NEW Ruger 10/22, trigger tip

I purchased a new 10/22 carbine with a plastic stock. After changing out for an old walnut stock, my trigger stopped working, I disassembled the mechanism and found nothing wrong, until online I found mention of a problem with the safety plunger turning during removal of plastic stocks. Upon inspection from the top of the otherwise empty mechanism, I noted my safety had a "W" groove, instead of the wide "U" it should. I rotated the plunger by locking onto both sides of it with medium Vice-Grips, and turning it 180º until hearing a faint click. I checked for, and found, the "U", and installed my trigger spring kit, which arrived in the mean time. My 10/22 now works better than new! I've had two prior 10/22's. This is the smoothest trigger yet. And I didn't have to do all the polishing. Thank you.

After some shipping issues were straightened out everything arrived packaged nicely and in perfect condition. Installation was super easy and the improvements to the trigger were excellent.

Nice cheap upgrade for my BX Trigger

I ordered this and the BX Trigger together, but my BX trigger average pull weigh was 2lb 6.6 oz so I was very happy and didn't care to change springs. Ended up changing them just for fun and brought the average pull weight down to 2lb 0.6 oz.

The trigger return spring may or may not be heavier than the original BX spring but didn't care to try again with it.

Overall it's an easy upgrade with the video instructions and works great on the BX Trigger

Nice kit

The reduction was not as great as expected. However, components and video (including polishing) were exceptional.

Nice upgrade!!

Great video, made my kids watch this so they could learn how to clean their 10-22s better. As for the kit, the install tool for the trigger should be thicker, it kept falling out unless it was held level. The trigger pull was lighter and smoother. Also for the 10/22 in the video you mentioned fixing the bolt locking bar, please do this, I will buy 5 of them.

After installing the spring kit. Was expecting a lighter trigger pull. But there is no difference. Still about 5 lbs. Not happy with results

I found this spring kit while browsing for trigger upgrades. i decided to give it a try since is would be a cost savings over purchasing a new assembly.

prior to ordering Did a polish of the sear and hammer as shown in a You Tube Video.

I received the springs very quickly and had a chance to install them today. prior to installing them, i tested the pull weight of the trigger and it was 6.5 lbs. I installed the springs, reassembled and function tested the trigger. worked as it should.

I then tested the weight again and was disappointed to find that it was still 6.5 lbs!

I am disappointed that it didnt reduce the pull weight as advertised.

additionally the installation dowel that is provided to assist in re assembly is way too small in diameter. I had it fall out several times during the reassembly process and I was very careful handling the assembly.

On a positive note, i was very impressed with the follow-up after the order. I received an email asking if I had received the order (which I had) and asking if I was satisfied and to please review the product when installed. I found it refreshing for a seller to follow up on delivery especially since the Postal Service has turned in to a joke with extremely long delivery times in a lot of cases.

A note regarding the polishing I did. while i did not use the M Carbo kit, I used the same polish (Flitz) and the same type polishing tips on my Dremel and methodology as was shown in the You Tube Video.

I know this kit didn't cost much, but I had some problems installing it and could not get any customer support to help me out. It's been about a month now and after many phone calls reaching no one and sending in several emails asking for help, I got nothing. So there my kit sits, not working and I'm forced to move on to another kit. But this experience was not all lost because now I know never to buy anything from this company again. They don't support what they sell.

Not Bad

Reduced trigger pull and made a difference, not match grade or anything, but does way more than most kits 3 and 4 times the price.

Not much of an upgrade

Trigger pull went from a variable 5.5-6.5# to a consistent 5.5#. Not much of an upgrade. I then bought a competitor's hammer kit that dropped the trigger pull to 2.5-2.75#. YMMV

Not What I Expected

I thought it was a good value for the parts I was getting, but I only have a 1 lbs difference in trigger pull. I went from a 6 lbs average to a 5.

My 10/22 is a Davidson's. Polishing wasn't possible because of the different internal materials used. Nonetheless I reduced my Trigger Pull 20%. I like it, and I'm completely satisfied! I called M*CARBO and the large spring is the trigger control spring. The smaller spring is a new sear spring.

Looking for a way to lighten the trigger pull on my Ruger. This kit did the job. I also purchased the polishing kit. With the help of the video I was able to polish the trigger assembly and that resulted in a really smooth trigger pull.
