I got it together, works great. I had a small issue, the end of the long section of the trigger spring was catching on the plastic, I bent about 1/8" on the end and that fixed it. Everything works so I'm sure I got it together right. I ordered the gun and the kit at the same time, the kit got here two days before the gun. I put it on a new gen2 9mm so I don't have a before and after impression, but I like the aluminum vs plastic and it feels great. I had a gen1 and didn't like the feel of it so when I saw your product I thought I'd try another one, glad I did. Thanks for a great product. pzak
Shipping was very quick. Prices are reasonable and of great quality!! The videos made is extreamly easy to replace the springs, trigger, and trigger guard. Love the upgrades. SUGGESTION. Make a video that encompasses the complete upgrade--springs, trigger and guard. Troubleshooting vid, although I did not need it, was a great info.
OK Folks, I am about as armature as you can get. Installing this kit on my Sub 2k was the very first modification I have ever done. The video was a great help. The kit is worth every penny!
I own a Sub2k G-22 mag version. I had only fired the weapon on one occasion when I stumbled across M-Carbo purely by accident while looking for something else. As soon as I saw this package I ordered it. I must say that it does exactly what it claims to do. I don't have any numbers to throw out but the trigger pull is now astronomically better. I was originally going to get just the spring kit but when I saw the whole deluxe kit I was sold. Before the trigger guard upgrade every time you folded the rifle you wondered in the back of your mind when the factory guard was going to break. Not anymore. Great addition. Same for the sight. Also, not insignificantly, the how-to video on the website is very good and walks you through the process very well. I watched it first, then kept rewinding it a few times as I performed each step. As an aside, I had ordered a set of the Glock 23 lower receiver halves from Kel Tek to switch out with my G22 that it came with. I really didn't have an idea how to do it, since this rifle is noothing like an AR. Well, this video solved that problem, as it is easy to swap them while following the steps in the video. Bonus! My only critiques are, first, the new screws did not really mate with the nuts as well as the video showed. It took a lot of elbow grease on the small hex wrench to tighten them, to the point I thought either the head was going to strip or the wrench would bend. Secondly, it should be noted that the large nut that tightens the receiver extension to the receiver halves is being attached to polymer. The rear of the receiver pices are not threaded so really that nut is only biting into the smooth plastic as you turn it. I'm sure I overtightened and stripped mine but t should hold OK due to the glue compound provided in the kit. I just wish there had been a caution in the video about not overtightening it. Despite the small notes this is a fantastic product and I very highly recommend it. And it shipped within an hour of ordering. Excellent! M-Carbo customer service sent multiple emails asking if the product had been received and whether I was satisfied so I give high marks for customer service as well. This strikes me as a great veteran-owned company which makes great products and actually cares about the customer's experience. Now I hope M-carbo will soon release the metal feed ramp they mentioned as a future possibility in the video.
Great kit to upgrade stock parts that should have been included! Always like a smooth trigger! Important, watch the how to video & remember to watch how the hammer goes in! I put backwards (easy to do based on shape)! Great stuff M-Carbo!!
I installed this yesterday and tried it out today - much better trigger actuation. Nothing you can do about the takeup, but the feel is much better. While at it, I suggest polishing up the sear / hammer contact point as I did, takes every bit of gritty feel out. Careful if you do as I did and polish only, do NOT remove any material or round the edges.
The KEL-TEC SUB-2000 Complete Trigger Job Bundle is definitely worth every penny. The trigger pull is much smoother and noticeably lighter. All of the parts look and feel great, from the trigger to the trigger guard. MCarbo's service and delivery is excellent. I had no trouble installing the springs, trigger and trigger guard after watching the videos. I'm a 65 year old female. So if I can install this with easy, I know you men and women, won't have any trouble.
Straightforward easy install. Just follow the videos and if you have any mechanical ability at all you will be ok. This simple install cut my trigger pull by almost 50%
I was disappointed with the trigger, trigger guard and trigger pull on my Sub2K. This kit changed everything! Top quality parts. M*Carbo’s aluminum trigger and guard are well made and look great. The trigger pull is perfect now. I highly recommend this and all the upgrades M*Carbo makes for the Kel-Tec. They helped me turn what was a mediocre carbine into a great one. Thanks M*Carbo! Your customer service is second to none.
Very good product with a great video to follow. Two issues I had NOT related to this product was when I took apart the housing everything fell apart. Remedy is to familiarize yourself with parts and video then you can reassemble at any stage. Second, safety catch wouldn't push far enough to release detent. I ended up just pushing the safety into the grip and the pin dropped out the mag well..no biggie.
Well worth the money. Crisp trigger reset and significantly less trigger pull. When I took my sub 2000 apart, springs and parts went everywhere. I thought, Not being familiar with my new gun, I thought, "What have I gotten myself into?" However, the instruction video was very complete and easy to follow. I would definitely recommend anyone who owns one to upgrade it with this kit.
The SUB-2000 is a fun gun to shoot but this upgrade takes it over the top! The enhancement to the trigger is amazing! Easy DIY, i said a few cuss words over getting the safety detent back in place but after that it's a breeze. Highly recommended upgrade for the SUB-2000.
I'm very happy with the upgrades I made to the Sub 2000. The 1st time I saw the installation video I thought about sending it to Kel-Tec but I watched the video a 2nd and 3rd time and thought.. I got this.. With the help of the video I was able to do it no problem. The only thing is you have to watch out for the safety detent spring. That thing came flying out 3 times while putting it back together and somehow or another I found it every time.. haha.. Other then that it was a fun little project to do....I went from an 8 pound trigger pull to a 4.2 pound trigger pull. My groups at the range are tight.. I highly recommend getting the upgrades whether you do it yourself or have somebody do it for you.
I'm I big supporter of my brothers down south, Up in Canada as you know we are limited to what we can and cannot do as far as firearms. So when I found this sight it was like finding a pot of gold.These upgrade parts have made a huge improvement. And I can't wait for some more upgrades. Chris in his videos shows a very detailed step by step install process that makes it easy and fun! Keep up the high quality upgrades.
I have not shot the gun with the upgrades yet. But, the trigger pull is that of different gun. I thiught I was going to need to strap the gun down, to sight it in with the old hard (gritty) trigger pull. If you own a Sub, you know what i mean.
