. If they are not lined up correctly the plastic receiver will crack, again this is a flaw in Kel Tec's design.
All I can say is awesome, awesome, awesome! This was super easy to install. The videos are great and extremely helpful. Everything was straightforward and works like a charm. The quality of the parts are second to none. They're definitely better than stock. The machining is perfect and precise as well as the finish on all the parts. Can't say enough good things about this company and the people who run it, and the quality of their products! Bravo!
I am a novice on all accounts when it comes to upgrading a gun. Still, I am happy to wade into unknown project when I sense I have quality products and good instructions. Both proved true here. Everything installed as advertised, and works as advertised. Furthermore, it was a blast making these upgrades with two young lads looking on and helping. It will remain memorable for a long time, and certainly was educational for them and me. Thanks MCarbo!
Was pretty upset when one of the Kel-Tec screws stripped out when disassembling. Luckily I could still crack it open and then remove the screw to continue on. All said n done, I like the way it turned out and had fun doing it myself. Just need to pick up a QD sling, as I put the MCARBO single QD attachment on, too.
I bought the 2900 as a car gun. I put about 200 rounds thought it, and didn't like the trigger or the trigger pull. So after watching Mcarbo on you tube I bought the spring kit with trigger. I have fire the weapon approx. 200 rounds and it amazing in the differents in the trigger pull and the new trigger makes. Plus the Mcarbo video help out .thanks so much for being there.
I installed the all-in-one upgrade this weekend, took longer than it should have since I did something wrong and didn't follow the instruction video correctly, but once I got back in line it went smoothly. This upgrade is the difference between night and day. The factory trigger is something you can kind of live with in order to get the cool foldy boi feature, but the combination of the heavy pull and the fact that it BENDS kind of lower the enjoyment for me. With the new parts, this is a crisp, smooth firing machine that feels like a real weapon instead of a dangerous toy. Highly recommended. If you have the scratch, add all the M*Carbo accessories, you can't go wrong (okay maybe the shell deflector and the buttstock are a matter of taste, but all the recoil reducing products and the trigger set are A++
Just finished installing all the upgrades in my Sub 2000 and it is now a bonifide tack driver .Operation is like night and day compared to the stock version .Chris and his team run an awesome operation and the videos make it super simple on the installs.Cant wait to get the new scope mount !
You wont even know its the same rifle. Made my sub2000 totally awesome
Again, I was very impressed with MCarbo. From the delivery communication to the detailed installation video, this was a fun project. Your videos are the best and make tinkering with my gins fun and fairly easy. Thanks guys!
I am very happy with this company I have done business with them in the past and there products are not match by any one else I just received my pro trigger package today and my rifle is at the gun Smith right now looking forward to my new trigger job in closing I want to say there customer service is absolutely the best my first order got damaged in shipping and eather my order was stolen or it fell out in shipping M Carbo replaced it very quickly with no problems..... I will definitely be yousing them again !!
Bought the kit with the flat trigger. Trigger feel and reset is great. I have a Gen1 and had to do some mods to the kit. The nut on the rear of the receiver does not have any provisions to grip it for removal, so just a wrench wrapped with a cloth to loosen it. The trigger was to long and impacted the new trigger guard, if I released the trigger it would reset fine. I found the issue when I was doing my safety checks, while holding the trigger in the rear position after firing and charging the bolt the trigger would not release forward when let off. I had to file the trigger down about 1mm. The sear spring was a tad to long (would pinch between the 2 halves of the grip) and had to be cut down about 0.5 mm. Built this for my daughter to start going to comps with me as her gun.
I have a gen 1 Sub 2000 and ordered this for my gun. The wrench doesn't fit the gen 1 and the glue is not needed, some of the take-down on the butt stock was slightly different. I called Tech support and they were very helpful in talking me through the entire procedure. They even went as far as taking picture and sending them to me. Certainly above and beyond. All of the parts fit and worked perfectly. A great improvement to the gun. Great outfit to do business with.
Slick and not too difficult to install. Of course I had to watch the videos on YouTube. After doing one install I feel doing a second will be a piece of cake. I also got the two finger charging handle, (my original broke). Trigger and springs make a huge difference but if cost is an issue get the springs first, trigger second and charging handle third. Of course the screw kit and aluminum trigger guard are sweet and make you sub feel more sturdy.
