I received this kit much faster that expected. It arrived on a Thursday, so I waited until Saturday to install. I watched the installation video on YouTube, then started the install. I had everything installed, and back together in a little over thirty minutes. I used my Lyman trigger pull guage before and after. I went from a 9lb 11oz average of five trigger pulls, down to an average 4lb 9oz after the upgrade! The trigger break is much more crisp, which makes it feel like an even lighter pull. Thanks M*Carbo, for offering such a great upgrade for the SUB 2000.
I bought this kit a few years ago, and it had a couple of quirks. They've all been ironed out since, and work together to make this an excellent kit.
Purchased all in one kit for sub 2k and after installation nothing but light primer strikes ! After repeated phone calls with no answer and emails which take forever to get a response they'll say to clean and lube firing pin which made no difference. After putting in stock springs gun worked like it did prior to mcarbo kit . Horrible customer service and won't trust their products anymore . Too bad as they have some good stuff and great ideas but leaving me with a weapon that's inoperable isn't the kind of " brotherhood " I'd like to be a associated with !!
I ordered the kit with the straight trigger. I really like the trigger shape and trigger position. The kit came with everything for the job.It is a complete kit and with the instructional video it was easy to install. * The results * Originally, my gen 2 .40 cal had a trigger pull of 9 pounds. After the kit is installed it has a 5 pound trigger pull. Everything feels very solid and the break is clean. I gave the kit 4 stars because the trigger pull is still pretty long and the feel is a little grittier than I would expect. I can determine if the is because of rough edges on the new trigger bar or the fact that the new set up is so solid that you can feel every micro bump in the sear engagement. Overall, a very good purchase and great improvement.
This kit has it all. This will take the spongy long travel and sloppy trigger and turn it into a crisp and concise trigger. From the springs, the lube and the feed ramp, all parts are top notch and are all made in the USA!!!!! If you want the most out of your SUB-2000, then this is the kit for you. Took my rifle to a whole new level. Trigger went from 8.6lbs of slop to a nice crisp 3.9lbs. I opted for the flat trigger as I like the feel of it.
I bought a sub 2000 and basically all of the internal guts that they sell for that weapon. I studied your Youtube video long before your parts arrived. It was just what i needed to give me the confidence get the job done. I am very proud of the end product and I would not have even had attempted it without that well done, step by step video.
Every part fit perfectly and improved the the feel of the gun 100%. I followed the video step by step and it's worth it. Chris is meticulous in describing each step and the potential pitfalls. A must have upgrade for your Sub2000.
I purchased this kit along with the steel feed ramp, polishing kit, recoil buffer, bolt tube cover, and skeletonized charging handle. These MCarbo Sub 2K accessories are fantastic. They drastically improve function, performance, and the over-all shooting experience. Customer service was outstanding. I even got a call from MCarbo President, Chris Nelson, to confirm some special instructions on the order. Installation of all parts took me about 1.5 hours. As most have already noted, the Installation Videos by Chris on YouTube are the best. No issues for me. I highly recommend MCarbo and would never purchase another Sub2K without adding MCarbo accessories.
I have done this to all three of my sub-2000. These parts have changed my sub-2000s from hurting my finger with a sharp plastic trigger with a heavy pull to much more accurate not hurting my finger with a nice trigger pull. I highly recommend anyone with a sub-2000 all of these parts. They make your gun function better and not feel like cheap plastic.
WOW love this upgrade! The trigger feels awesome now and the new trigger guard feels much better while gripping the gun!
This is a must have! I loved the Sub2000 from the factory, but this bundle is a must have. If you do only one thing, this is it! It makes the weapon such a joy to shoot (it was before the trigger job) but now it is such a breeze!
Superior quality, The M* CARBO parts made the factory parts look like toy parts. fit and function was perfect, installation was easy especially when following along with the video link for installation.
Great kit for the Sub! Shot 200 rounds on Friday, installed the kit that night and went back to the Saturday to shoot. It's a night and day difference. Don't think about it just go ahead and purchase the kit. FEED RAMP Please!!!!
If you are going to use this rifle, this upgrade is a must. Out of the box, the trigger is very heavy and mushy. The new metal trigger and lighter springs makes this a real shooter. If you are going to take the rifle apart, it just makes sense to install better screws and posts. My only regret is that I forgot to order the SS feed ramp at the same time. I have since.
Bought this as it folds in half making it a great gun to keep in the trunk or under a seat. Having cheap aluminum inserts holding the rifle together, a Plastic trigger that has apparent flex when firing, a plastic feed ramp, and a plastic trigger guard that doubles as the release/lock when folding/open is a bit concerning. Found the MCarbo kit to be the perfect addition to this. the installation may seem daunting and scary but Chris does a great job of walking you through the installation in the video. Comes with aluminum trigger, and trigger guard, and steel pins for the inside to screw the Fram together. this is a must have if you own a Keltec Sub 2000.
Installed the upgraded trigger kit, trigger guard, magazine release, muzzle break, recoil buffer and buffer tube sleeve. Installation for everything was just under 2 hours and the video(s) were a great help. Only wish the trigger bar was available at the time so I could have installed that too!! Excited to take it out and compare it with my buddies (who hasn't had any upgrades) against mine. Will definitely buy again from Mcarbo!!
