Review
I ordered this kit for my SW40VE and installed it. Install was easy but their “alignment” tool is trash. I ended up using a toothpick I cut down to make it work. The one provided was to short and to narrow to hold the spring. The before pull weight was 10lbs. After install the pull weight was 10lbs. No change at all. Very disappointed with that. I emailed their customer support 3 times so far with no response except for their most recent email asking me to leave this review. Do not waste your time or money.
I recently purchased and installed this spring kit in an sw40ve I purchased used, and the difference in the trigger pull is night and day. Pulling the trigger is still a deliberate act, as S&W intended with the 10+ lb pull they built it with, but the increase in comfort and accuracy that the 5-6 lb pull provides is substantial! Great price, fast service/shipping. Well done all around!
This trigger spring kit for the SW9VEand SW9VE, makes a huge difference in lightening the trigger pull. Feels like a 50% reduction. Well worth the cost of making you side arm 100% better. Watch the installation video before starting to work. Pins can be tricky but it is easy.
Easy install. Yes, I said easy. I am ordering two more to install in my friends' Sigma's. Thank you, M Carbo!
I've owned this S&W 40 SW40VE for quite some time and have really never liked it due to the trigger pull. I', a procrastinator and kept saying I'm going to get this fixed (or sell it). Well this quarantine BS and me being laid off was a perfect opportunity to get some things done and this was one on my list. The installation was very simple and well laid out watching youtube video (I can do anything with youtube ;-)) Very happy with the results.
Well I didn't know MCARBO and Chris and his crew. First of all fast friendly multiple follow up order and delivery. The upgrade video is top notch as I looked at dozens of others, not even close to the detail in MCARBO. Took me 30 min for total upgrade and testing. Schweetness
Best thing for the S&W ve pistols, couldn't wait to put it one when I got it and glad I did night and day difference. Easy to do too just follow the video and u can't go wrong love it. Thank you Chris can't wait to shot it now.
Purchased this kit for my SW9VE that I have owned for several years, have not shot it much but after a suggestion from a friend, decided to reduce the trigger pull, what a difference. It came down about 40% and is so much smoother. I did this change on my own and the video provided by M Carbo was spot on and made the process pretty easy, thanks M Carbo for a great product and great help. Also, received the parts really fast especially in todays times.
Lowered the pull by about 4 pounds and was easy to install. Will shop here again.
Trigger feels much better, Gret qualty part
One thing anyone who has a SW9 knows is that the trigger is super hard. Installation took me about 30 minutes. I did it while on a conf call. Nothing important on the call so gave me time. Process was easy just a bit harder for me since my fingers are a bit fatter. Overall glad I purchased.
It’s easy to install, thanks to the video provided. I went to range after the install and immediately saw an improvement in performance.
I just finished installing the MCARBO spring kit in my Smith & Wesson Sigma 9mm. I could feel the difference in the trigger pull as soon as I had the weapon back together. My son also has a SW9VE and there is a world of difference if you pull the triggers on them side by side. My only complaint, and it is extremely minor, is the plastic pin you include to hold the pigtail spring during re-assembly allowed the spring on mine to block the pin from going through the hole. I used a finishing nail, as someone else suggested, to install this pin. I didn't even cut the nail down. I just pushed the pointed end through the assembly, and used the pin to push the nail out from the other side. I believe the point on the nail helped line everything up as it was pushed through. This made it a lot easier to get the pin installed.
This spring kit took me from a 9.6lb pull to a 4.96lb. soooo much better and easier to change than I anticipated.
I nailed a Smegma cheapn sans papier. Found the trigger to be.....well, like a Smegma. Then I looked around for options and found THIS KIT. Wtched the video, got the tools together, and (timed—20 minutes from several retries from stiff fingers) boom! Now i have a GUN not a paperweight. Triggerfeels like a DAO well tuned revolver, buttery smooth. Love it!
This was super simple to install and Wow, so much better. My prior trigger pull was so stiff that after about 10 shots I would have muscle fatigue in my hands. I cant wait to see how my shot group improves. Thanks so much.
