This is the third spring kit I’ve purchased and installed from Mcarbo. This one on my wife’s P238 turned out just as good as my 2 guns. Great product and easy to install. Videos are priceless.

Awesome mod

My P238 trigger wasn't bad but not great either. Together with the polishing kit, the new spring set makes the trigger feel like a true 1911 (what I'm used to). Significantly improved first shot placement and group size.

Can't beat this kit with a stick! Quick Shipping & Great Customer Service from the MCarbo Brotherhood! *USPS Lost Mine but we Found it) Whether you own a Gen 1or 2? Get this for your SIG P938! I polished just as instructed in the extremely easy to follow video & installed my Gen 1 kit for my 938 Extreme which had an horrendous trigger pull! (8-10lb) she was very gritty & just funky.. She's a smooth crisp trigger pulling shooter now! I don't even need the laser anymore. Just wasted $40 bucks on that. This is a must, the proof is in the pudding!

Best thing for the 938

My p938 came from the factory with a trigger pull measuring right at 7lbs. About a year ago I put in a Gray Guns flat aluminum trigger, which reduced the perceived pull and eliminated over-travel, but it was still measuring just under 7lbs. After dropping in the MCARBO spring kit and doing the suggested polishing, I'm measuring a 4lb pull consistently. For $20 and 20 minutes of my time, I'm extremely happy with this result.

Between 5.38 to 5.875 lbs trigger pull now

After polishing the hammer and installing the springs, my results are 5.38 to 5.875 lbs depending on where the trigger is pulled (how high or low on the trigger the scale is tested. I'm pleased with this, and the trigger feels much smoother. I did not test the pull weight before, because I don't have a dedicated scale, but subjectively it feels like there is no grit at all, smoother, and much lighter.

The way I tested is that I filled a gallon water jug and weighed it on a bathroom scale and used a piece of coat hanger wire to lift the jug up by the trigger to test the trigger pull weight. I did this many times until I narrowed down the amount of water that would cause the hammer to drop.

Then I measured the amount of water in the jug and calculated the weight of the exact pounds and ounces of water (my scale is digital and in kilos with a 0.2 kilo accuracy, so measuring the amount of water in ounces and calculating the weight provided more accuracy).

I think its close enough, and for an SAO pistol for concealed carry, I don't think I would want to go much below this.

The feel to me is as if it has a hair trigger now when actually pulling the trigger, but I know it takes something over 5 lbs to make the hammer fall.

close to being "butter"

second install of this sig spring kit for me (P238 and P938). Great value for this kit which is a 15 minute install and improves trigger pull and removes any gritty feeling.

Did not perform as advertised

I have a 938 with roughly a 7.5 lb trigger pull, which I got the trigger spring kit from MCarbo for the 938/238. I swapped both the hammer spring and firing pin spring and only dropped down to roughly 5.5 lb pull, so only a reduction of 2 lbs. Granted it did reduce the trigger pull weight but not to the advertised trigger pull weight of 2.5 lbs which is what I was looking for.

Didn't work

I have purchase various trigger reduction pull kits from Macabre previously and polished the internal parks and it has reduced my trigger pull but unfortunately this kit didn't change the trigger pull still over 5lbs just where I started. Very disappointing.

Disappointed in the reduction of pull

I ordered a Gen1 trigger spring kit based upon the claim that it would reduce my factory trigger pull by close to half of what it originally was. I received the shipment very quickly and was impressed with that, however that was probably the only impressive thing that happened. I have a digital trigger scale and decided to do a before and after comparison of the replacement. My five pull average before the trigger spring replacement was 7# 13.2oz. I then replaced the springs that come in the kit and did another five pull average. Surprisingly the pull was only reduced by about a pound with my after replacement five pull average being 6# 12.1 oz.

I reached out to the company about my results and their solution was that I may need to do additional trigger work in order to actually achieve the results they advertised. Considering they advertise a certain range of trigger pull reduction I expected my trigger to be closer to those numbers with no additional work.

Disappointed overall with the result and the companies solution. I try to support small business owners and especially Veteran owned firearm component companies, but this was definitely a miss.

Doesn't get easier

I usually stay away from home gunsmithing my Sig pistols. But Chris’ video made it very easy for me to install the 2 replacement springs, and polish the hammer engagements & feed ramp.

Buying from MCarbo is quite educational and self-empowering.

I bought these springs to improve the trigger pull on my girlfriend's

P238 .380. Thanks to the excellent "How To" video, installation was stress-free.

I've worked on triggers on four Glocks, an H&K VP9, a Sig Sauer P320 X5, and three Smith & Wesson M&P's, and this was by far the simplest. Trigger pull went from 5.5 lbs. to 3.5 Lbs.

Thanks to M*Carbo for a great, reasonably priced product.

Easy and worth it..........

Purchased 2 of these spring kits for a pair of P238s we own.The spring kits were very easy to install following the linked video. (My kits did not come with any grease as shown in the video but it is not mentioned in would be in the kit with the pic of the kit so maybe it wasn't to be in there.) It took approximately 30 minutes to do the first and maybe 10 to do the second not including the polishing. Smoothed out the trigger with less force necessary to dry fire the pistols. Have not got to a range yet.(C-19) Super fast shipping and very inquisitive about your thoughts about the whole process which means this company cares.

Thanks M*CARBO!!

Parts look great and easy install. Almost!! Be sure you put the pistol in a bag when you are reinstalling the safety detent. Why? Because I was very fortunate to find the detent TWICE when it flew out. Gun feels much smoother and with the polishing of the hammer contacts it works great.
