I have owned my SUB-2000 for a short time. It had been to the range only twice. I enjoyed the heck out of shooting it. Yes, the trigger was kind of heavy (>10lbs) and I was not thrilled about the plastic trigger and hand guard. The plastic feed ramp gave me pause too. My ever insightful wife asked why KelTec cheaped out on those parts on such an otherwise fine weapon. I suspect she has designs on my SUB-2000. She gets a gigantic grin on her face when she shoots it. I digress. By chance I found MCARBO. Thank goodness! I ordered the complete trigger job kit, metal feed ramp, and polishing kit. Installation was a breeze. No troubles. I followed the video. How could I fail? Today was range day. The SUB-2000 and I stepped up to the line. I brought a variety of ammo with different bullet weights. Everything from 105 - 147 grains. Many handloaded by me. The SUB-2000 ate them all with no issues. I placed over 400 rounds on target. (What an awesome day!) The trigger pull is now < 6lbs. My accuracy has improved. The result is that a truly wonderful experience was transformed into near spiritual ecstasy. My wife did not hint. We are going to purchase a SUB-2000 for her this week. I'll be doing another trigger job before it's first range trip. I must complement MCARBO. From their web site to superior products to instructional videos and finally their superb customer service, they are top drawer. I want to find some way to be involved with such a quality driven organization. If MCARBO makes a product for your firearm, you are a darned fool if you don't buy it.
To be honest, I was very skeptical of this kit as the trigger improvement parts are essentially springs and grease. My S2K had a very rough, gritty, inconsistent ~10 lb trigger pull even after being well cleaned and lubricated. After the kit install, the trigger breaks cleanly and smoothly between 5.5 - 5.8 lbs consistently. The trigger guard and trigger were nicely finished and anodized. The feedramp is a much needed improvement and even without polishing, the machining is very smooth. Breakdown and assembly videos on Youtube were immensely helpful. A+
After doing a lot of research on line, watching youtube videos and asking questions on Sub2000 message boards/owners groups, there was an overwhelming consensus that the M*CARBO parts were the way to go. So, I decided to pick up this bundle, the stainless steel feed ramp, polishing kit and extended mag release. M*CARBO has a series of videos on YouTube for the install process, both separately and one full video detailing the installation of all of their products. They're high res, very detailed and well made videos that made the installation of the parts INFINITELY easier. I'm not sure I'd have been able to do them on my own without it, but with the videos, I did everything pretty easily. The components come shipped in individual baggies that are well labeled. The parts are high quality and a vast improvement over the factory components. The trigger is improved to the point where you really have to feel it yourself to believe the difference it makes, not just in the lightened pull weight, but the felt quality of the components. Simply amazing. Do yourself a favor and get this package. Everything in it is useful, and that wrench makes removing that rear collar a breeze!
I'm no weapons expert, and I've never modified a gun before. With the video support I just completed installing the Internal parts Sub 2000 bundle, plus a few external parts. The step by step instructions were great. I enjoyed getting hands on the weapon, learning about its operation, and getting the final good functions check at the end. Can't wait to get to a range!
Following the installation instruction video, the work went smoothly except for two relatively minor problems, one of which led to the other: (1) The factory magazine release would not stay in place while I attempted to reattach the left side of the trigger assembly housing. I finally used a magazine to keep the release where it should be, and was then able to finish the job. However, during the process, the warning in the video came true, and the sear spring popped off, dropping to the floor. An entertaining half-hour was spent trying to find the little thing in the clutter around my desk! Before and after installation, I used a Lyman Digital Trigger Pull Gauge to measure the SUB-2000's trigger release, taking ten readings each time and averaging them. The factory trigger (with some 1300 rounds fired, plus dry firing) averaged 6lb 9.2oz (+ 3.7oz, - 2.6oz). The newly-installed MCARBO trigger averaged 4lb 7.7oz (+ 6.5oz, - 9.9oz), for a 33% improvement. The new trigger pull is also much "crisper" than the factory unit. I am very pleased with the results, and intend to obtain other MCARBO parts (stainless steel feed ramp, extended magazine release, and rear tactical folding sights) when I next tear down the gun for another thousand-round thorough cleaning.
Install was straight forward and relatively quick. Trigger and trigger guard feel great. All parts are good quality and fit perfectly. Shipping was crazy fast.

Trigger up grade and the straight trigger really improved trigger pull to about 5 1/2 lbs.
I dropped of my Sub 2000 at your location this week to have all the internal parts upgraded . After watching your video on the the performance difference and reduced trigger pull i just had to have it ! i can't wait to get it back and head to the range.
I have replaced every internal upgrade I could for my sub 2000. Handles night and day, well worth it. Installation super easy.
My Mcarbo Pro performance trigger bundle came in the mail yesterday (Finally!.... Just a note here, delayed arrival was no fault of Mcarbo... Tracking showed that it arrived for shipping the day after I ordered it... and I ordered it on a Sunday night.) Somehow USPS dropped the ball. When we couldn't locate the order, Kimberly at Mcarbo promptly took care of the problem and shipped another order to me priority mail and it arrived within three days! Thanks Kimberly! Anyway, the installation went good (Not a easy for me as it does for Chris in his installation video, but I'm sure he's done a couple hundred more than I have) That being said, Take your time and pay attention and I think you will be very happy with the results! I went from a 5 lb 9 oz trigger, to a 3 lb 7 oz trigger (Flat Trigger) and the Trigger guard is incredible! Be sure to take the time to polish the Stainless steel feed ramp, they polish up very nice in just a few minutes. At this point, it all function checks great, but I'm going to wait for nicer weather before I get her out to the range. Thanks Mcarbo! You guys have really done your homework!
I'm sorry...this trigger kit is literally half the cost of the fun it self. Half the point or more of a keltec is that its cheap....of I have to spend half as much again to get a different trigger, wouldn't I be better off spending the over 200 bucks more at the time of purchasing the firearm and just getting a better rifle with an already better trigger. Plus look at what your getting? Probably not 20 bucks worth of stuff to the company. That's just insane
I cant say it was the easiest process, it wasn't, but I will say I'm happy with the end result. Had Mcarbo technical support been any less responsive, I'd have not rated this a 5 star trigger. Without going into undue detail, there are versions of the Sub2000 that require minor sanding before the trigger bar + new springs will operate together. Bobby in technical support worked me through the necessary customizations necessary for the new trigger springs to work as required. Once this was done, I had a great trigger for the Sub2000 (by which I mean a great trigger for a "truck gun"; hell, I have long distance rifles out shown by the Mcarbo setup). So, this installation was a journey which will hopefully be easier for others now. If you do run into a glitch, take the time to work with Bobby and his crew. They'll track down the issue. When its all said and done, you'll be happy with what you have.
Just finished installing this kit along with some other upgrades and i just gotta say wow what a difference. Thanks to all the awesome how-to videos Chris posted it was fairly easy. The only problem i really had was with the C-clips for the safety. The wrench was perfect when taking off the castle nut, but the other end was too wide to help remove the clips so i had to find another solution for removing them. But like someone mentioned before, the main purpose of the wrench was to remove the castle nut which worked perfectly. If you're thinking about getting this bundle , don't think. Just get it!
Excellent product!! Very easy to install because of such high-quality video and instructions. Reduce and improve trigger Paul due to the spring set. What makes this product so great is the company it comes from. Excellent customer service.
