I love my Sub2000. I am always on the look out for products that really enhance its capabilities. This trigger does that's and is a quality product. Cut my trigger pull in half. It's worth the money...get it!
Last weekend I installed the Pro Performance Trigger Bundle along with the skeletonized charging handle and the bolt tube cover. First of all YouTube videos were awesome. Definitely watch them if you are going to tear your Sub apart. Here's the review: The spring kit and new trigger are amazing. I can best describe it as "crisp"? as apposed to "flimsy"?. The plastic trigger wiggled around whereas the M*Carbo trigger is light but firm. I believe this is a must upgrade. The charging handle is a good upgrade as well. If you are nervous about taking apart your Sub 2K - don't be. Just follow the videos and you will be fine. This is an awesome rifle and now it is a kick ass firearm! I purchased the "All In One Pro Performance Bundle" because it is slightly cheaper than ordering each item individually. However, if you don't want / need some of the tools you can do better ordering just the parts you want to replace. I have a Sub 2K gen 2 with the plastic collar so the wrench was not necessary and really didn't help me with anything especially the safety "C-clips." I found and easier way with two micro screwdrivers. The open end of the wrench was too large to use on them. The little dowel was a great addition. The springs, pins, screws, feed ramp, trigger guard, trigger, trigger bar, bushing, made a night and day difference. I polished up the hammer, sear contact points along with the feed ramp and bushing and brought a 9+ pound trigger pull to just a little over a nice crisp almost 4 pound pull. NIGHT AND DAY. So much better and if you follow the detailed 2+ hour video, anyone can do this. Chris is very detailed and makes it look easy. Of course, I purchased EVERYTHING MCarbo offers, so I will review each item individually also , but the "All in One Bundle" worked out better for me.
You ever look at your Sub2k and wonder if it is Megatron from the cartoon? Lol. Well this trigger kit was icing on the cake. Smooth and you can make a sub 2k on par with any 9mm carbine! Great service and fast shipping! Really want metal feed ramp and also for feedback add the extended glock mag release to this kit!!! Even if you up price then this kit would be the badass of all badaases! That extended glock mag release is a must have as well.
Kit is complete with everything you need except a punch and needle nose. The video on the website cuts off, but the same one on YouTube is complete. Couldn't be easier if you are able to follow instructions. Took about 2 hours (but I'm meticulous). I did the lower feed ramp and trigger bar too. Just assume you need one of these for every S2K.
I was about ready to dump the 40 cal S2K GEN 1, as It was too picky with the ammo it liked, leading to many FTF, It was just plain unreliable, something that defeated the whole purpose of buying it. I watched the install videos a few times to see where the new parts and improvements would be, then bought the full kit. The kit arrived quickly, and with the video, i finished it in 3 hours, mainly due to running back to the computer to do a step at a time. I took the finished gun to the range the same day, and put 60 rounds thru it with no mishap and very smoothly. The trigger was awesome, and I actually had incredible groups. This innovation of MCarbo saved my S2K !!! The parts quality was light years from the manufacturers , and the feed ramp was excellent ! With the polishing kit provided, the result ended any FTF issues compared to the original cheap plastic. I highly recommend getting the whole kit ! My only issue was the armorers wrench didn't fit my model, which only had 4 indents on the recoil tube nut, not 6. But otherwise, all the tools youll need are included .
I use a sub 2000 gen 2 at work and so I wanted one for my personal use. When I got it I started looking online for upgrades for some of the parts and that's when I can across m'carbo. I bought the trigger and spring set and the extended mag release. I wish I had waited just a week longer for them to release the Steen rods but that's life. Anyway it's a completely different feel now when I go out shooting. I wish I could get these upgrades for the one I have at work. The next thing you need to release is a metal feed ramp to replace the stock ones. I can't count the times we have had to replace them at work.
