Watched and followed the installation & polishing video. Was a 6 lb trigger and is now a crip 5.5 lb trigger. Trigger has a clean break now but, I contritribute that to the polishing, not the springs. Disappointed.
Don’t waste your time with this. I polished and installed the spring kit. Went from 6.5 lbs to maybe 5.5lbs. Ended up buying a Ruger BX trigger. Now I have a 2 lb 10 oz trigger. Matt
This is a great thing and easy to install. It took five minutes to do. I will get again. The only improvement would be a slave trigger pin.
Installed this in about an hour including the polish job. Factory trigger pull was 5lb 9oz. After installing this and polishing the sear and hammer, pull was reduced to 3lb 11oz.
This kit along with the infomation in video made for a easy fix. Had a few trial and error times but went back to video and it all worked. Only thing was in a few spots the video was blurry and out of focus, but it still did the job. Next will be trigger on my 9mm shield.
Great deal for the money, have them in all my 10/22's
I followed the installation and polishing video to the letter and achieved remarkable results! My trigger pull was cut in half and the smoothness is definitely noticeable as well. I am certain this improvement will improve my accuracy.
they are false advertising this product. I tested the before and after with 2 different trigger pulls and the pull weight did not change. they didnt want to refund me even with the false claims. then after a couple weeks of back and forth they agreed to refund me, come to find out they only refunded me 75% of MY MONEY eventhough they got their product back???? false advertisement and terrible CS.
Got my 10/22 spring kit today. Did a quick polish of the trigger components outlined in the video with some red rouge and a rotary tool. Installed the new springs in a jif. Much cleaner and lighter. Only 4 start for now as I want to see how it performs and how durable they are over time. But first impression is very positive.
We were having issues with trigger pull on his new 1022 Shooting a 75 yard match and helps with his learning
Holding the factory spring and the replacement in my hand, I couldn't tell a difference. Polished, cleaned and installed springs and gained around 1/2 pound improvement. I'm still up around 6lbs. Nicely packaged, good install videos, just didn't actually improve my performance.
Installed in a new 10/22 with good results. Installation was breeze. The stock trigger was close to 6 lbs and this kit lowered it a little under 4 lbs. Sure not 2.75 lbs like claimed. I'm thinking it will lower when I get some rounds down range. This will be my grand daughters first firearm so the trigger she'll get used to. I would like to see mccarbo offer a kit with a couple of different spring choices.
I did not get the results that I was anticipating. The original trigger pull on my 10/22 was 6+ pounds, after I installed the two springs the trigger pull was 5+ pounds. Definitely not what I was hoping for after all the effort involved. Installation would have been a frustrating tragedy without your video. Your video is very informative and is now part of my library. The only improvement I would suggest on the video would be to eliminate the blurred parts, they are annoying and distracting. The two springs are made of high quality springy material, they are fine springs. I’m not disappointed with my purchase.
Does lighten the trigger but this must be installed and the trigger, hammer sear must be extensively polished. While it will reduce the trigger pull, the real improvement comes from the polishing of the sear and hammer. The more extensive the polishing (and use a decent compound) the more you will get out of the trigger. Do nothing or almost no polishing and you will get almost nothing usable out of the weight reduction.
As noted, it did reduce my trigger pull by a 1lb, but not half as repeatedly stated in the video and description. I don’t know of a standard 10/22 trigger that is already 2lbs. Great video and instructions. No issues at the range. Economical way to lower it along with a little polishing.
Great upgrade. I paired it with a Magnum Target trigger from Brownells, polished the internals and love it. Would never consider changing this out, its perfect and very affordable.
