Review
The video made the install easier, but the trigger pull only dropped 2 lbs. I did polish the parts but maybe they need a bit more.
Happy with the trigger springs I got. Everything worked really good but the return trigger reset spring. Thats the only spring I had to leave original. I had to push the trigger forward so I could shoot another round. After putting original back in...the whole reduced trigger works well. I recommend it
Dear was already polished from the factory, I only replaced the seat spring and trigger spring. Trigger pull was 4.4 lbs. before and 3.3 lbs. after changing springs. Good Deal!!!
I bought this kit and used the polishing kit and video instructions to make my trigger lighter, by half, and butter smooth. I'd put it up against a 150 buck aftermarket trigger any day. Also, a big plus is learning so much about my rifle while I tuned it up! Thanks M Carbo.
Bought 4 spring kits for 10-22 rugers. As we all know factory trigger pull is a lawyer trigger. Anyway watched video disassembled polished everything like video shows. Installed new springs. Pull went from 7.5-5 lbs. repolished. Same pull. Called mcarbo. Sent pictures of polishing and hammer Witch is different from one on video. Mine has bushings. They tried to help but had not delt with that hammer style so returned all spring kits. Didn’t help as much as I expected only 2 lb reduction
Part were perfect and easy to install following the video. Very good improvement in trigger pull.
I didn't get the reduction I was hoping for. Trigger is still a little stiff. About 3.5lbs measured with a luggage scale so not the most accurate. Chris's videos are the best. Very detailed and make these mods easier than expected. Certainly worth giving a try.
Super easy to install and a big improvement, best value added so far! Thanks
Pro's: Easy to install and reduced my factory trigger pull by a little over a pound.... not the 50% reduction claimed but still a definite improvement. Con's: No installation instructions supplied nor could I find any on the website. Consisted to 2 springs, 1 longer than the other.... no identification as to which was which. Looked up 10/22 trigger group disassembly on YouTube to determine which was which. Overall a good product. Not the result I was hoping for but still a definite improvement.
Excellent kit I installed those springs and polished internals per your great video ....what a difference in trigger pull ! I have ran a few shells through it , now I have to sight in the new scope .......thanks again
I have an older 10/22, around 20 years old and I never did care for the original trigger but I was always too cheap to buy one of the drop-ins. I disassembled the rifle completely, gave everything a thorough cleaning, and polished all the pertinent items on the trigger. Re-assembled with the new Mcarbo trigger springs and now the trigger is buttery smooth and breaks right around 4-4.2lbs. Very happy with the results. Never been disappointed with Mcarbo trigger springs!
Easy to follow Video, Polished parts, installed springs, crisp trigger release now !!
I recently bought a new Ruger 1022. I had sold off most of my weapons in 2019, preparing to move, including my lovely old Walnut stocked 1977 Ruger 1022. I should NOT have sold that. >There is a Cowboy song I heard, which says, "Never sell your guitar or your saddle..." I'd add your 1022 to this list. You'll miss it, and you'll have to get another one. >So I did, and soon I found the M-Carbo video on how to improve your 1022 trigger. I watched that video several times, even though it's so blurry it gave me a headache. But M-Carbo CEO explains the workings of that trigger assembly very well, and I wanted to learn something. >I bought the 1022 trigger spring kit. It wasn't the same as what's in the video, but I learned enough from the video that I had no real problems. In my kit, there was no little dowel for the re-assembly process, but I was able to snip a workable substitute out of a Q-tip and use it as described in the video. Using that, I followed the steps, polished the contact points as shown and re-assembled my trigger with the new springs without fuss. >My new trigger feels better. So I rate this product highly. My only suggestion would be to reshoot the video, using a better camera mounted on a solid tripod. The instructions are very well done, but you don't want to give your customer a headache from blurry visuals.
Have not had a chance to put the kit in . but looks good and shipping was quick. Will do another review when I do . still looks like good product at a great price.
Fast shipping have not installed yet waiting on other parts to assemble a 1022 target rifle . Will update .
I installed the trigger lit on a new 1022. It went in easily. I looked at your installation video, which was an excellent training aid. The trigger pull was reduced 25%. This helped to increase the accuracy. I highly recommend this kit.