Finally finished rebuilding myKel-Tec Sub-2000 with new M*Carbo parts, Pro Performance trigger job bundle Buttstock Pad, Bolt tube cover, Recoil Buffer, Rapid deployment latch, M-Lock rail covers and Shell Deflector. Yesterday I went to the range and the rifle shot amazing, trigger felt crisp and clean. thank you M*Carbo great job!
I bought the following MCARBO products via their website for my Kel-Tec Sub 2000 Gen 2 which supports Glock 19 magazines: MCARBO trigger spring kit MCARBO trigger MCARBO trigger guard MCARBO screw kit First, I received a follow-up e-mail to let me know my order had been received, processed and shipped. I was informed of a series of excellent installation videos on their website which we used to prepare for the install. My order arrived and my neighbor and I completed the install using the excellent videos to guide us. I highly recommend ordering all four products and doing the install simultaneously. I am very pleased with the results as the trigger pull was reduced into the 5 pound range, the metal trigger is a real improvement, as is the metal trigger guard, and the screws greatly improve the appearance of the gun. So, after we completed the install we took the gun to the range and this is how it shot as we zeroed it at 25 yards with the red dot sight we put on just a week earlier. First shots were low and left and we adjusted into the bullseye at center mass. The rest speaks for itself...50 rounds at 25 yards all on top of each other. Noticeable improvement in accuracy with the new trigger springs and trigger. Really give it a better feel. Much more responsive than the stock trigger. OVERALL: Very pleased with MCARBO products and service. Definitely recommend these products for Kel-Tec Sub 2000 Gen 2. All 5 stars!
Awsome product. everything ive bought from yall has been high quality.The only thing i was disapointed in were the folding sight,sight would not stay up from recoil. Sight mount is awsome. thank u guys fun shootin. Sincerly Fletch
I purchased this bundle with the flat trigger, the double charging handle, and extended mag release. I would suggest that you purchase the dowel also; I had issues getting the hammer to go far enough back to engage the sear. The installation, aside from the aforementioned issue, was simple and quick. The flat trigger provides a more comfortable trigger face than the curved oem trigger. A metal trigger and trigger guard prove to have more longevity of this firearm. Mcarbo is prompt and constantly in contact with you from the time of purchase; a service model more companies should adopt.
Purchased two of these bundles fairly recent (one for myself and one for my son). Just got done installing these upgrades on my sub today and the platform doesn't even feel the same, as it did before. I know that's to be expected, but... I'm completely blown away. Its almost surreal, that these little upgrades makes the weapons feel completely different; in a good way of course. Haven't tested it at the range just yet but can already tell, messing with it at home, it is greatly superior vs stock. Everything in this bundle is a definitive upgrade to the Sub, hands down. Polishing kit was also a nice little touch. If you're reading this review, you're going to want to upgrade your stock sub with this bundle, as it's the most effective way of getting all the internal parts, upgraded, in one affordable bundle; All assuming you haven't purchased the M-Series Sub2k from these guys, that is. 10/10!
I contemplated it for a long time but this kit is absolutely necessary. Everything included except blue lock tite. You will not regret the purchase and with the installation videos there's no way to go wrong.
But did it with ease! Great install video! The step by step was pretty easy to follow. Not sure the trigger pull weight, but it's a beauty! The trigger, trigger guard, steel carbon parts! My sub 2000 is awesome!
First off...congrats on creating a company that really typifies what "Makes America Great"!!! If every company provided products and service similar to MCARBO, there would be no ceiling on American productivity! The parts are first rate made of extremely high quality materials. Fit and finish are outstanding. And the videos...BRAVO! Also added the recoilless charging handle & buffer and Glock mag release. You guys are awesome!
I had plans to do just the springs and trigger until I shot 200 rounds out of my sub and noticed my lock up wasn't as tight. That inspired me to purchase the whole kit plus the feed ramp. Very well made components with precision fit and finish. Plus my lock up is tight again which is what I was hoping for with the replacement trigger guard.
