Haven’t shot my pf9 since I installed the ss guide rod and new recoil springs but way better just racking slide, I know will be better and these guys are great with follow up to make sure all is good, great folks!
Even though it's my carry weapon, I tend to to not shoot it frequently because of bouncing. This adds some much needed weight and with the 20lb spring, it shoots great. Now ready for a trigger and spring kit upgrade!

I was searching for upgrades for the Kel Tec PF9 that is my EDC when I'm not working at the Range, and I came across the M*Carbo site. The first upgrades I ordered were the stainless steel guide rod and heavy recoil springs. They quickly arrived and installation is a no-brainer for anyone who has ever field-stripped their semi-auto for cleaning. Now I'm waiting on the flat trigger and trigger springs upgrades. I hesitated to order these because I had never done this kind of upgrade, but once I saw the video on how to do it, I was convinced that it is within my capabilities. I can't say enough about the M*Carbo organization. Great products, quick response and great follow-up. I'll be looking at their S&W M&P9 upgrades for my duty firearm after my PF9 has been upgraded into the kind of shooter it was designed to be.
Bought and installed the new PF-9 stainless steel guide rod, looks great and should run way better than the plastic rod. The original rod was already showing wear and haven’t shot it that much. Had not had any problems with the old one but for the price you can’t go wrong 😀
What a difference this upgrade made. Add it to the trigger spring and new trigger and you be extremely happy with the new performance.
Put the new stainless steel PF9 guide rod in and looks great, way better than the plastic one that was in it. And for the price you can’t go wrong
Replaced the trigger and guide rod springs and the flimsy guide rod. Parts came super fast. Never stripped the PF-9 down that far before. THANK YOU for the video including the hammer block. Did not know about having to reset that. Operates smooth now with less kick.

The steel guide rod from M Carbo is a finely made part for the kel tec pf9. Made a huge difference! I Would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade their pf9
Not a whole lot to say about it. It is a stainless steel guide rod. Fit’s fine. Gun seems to cycle properly with it. Haven’t shot yet, but it should be just fine. The flimsy plastic one had seen better days. I’d never replaced it. I’ve put probably close to 1,000 rounds through this gun so it was good to get it replaced with something better
I recently installed the stainless steel guide rod and heavy recoil spring on my PF9. I assumed the slide would feel heavier, but I found that the slide was actually easier to manipulate. It felt much smoother than before. Highly recommend this upgrade. I haven’t had a chance to fire the gun yet but I will update when I do.

Well with getting rid of that plastic rod! If you have a PF9 you should definitely get this steel guide rod!!
