Great price, Fast shipping, and Easy How to Install Directions!
This was my first order from MCarb--spring kit was high quality, fit perfectly when installed and the shipping was very quick and well packaged. THANK YOU!!!!
Fast shipping, easy to follow video. Took about 30 mins to change the springs out in my Sig 938. Great product.
Well I was interested in the trigger reduction. I ordered 2 of these kits. Unfortunately they got lost in the mail even while tracking them to our local post office. I called mcarbo and they sent me out another set. Awesome service. I have to give them top notch service credit for that. Now for the product. I have the older models so I also orders the mail spring housing from Houge. Had to file the opening a little so the pin for the sear spring would fit in deep enough. Not a big deal. I started with a trigger pull of 7.25-7.5 lbs. this kit drop it down to 3.25-3.5 lbs. luckily I have 2 and got the same results on both. Nice to have both to make sure the parts went in the correct way. Went to range today with the wife and they work led flawlessly. Very happy great product and service. Thank you
This is my first purchase and experience with M-CARBO and it's been a great find. The parts were great but the thing I really liked is the video that was available and just the general enthusiasm and attitude that this company seems to have. Keep it up... you have my support!
This was a great upgrade on my P238, good directions to install parts, i also got the polishing kit as recommended. Do not have a trigger " gauge", but seemed to be better, took it to the range, put a bunch of rounds thru it, shoots great!
Ordered 2 of these for a quick/easy upgrade to my 2 P238s. I honestly didn't expect it to be that big of a difference but I was wrong. First of all, the parts are qulity....secondly, the installation video was spot on in explaining the process, and third....the trigger pull was seriously reduced. I bought the polishing kit with them and did the whole process at once. Best 30 minutes spent on each of them and the cycle flawlessly!!
I bought the Gen 1 trigger kit and a polishing kit. I installed the trigger kit and polished the hammer and feed ramp. I don't have a trigger pull gage, but I can say that my P938 trigger is much better. The improvement to the shoot ability of the pistol is significant. Bonus, it was really easy to install.
I gleaned a lot from the instructional video for improving the Sig P238 Trigger. The polishing (and I was VERY conservative with that) made quite an improvement in the smoothness felt when taking up the Trigger slack. I also noted a slight improvement in the "crispness" of the Trigger break. The MCarbo Springs, on the other hand, only made a slight improvement. Using a Wheeler Trigger Pull Gage (non-digital) I measured the Trigger pull weight prior to doing anything, after polishing using the OEM springs, and after polishing using the MCarbo springs. I tested each configuration five times. Prior to doing anything, the Trigger pull weight was over eight pounds (the gauge maxes out at eight pounds and only one of the five tests came in under that at about 7.8 pounds. After polishing with the OEM springs installed the Trigger pull weight was between 7.0 and just over 8.0 pounds (one of the five tests did not break prior to reaching the 8 pound max). After polishing and with the MCarbo springs installed the Trigger pull weight was 6.5 to 8.0 pounds (3 between 7 and 7.5, one at about 6.8 and one at about 7.8). Am I interested in returning the springs for a refund: not at all! I will leave the MCarbo springs in my pistol at this point. Every little bit does help. Would I recommend them: I don't think I could go that far. It appears as if a lot of folks had much better results than I did. Perhaps they would work well for you also. The MCarbo folks were a pleasure to deal with!
I put this kit in using the video guide and it makes a dramatic difference in the smoothness and weight of the trigger pull. I’m impressed.
So far so good. Hopefully it doesn't create any reliability issues. Trigger is far lighter.
Went from 5.25# 1.9# love it. Watch the video it tells every thing
The springs worked perfectly with my Sig 938 and the installation video made it very easy. I would definitely order the parts again and I'll definitely order from MCARBO in the future.
I am not an armorer by any means but with the video replacing the trigger springs was a piece of cake! My gun has the ambidextrous safety and was not covered in the video, but was not difficult to figure out. I also took the opportunity to polish the feed ramp too. Thanks Chris for a great product and instructions.
I got nowhere near the 50% reduction in trigger pull going from 5-6 lbs to 2.5-3. More like going from 5 3/4 to 4 3/4 to 5. I chose not to use polishing compound and buff like mad in your video, preferring to just barely touch the full cock surface on the hammer with a fine Arkansas stone. My feeling is that power polishing may round over surfaces and possibly decrease safety. I'm happy, it's a better, crisp trigger and a good pull for a small defensive gun.
Replaced stock springs with these and the improvement is very noticeable.
