Wonderful customer service first of all! I called numerous times with questions pertaining to the MCarbo version of the Sub 2000 as well as some other parts for my other firearms... My Sub 2000 came on time and it looks amazing! Cant wait to shoot it!!
This is a follow up to my initial review. I had a chance to put about 120 rounds down range at about fifty yards. The gun ran perfectly and had very nice grouping. With just a little elevation adjustment it will be spot on. I have no comparison with the Keltec factory trigger, but the MCarbo trigger was smooth and light. Great job MCarbo. What a fun gun to shoot.
I bought the M Carcbo Kel Tec Gen 2 Sub 2000 for my wife for Christmas and couldn't be happier with the whole process from start to finish. How can you go wrong with having the pros at M Carbo doing the work for you for a price cheaper than if you did them yourself. I called M Carbo to add some extra internal work and some more accessories and the customer service was fantastic. The delivery process to my local dealer was seamless. Thank you to everyone at M Carbo for a great experience.
This m series is totally awesome! I put 150 rounds through it today and it ran flawlessly, all the upgrades made it feel like I was shooting my M&P 1522. I purchased this carbine for home defense and fun at the range. M*Carbo did an awesome job and their customer service is top notch! I would highly recommend the m series to anyone. You guys have a customer for life!
$800 plus $30 shipping is a lot of money to pay for a Kel Tec Sub 2000 that turns out DOESN'T WORK out of the box. I contacted M-Carbo about finish issues, dings, scratches, wear right out of the box. To make matters far worse, the FRONT SITE point was adjusted CLEAR OVER TO THE LEFT! The front adjuster screw DOESN'T work to move the front site point over to the right so I can get it back into the center!? No matter how many time I turn the screw with a coin to the right, the front site doesn't move and just hangs out to the left. I loved the first impressions I got with this gun but now I'm feeling I wasted hard earned money! >:( NEW gun and more negative surprises doesn't leave me wanting to be a Kel Tec Owner! :/ I contacted Kel Tec today and added the following: Not Happy with my Kel Tec MCarbo Limited Edition Purchase Issue description: I'm not happy with the fit and finish as to which I received a "New" Kel Tec. There's dings and scratches up and down the carbine barrel finish and the entire unit was caked in some sort of brown dust? I'm requesting a replacement or repair and refinishing of the barrel, especially! There was scuffs and rub marks all over the polymer plastics as well. I have a regular "Non MCarbo" Kel Tec that I purchased new at gun shop that was in impeccable shape when I purchased it new; I expect the same from a limited edition, even more! Even the locking lug nut at the end of the barrel is marred and stripped from being handled roughly with a wrench or at the factory? Considering I paid a premium and I really care about this gun; I'm petitioning you guys to go above and beyond the quality mark and tolerances in which I received this rifle and firearm! I'm NOT happy with the purchase and I feel there is a double standard under the Terms and Conditions on MCarbo's website that states what is required for returns to be refunded: The supply of Goods which are, after being delivered, opened and used, scratched, dinged, bent, or damaged. Products cannot have been installed or used in any fashion. All items must be in "new, unaltered, and unused condition". Alas, there is no returns and refunds on firearms under MCarbo's Terms but if it were a "Part/Parts" then I received this gun in unacceptable condition and shape in which it wouldn't qualify for a return or refund under MCarbo's return policy. So please, advise me on what we can do here to make the situation feel right? I really don't want to go through the headache of trying to sell and buying another copy! Also, there is NO WAY to inspect the firearm in person, for its condition, or shape, before making an online purchase and that only adds to the stress. I really want to love this gun but it's more than just a shooter and daily use rifle to me. It was going into my collection of high valued Sigs, Glocks and Springfields... Also, I debated just buying the MCarbo Parts myself out of fear that the workmanship would be questionable on a MCarbo Edition. There is a reason I usually only install my own parts - because this happens all the time with gunsmiths where they strip the screws or ding and dent some other part of the firearm in order to rush an order through the repair. That's what this end product felt like...
The ordering process was a little confusing but it all went well in the end and I am very satisfied with the result. It shoots just fine. I had to explain to several people that you must look at the Mcarbo Keltec 2000 rifle in the context of its mission. When told how much it cost, the typical response was, you could have had an XXXXX for that money!!!! I have XXXXXs, YYYYYs and ZZZZZs but they are not typically with me. It is not a heavy-duty rifle suitable for sustained use in an adverse environment. It is a tool of a different sort, in my view, a shorter-term proposition that can be more readily available in case of an emergency. Taken in that light, it is outstanding and much improved by the Mcarbo changes.
I ordered my M9 sub2000 last week and came in today. I am impressed so far. I can polish the feed ramp and the trigger is great. Will do a follow-up after a few mags through it. I am hoping they do not stop the M9 series, I might order another if they are any left next month. Thanks M-Carbo and Keltec.
