I’ve been thinking about doing a trigger job on my Glock 17 for a long time now. Finally broke down and bought the kit. I’ve been taking my Glocks apart for years, so the video was extremely simple for me to follow. I already had a Dremel, flitz and cone shaped felt bits. So I got right into it. I polished everything the video told me to. And I changed out the springs. The whole process took around 35 minutes. Second time will be easier and quicker, because I won’t need the video. Anyway, my gen 3 G17 had a 5# stock trigger . The average pull on my wheeler digital gauge read 2# 11oz after the trigger job. I installed the 4 # firing pin spring.Much cleaner and not as mushy. All in all, this is a definite improvement from the stock trigger. Not necessarily night and day, but more than I ever expected! After all, this is a duty gun!
I wouldn't have done this upgrade without the videos. Their accuracy gave me the confidence to even let my kiddo break the GLOCK down to it's bate bones. It was a straight forward job and he already wants to break it down again to do the polishing. I wish I had a trigger pull meter cause what a difference just with the springs. Quality parts! Great products! Ended up being a more simple replacement than I first imagined. What a difference these kits made for both weapons. I did the 40 first, and compared with the 10. You could tell the difference immediately! Very happy to make the changes to them both!
I used the trigger spring kit on a Glock 23, Glock 26 and a Glock 27. Used everything that was in the kits and followed the video, including the polishing, and triggers came out excellent on all the pistols. They were all around 3 1/2 lbs. Video was excellent and easy to follow. Would highly recommend the trigger package!!!!!
I had never disassembled my Glock trigger mechanisms before so I was a bit apprehensive. Used the MCARBO website video to do trigger jobs on both a G22 and a G19 GEN 5 (had to do a little internet research to find the right video detailing disassembly of a GEN 5). The MCARBO kits had the right replacement parts to accommodate each trigger job. If anything I gained an understanding as to how Glock internals function. After polishing all of the parts (a DREMEL tool made it so easy) I used a 10X magnifier to see how smooth the polishing compound had affected the parts. WOW, what a difference! After reassembly, trigger pull was noticeably less and very smooth for each pistol. Saved lots of money when compared to the cost of buying (expensive) replacement Glock triggers.
I received a Glock that had sat outdoors for a week in rainy weather. In search for replacement springs I ended up on MCARBO's website. Watched their instructional video on the Glock Trigger Spring Kit and ended up purchasing the kit along with the Firearm & Feed Ramp Polishing Kit. After tearing everything down, running through an ultrasonic cleaner, I polished up the parts and replaced the springs. I was beyond impressed with the smooth action and trigger pull. Cant recommend these kits enough. I immediately purchased the trigger kit for my CZ P01 (because real men carry CZ's :P). MCARBO products will be first in mind for any future purchases. Especially since instructional videos make everything super clear and easy for anyone. Thanks guys!
I bought this kit for my gen 4 mod 19 9mm. I followed every step shown in the video and then some. I used the kit and a previously purchased feed ramp polishing kit. I did all the polishing by hand on all the parts to a lustrous shine. According to my wheeler tool it reduced my trigger pull from 5.3lbs. to a sweet 4.2lbs. The trigger pull went from a sort of sloppy pull to a crisp take up and nice crisp snap. Ammo feeds flawlessly. I swear I even shoot straighter now : o) Very sweet deal, fast shipping, and a great kit which I highly recommend.
I installed the #4 firing pin spring. Polished the firing pin and firing pin safety. Replaced the firing pin safety spring. Excellent results, trigger is way smoother with what appears to be lighter pull. Don't know cause I do not have a trigger gauge. Will order the same kit for my Glock 17. Be careful with the extractor plunger spring. It can go flying on you (or at least mine did). Lucky for me it landed on the back of my neck. Definitely worth the money and it may appear difficult but it is not that hard to do.
The Glock video was incomplete for the Glock 43, Gen 5. Please update for removal of the trigger pin and installation of the trigger spring. It took me a couple hours extra to overcome this missing information. However, I still love the MCARBO products and the improved smoothness of the end results was well worth the extra time. I have upgraded 3 pistols and would buy MCARBO for the ret of my pistol a when. Available.
I have a Glock 20, and 21. I did the 21, and left the 20 stock. In the end, there is almost no difference, so I put the stock springs back. There is no sense in having a modified trigger, with no benefit.
Received my Glock trigger spring kit yesterday and put it in immediately. Went to range today and what a difference it made. My "go to" for shooting improvement...M*Carbo!!
Spring kit arrived today and I installed it this afternoon! I put the kit in a new unfired gen 4 model 17. The factory trigger was heavier than average at 7.25#. After about 2 hours work (mostly on polishing) I was able to get it down to very crisp breaking 5#! The new trigger pull actually feels much lighter than the scale is showing! I am extremely pleased with the results and have already recommended it to a couple friends!
I have had my Glock 23 And 27 for at lease 20 years. I changed the trigger spring kit on both weapon. The trigger pull in both of my Glocks, is the same smooth pull as my 1911. Good work by MCARBO on the parts.
Just got back from the range to test fire my Glock Gen 5 17 after I installed the Glock Trigger Spring Kit and did the polishing by following the how to video. It is like I have a brand-new trigger for a fraction of the cost, very smooth and much lighter than it was when I purchased the gun. Hard to believe it's the same trigger assembly.
