Review
Great product with detailed instructions available online, couldn't be happier.
Video doesn't cover the Glock 48 sear block which is different than the sear block in the video. Go find another video to work on the sear block. I had already installed a Ghost edge connector, prior to this upgrade. I used the middle weight 5lbs striker spring. Not sure the Mcarbo sear spring is any better than Glock 48 sear spring. by the way use another video to rework the sear block - the spring parts are different in glock 48. Lots of work polishing etc.. for not much change. Still measuring 5.0 lbs so maybe at best for me .5 drop.
I installed the spring kit on both a full size and compact PSA Dagger. I also polished the firing pin block, trigger bar, and disconnector. I do not have a way to measure the weight exactly, but it's definitely a lighter and more comfortable trigger pull.
I bought this kit to help my older Glock. Mt Glock was made before they were showing Gen's. The video was great! I polished all up and I thought it felt better, but without a trigger pull scale its impossible to tell. I asked a friend to bring this Glock over to compare the two. He brought over a 19 Gen 5. Well, Glock did a good job of getting better triggers in each new Gen. I think his stock Gen 5 had a better trigger then my old Glock 30 even after my trigger job. I also did my Hi Point carbine and the difference is amazing. (In a very good way.)
This kit made my Glock even better. Dropped the trigger pull down to 3.5#'s. After all the polishing and installing the spring kit my pistol is now ultra smooth. Had a couple friends shoot my pistol and they were equally impressed. Thanks M CARBO forma great product.
The end result is outstanding. Do not install this until you have zero distractions. I unfortunately gave it a go while wifey was gone and had seven, yes seven, large dogs to handle. Took a bit longer than I had anticipated. The change in firing the weapon now is impressive. Well worth the time of install.
Exactly what I needed to improve my Glocks. Fast shipping, reputable company. Buy now!
BUY ONE NOW !!! I just installed and shot the MCarbo Glock trigger springs kit (4lb striker, 6lb reset & reduced safety plunger) in my P80 G19 and it lowered the pull to 4 1/8 pounds from a horrible 6 1/4 pounds. I polished all the internal metal trigger parts which greatly improved the "smoothness". It didn't help the "take up" but noticably improved the reset. I just ordered 2 more spring kits for my stock G42 and G36 which I'll polish also.
Installed this on home built and is really working out. Pulled apart and polished EVERYTHING that could be polished. Pull dropped from 6.08 to 4. Well done!!
So I just finished installing these and now my trigger is around 3lbs. Maybe I polished too much? Haha
Purchased this kit in an attempt to lighten the trigger pull on my Glocks. So far I've done a Glock 27 and a Glock 22. I installed the 4 lb. Spring in both and am now seeing trigger pull of 3 lbs 9 ozs to 3 lbs 12 ozs., a decrease of about 1.5 lbs from stock. Use of the polishing kit helped smooth the action also. MUCH better than stock.
I don't buy new or used Glocks without buying the Mcarbo kits any more for them. The difference matters and now my buddies are demanding em too. Performance based referrals are the best.
I came across MCarbo when I was looking for ways to get a lighter trigger pull. I watched the video and was immediately interested in trying the"Spring Kit". Installation was so easy and immediately felt a better pull on the trigger. I wish MCarbo can find a way to make the reset shorter and this will even make the SD40 run even better. All in All the kit made a very big difference to my trigger pull. Great Company, keep it up and more power Bros. Vernon (US Navy Veteran)
This spring kit took up all the take up on my Shadow Systems DR920 and it made it so crisp and smooth!
I've been shooting Glocks for decades but until recently had not thought much about upgrades and customization since most of my trigger time was on department guns that by policy could only be worked on by the gunsmiths. After I ordered the springs I watched the MCarbo Glock video several times and did the polishing before the springs arrived as I had the dremel, felt wheels, and compound. Soon after the springs arrived I installed them, again replaying the video to make sure I didn't miss any steps. Everything went very smoothly. Definitely a better and lighter trigger (no gauge to check actual trigger weights). Fully recommend both for the trigger improvement and the learning from the DIY installation and polishing. The videos was invaluable and the enthusiasm shown made it even better.
Great customer service and parts. Made my dad's Glock 42 clunky original trigger to a smooth runner. How-to vid's are also top notch.
