I didn't have the crazy high trigger pull ppl talk about. I was about 7lbs. I am now at 3ish. I did also do polishing and added the Galloway Precision shoe. As always fair pricing and fast shipping!
My wife was not happy with her P238 trigger pull. We installed the MCarbo spring kit which took about 7 - 10 mins very easy. She is happy and now I am happy.
As others have commented, the striker spring kit might help. It did drop my gen1 P938 from 7 to 6 lbs. Ok. Ho-hum. The bigger change is to (nearly) flatten the sear spring... not unlike a 1911. This mod dropped the pull to a clean 4lbs. I am hoping MCarbo re-releases the thin, sear spring like before so everyone can buy a drop in spring that corrects the P938/P238's heavy trigger pull.
I recently bought 2 of these kits. 1 for my gen 1 p238 & 1 for my gen 2 p938. I cerakoted my P238 first & as soon as I was done re-assembly went very easily with the new Mcarbo kit. This is of course after I bought a new gen 2 main spring housing. Re-assembly of the complete weapon was about 25 to 30 min. So basically if you are just doing the kit, after watching Chris's video it shouldn't be more than a 20ish minute job. My trigger pull on my P238 went from 7lbs2oz down to 3lbs 4oz. As the title say, the difference is like night & day. I highly recommend this kit to any p238 & p938 owners.
Ordered the gen 2 version, received the gen 1. Used the springs provided. Trigger was using a 7 pound pull, after spring replacement, 3 pound. Glad the pull was reduced. However, the kit did not include the sear spring and plug. I have tried multiple times to contact M*Carbo, left message asking if the gun is safe without the sear and plug without receiving a response.
Easy to do, great MCarbo video to follow. Made my P239 Legions trigger really nice and smooth. Reset also better. Learned more the firearm I own by doing this inexpensive upgrade.
My p238 has new life breathed into it. Easy to install and no regrets on such an affordable simple upgrade!
Installation was easy and it reduced my Trigger from 6 lbs to 5 lbs.
Huge difference in trigger pull, easy to install, was shipped no time at all after I ordered it. It showed up here in no time. Will definitely deal with this company again.
great price. great product. well made. Video is amazing easy to follow. video is also good for tearing apart firearm to clean and maintenance. thanks for the help and great products
The comfort of firing my pistol is amazing! The confidence of American made product is exponential with Mcarbo and a Crusader trigger.
Replacing the trigger spring and polishing the hammer made a dramatic difference in the pull! Easy video to follow for the install. Great service and follow up!
Arrived quickly. Two days ahead of schedule. Video was excellent in helping with installation of springs. 7.25 lbs initially went to 4.25 lbs. Polished trigger and feed ramp with polishing kit. Haven’t gone to the range yet, but sure springs will lighten up a little more. Very satisfied with parts and service. Thank you!
Went from 4lb 14oz to 3lb 8oz (10 pull averages). I didn't polish anything still got 1-1/2lb reduction. The break was and still is good.
Great kit easy install good trigger pull fast shipping
Just received the Sig P238 spring kit. Prior to install trigger broke and 8lbs plus. My trigger pull tester only went to 8lbs. After taking the pistol apart I did polished on the sear and hammer contact area. The finished trigger brakes at 6lbs now. Part of the problem with the Sig P238 is that the trigger take up is 3 to 4lbs alone. I'm very satisfied with the end results of the spring kit. It did make a noticeable improvement in the P238. One note getting the sear back in is quite a hassle so removing it is not for the faint of heart. Thanks M*CARBO.