I have shot the regular kelltech sub2000 and it was nothing to write home about. But I looked at the reviews from M -Carbo and others on you tube and took a chance buying M- Carbo Keltech Sub2000. And boy what a difference, it feels so much more premium than the standard keltech they feel cheap. My M-Carbo version cost me about 1200 and I pretty have every upgrade to it and it's beautiful, best 1200 I've spent on a carbine thus far. Got it to replace the banshee 9mm I sold, wanted something that give me more velocity and a little bigger. M-Carbo did a great job upgrading the keltech sub2000. Like the saying goes, You get what you pay for.
Bought first one at local gun store. Seen the Mcarbo website and bought another "tricked out"! This lil puppy is sweet. Gave the stock to my son and now my neighbor gonna purchase 3 for himself and his boys. Anyone with Xtra ammo..... We gonna need it. Thanks guys and gals at Mcarbo, I'm sure we will be doing business in near future.
Just got done putting 100 rounds through this carbine and loved it! My girlfriend and I enjoyed shooting this one for sure. We both liked the lightweight, easy shooting and accuracy of this carbine. This rifle delivered and then some. If you are looking for a folding 'bug out' type rifle this is the one. The customer service was excellent as well. Looking forward to shooting this more and adding upgrades. The buttstock pad is already waiting to get added on. Excellent work MCARBO!!!
I thought I had lost my mind spending this much money on this gun. Probably twice what the regular model cost. But this is a fun gun to shoot. Shot a couple hundred rounds of cheap 9mm without a malfunction. It shoots tight groups at 25 yards but off center. I will need to adjust front sight. All the M*CARB mods are great. I bought the fore grip and butt stock and they were kind enough to install for free. They also installed the rubberized grip. I shot a friend’s 2nd generation and the difference in the M series is night and day. The M series is much more pleasing to shoot with a much better trigger and less recoil. My only gripe is why didn’t they polish the feed ramp. I really don’t want to take this down to polish it. Seems like it would have been way to do while they had it apart. And the 10 rd mag. I say save those for CA. I would have rather had the 17 rd mag. All in all no regrets. Nice to have a small caliber carbine that will fit easily in an average backpack.
I put 150 rounds through her this morning. The peep sight is wonderful. The trigger pull with the M*CARBO Performance Pro Trigger Bundle is smooth and easy as can be. I found my sweet spot with just a little pressure before it fires. The trigger pressure helps so much in keeping the muzzle on target. The grouping at 15 yards was perfect and I had little paper left at center mass. At 25 yards my grouping was still tight albeit high. So I need to do my homework and adjust the site or wait until my new glasses arrive. The recoil is negligible and I haven’t even put on the butt stock pad on yet nor have I installed the the front grip. What a fun carbine to shoot and I’m sure the M*CARBO components made the weapon what it is. One thing that seemed odd. I have a Beretta 92fs Compact which uses 13 round magazines. My 10, 15 and 30 round mags worded perfectly. My 13 round mags would not allow a round to be chambered. I have to compare them closely, but not until my new glasses arrive. Thank you M*CARBO, I really enjoy this firearm.
OK, i didn’t actually purchase M*CABO’S M series rifle, i did however, send my sub2000 to make it an “M” series gun, these guys are great to deal with and the turn around time was very fast, i have some of their products on my PMR30 and CMR30 as well, all i can say is that their products are of xlnt quality, shipping is very fast and they are a pleasure to deal with, thanks again M*CARBO
Kel-tec Sub2000 Gen 2 is a very nice home defense firearms. I took it to the range to test it out, I really like it and thank the Mcarbo brotherhood team for the amazing work.
KEL-TEC SUB-2000 Gen 2 - 9mm with Glock 19 configuration. I received my MCARBO Sub 2000, and Merry Christmas to me! I zeroed my red dot and now this rifle is ready for combat! After a few “happy sticks” of Black Hills Honey Badger rounds, I’m convinced I made a great purchase. It fits in my backpack, my briefcase, and will be very handy holstered in my truck. Not only did MCARBO deliver, they also installed the Optic Mount that I ordered. I didn’t even ask them to do that. That’s good stuff right there!!! It happened that I received my Sub 2000 and the Aimpoint red dot the same day. I took them both out of their boxes, saddled the red dot on the rail, and I was ready to rock ‘n roll in 5 minutes! I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank y’all very much & Happy Shooting!
I ordered the KEL-TEC SUB-2000 M-SERIES from mCarbo. My expectations were extremely high. I placed the order on the weekend and by Tuesday next, it was delivered to my local firearms dealer. My expectations were met and exceeded when I took this bad boy to the range to test it out. I’ll just say that it functioned flawlessly. Now all I need to add is a Red Dot. Keep up the great work mCarbo.
