Ordered this and the stainless feed ramp and polishing kit on a Wednesday and it arrived on Friday. Installed on Saturday with the help of the video. Video is fantastic. Made the installation go very smoothly. MCARBO GUYS followed up asking if I had any issues or difficulty with the installation the following Monday. These guys are great and their products are rock solid. I will be buying more accessories soon. Also planning to buy another sub2k and will upgrade it as well. I'm looking forward to the release of upgrade sights. Thanks MCARBO.

These upgrades make a world of improvements. They're solid, simple upgrades that elevate the Sub 2K's performance and usability. I will recommend anyone that is considering this bundle to just go ahead and pull the trigger on this purchase. (pun intended) In addition to this, I have also installed the extended magazine release; an essential upgrade if you're going to the extent of opening up the receiver already.
Initially I hesitated since this is my road trip gun (e.g. light strike etc). After some inquiry I decided to go with this. Installation video is awesome (Chris pointed out every potential problem and provided the solution). It took me less than 2 hrs (along with installing + polishing the SS feed ramp). The aluminum flat trigger and trigger guard are solid. Trigger pull is now light and crisp - the reset is a bit more tactile than the OEM. The pull is consistent unlike the OEM. I tested this over 200 rounds today with 115gr and 147gr JHP, no issue. Really glad I decided to go with this. I heard an enhanced trigger bar is coming out. Thanks for this great product.
I recently purchased the pro bundle performance trigger job bundle, recoilless charging handle and bolt tube cover for my sub 2000. So happy I did it! Great job you guys, keep up the good work.
First, I have to say that the video instructions you provide are clear and excellent. After doing trigger upgrades to other firearms with products from other companies and hunting for install videos on my own, this was a pleasant change to the process. Everything I encountered in my install was covered in the video instructions. It took me two hours, but I'd never done it before, so I'm fine with that. It took me a little longer to reinstall springs and remove/install the e-clips, but that's to be expected due to my lack of experience. The trigger pull for my Sub2K is MUCH better, and I'm very happy with the results. I took your advice and upgraded my feed ramp to SS and the OEM charging handle to the Double Finger Extended Charging Handle during the trigger install. Both of those upgrades were also excellent. I'm mechanically inclined but taking a firearm completely apart to do a trigger job is not something I would normally do. I watched the install video before I ordered the upgrade. I watched the video as I did the install and it made the process very easy. It took me about 3 hours to do this install and that includes the polishing time. My sub 2000 now has a smoother trigger pull and I don't have to worry about future repairs as the rubber hammer bushing and plastic loading ramp have been replaced with steal parts. After just 150 rounds there was damage to the OEM rubber hammer bushing. Great job on the components and the video!
Kit changed the sub 2000 into a much more pleasant range experience. The mag release is way better than stock, The trigger pull is much lighter and my grouping is a lot better. And the instructional installation video was flawless. I did have to pause and rewind many times because I'm not a professional gunsmith and a lot of the sequences of setting the springs just right took me longer to do than the instructor, but I can't expect someone that has the expertise and muscle memory to do something quickly, to do it slowly. That's not intended to be a complaint. My only complaint is my kit did not come with the collar removal tool, but I managed fine with a punch set to break the collar loose and needle nose pliers to remove the locking washers on the safety bolt. No problemo
To start off, shipping was same day. Got the kit in two days. Watching the full install video and pausing to catch up, was spot on. Everything Chris said worked and happened. Very detailed installation video. I took the extra 30 minutes and polished the feed ramp until I could see my reflection. The feed ramp was the whole purpose of the upgrades. I figured I eowou do it all at once ,so I did not have to open the rifle again. All the parts were superior looking and functioning. I was and am berv pleased with the total upgrade. If you are hesitant to make the purchase, the video is near fool proof. Nothing is left to question. MCarbo is the ticket to a new and improved rifle. Thank you
After installing the aluminum trigger guard and starting to reassemble- my little finger tapped the trigger assembly and well, I decided, I'm not a gunsmith. I decided to send the disassembled sub 2000 to M*Carbo gun shop. From the first call to the return email, the process was top notch. I decided to have other internal upgrades. Excellent communication, very fast turn around and fair pricing for labor. Really they could not have done any better.
Once I bought the Sub2K, I immediately bought all of the upgrade parts from MCarbo and sent them to Kel-Tec to install and keep the Warranty in tact. I am very pleased with the end results. A definite Must have!
I was absolutely impressed by the quality these items as well as the the care that went into the packaging. What made the installation process so smooth was the comprehensive "step-by-step" online video. Also if you are thinking of getting this kit, do yourself a favor and get the stainless feed ramp and extended mag release to install at the same time. You'll be glad you did.
This was way outside my comfort zone. I was pretty skeptical about a DIY trigger job, but after watching and following the installation video, it was a snap. Took the weapon to the range afterwards, and it functions flawlessly. Thanks for having my 6!
So I have a few M carbo upgrades on my sub and I recently got my buddy so much into the sub he bought one on the spot and did some of the same upgrades I did. But the only one that we were both missing is probably the one that needed most because the sub does not come with the best trigger in the world. I cannot recommend the M carbo performance trigger enough. The feel is unbelievable. The quality of the parts is top shelf. It fixes everything on the sub 2000 trigger not just with stronger parts but with the take up the feel the break the reset, everything. And it cuts the weight by more than half. If you don’t have this on your sub 2000 you really need it right now. I was going to send it to M carbo for installation since I’m in the Tampa bay area just like them and me and my buddy decided against it. Being engineers ourselves we figured we can just watch the video and take a crack at it. We did fine. Just be careful about launching the springs. But it’s a nice little project.
I ordered this kit before I even had my Sub-2000 G2! I did a ton of research on both the S2K and the parts upgrade and knew from the start I wouldn't have it any other way. Took delivery of my S2K & immediately went to the range and put 100 rds on target for my baseline. Cleaned and installed the upgrades and went to the range again the following weekend. Glad I got to experience it prior to upgrades to appreciate the difference they made! Trigger pull is firm, crisp and so much lighter. It should have come from the factory with these parts! The armorer's wrench is a must have. Wish I'd gotten the t-handled hex wrench as that would have made an already easy installation that much better. Just run the video as you work and you can't go wrong. Chris does a great job of walking you through each step. My first time disassembling the S2K so I took my time double checking everything as I went along and still finished in about 45 min. Thnx MCarbo!
The factory trigger is atrocious. Spongy, long, heavy, total crap. I bought this knowing it would make everything better. After polishing all contact surfaces in addition to the feed ramp I installed it. Watch the hammer spring it's persnickety. Once I had it together, I found that the trigger was worlds better. Much crisper with very little creep and a solid release. The pull weight was cut at least in half. I'm much faster and accurate now than I ever was before. If you're hesitating, don't. Just shut up and buy this.
