Ordered a complete M-series upgrade to my Gen2 Sub2K including the new trigger kit. New trigger is fantastic, optic mount is amazing and all other upgrades were as advertised & really complete this carbine. Mcarbo service & turn around time were great and parts quality looks good. ordered the product 3rd of july - availed myself of the 20% discount (4th of july mcarbo promotion) i received my package yesterday (5th of july), installed the trigger upgrade for my sub2k and took it for a few hundred rounds at the range this A.M (6th of july). I got the s2k kit. Everything was top notch all pieces fit perfect. The video was most helpful. Did have to set sear spring last due to its tending to come loose and fly across the garage. Otherwise what a great feel. The new trigger guard cause the whole gun to feel solid no more twist or slop between the barrel and reciever. And the trigger feels crisp. Thanks mcarbo. This is how keltec should come from the factory.
I own 2 sub-2000 9mm-40 and this is the best thing that has ever come along for these firearm's.Very easy to install and the trigger is great now.Thank you guy's keep up the good work.
I was a little unsure if I could do the installation of this kit. But decided to try. I received the value pack quickly. Then I set down and inventoried all of the parts. All there. Then I realized I could bring up u tube on my TV. Fantastic instruction Video. A little less than 2 hours I was done. Took my Gen. 2 Sub 2000 out and it shot great. What impressed me was good hardware and excellent instructions. I also bought the folding pep site and butt stock. All great products. Vedios also great. I am not really a gun expert. But after the videos I feel that I have the ability to even tackle harder gun upgrades.
I've been putting off upgrading my Kel Tec Sub 2000 Gen 1. It was a cheap buy since it was not maintained properly. My B-Day came up and I received a discount coupon from McCarbo. I decided to upgrade at that point. The parts are Fantastic quality, durable, precise and smooth. The installation videos are a great help, they explain how and why things work, plus recommendations for better performance. The trigger kit was so easy to install with no problems. Everything went on nicely. You can't go wrong with upgrades from McCarbo.
Everything feels great after installing the kit, but I am having light primer strikes (all new factory ammo and several different brands). I'm gonna fire it some more to hopefully get it to work itself out (highly doubt), because I don't want to have to take it apart again. I am familiar with firearms and know that I put it together just like the video showed. The same rounds that FTF in the Sub2k worked flawlessly in my pistol.
Kit installed easy with the help of the video, was very straightforward and improved the gun dramatically worth the effort to get and do to your own gun.
Did the complete change of springs and parts included in the kit. Also, added the rear sight and the heavy charging handle. Following the steps by step video makes it very clear. Hardest part was getting the hammer to lock back during reassembly. Would I do it again? YES Would I recommend it to a friend? YES This process makes for a completely different carbine. Thanks to the MCarbo guys for taking the time to offer such a top quality collection.
They thought of everything in this package. Really cleaned up the Trigger Pull. Accuracy increase expected.
Install was easy peasy, followed the video guide. Trigger pull is down to 3 pound from 9. Shoots great, was accurate before but now with less trigger pull i feel the difference. Looking forward to the next mods on my list!
Install was easier than I thought and, the results are fantastic. When you pull out your old parts and compare them in design and quality you judge Kel-Tec for not doing these improvements from the start. lol I absolutely enjoy the new and improved version of my sub2k 😁 now I got a few more accessories to pick up here shortly. I also recommend buffer tube cover & recoil buffer which I have also installed 👍
The trigger pull on the stock sub leaves a lot to be desired, but here is the answer. I had my gunsmith install this on my sub and he was happy to do it having never worked on a sub2000 before. I asked him how it felt after shooting it and his exact words were "like night and day." This is the guy I trust to work on my 1911s and competition guns. He was right. Get it. You won't be disappointed.
Overall I am satisfied with the trigger assembly upgrade. It reduced the amount of trigger pull by half, pretty much as described and performs flawlessly (2,000+ rounds). If I had to do it again I would probably opt for the straight trigger as the curved trigger tends to cause my finger to get caught up in the trigger groove at times. It's not a show stopper.
This is a must ! Got a 4.5 pound trigger pull when done. great job guys! & great vids too.
