I received the M-Series and was happy to see the craftmanship of the carbine. I could not move the rear site, way to tight and the set screw was not tightened. (Quality Control) I did make an attempt to contact them on the lead time and could not get any response for about two weeks and then I received an email letting me know the carbine was being worked on. So, I called a few days later to check and see if all was well because they had $1100.00 of my money. Still no phone call to this day. The only reason for the three stars is the customer service. I have ordered many upgrades from these guys just wish you could get a live person on the phone.
All M*Carbo parts were installed correctly and fit and finish was fine. I also had the rubber buttplate installed but not the scope mount. First 100 rounds were to familiarize myself with the carbine. Tuning the front sight was somewhat tricky due to my glasses fogging up constantly in humid hot air in the indoor range. Five shot groups settled down at 25 feet to 1.5 inches and centered in multiple 3 inch bull targets while fired in quick fire sequence from a standing shoulder position. Trigger action was excellent, and length of pull was OK, but the sight plane on top of the rear tube was hard to aquire instinctively. No noticeable recoil shooting 180 grain and 165 grain 40 S&W rounds. No failures to either feed rounds or eject brass. Shot like I expected it to shoot. I like the upgrades and the total product, but would like to shoot several hundred more rounds outside with better light to verify performance at 25, 50 and 100 meter distance targets to verify group size and centering. Overall a good product and worth the cost if getting maximum performance out of the Kel-Tech Sub-2000 is a priority. It is fun to shoot and easy to clean. Good work M*Carbo!
Love the gun. I've only had it on the range once so far, but but 170 rounds through it (150 115 grain Blazer and 20 Sig JHP) and all fired flawlessly. Sights were great right out the box. I'll probably adjust one click to the right on my next trip to the range, but I'll take the tight grouping with the peep sight any day. I have some adjustment to do with the ear protection since I have to lean so low to get a good sight picture, but I still love the gun. MCarbo for the win!
I just bought a keltech CQB last sunday and I was surprised and happy at the same time. I had fun at the range
I would of given a 5 star review but the front sight post was too low and could not be adjusted up or down. 2 local gunsmiths agreed that the front sight post was too low and could not be adjusted. Had the gunsmith repair the sight to allow adjustment up and down. I did notify Kel-Tec about the issue and I hope that they will check this issue prior to shipment. Cleaned the rifle and took it to the range. After the front sight post was fixed, fired about 150 rounds through the rifle and sighted in after about 20-30 rounds. No failures to fire, failures to load, failures to eject. Used 115 grain Blazer Brass I purchased for $8.99 per 50 round box. Love the rifle and hope you all enjoy yours as well.
Fast turn around less then one week great carbine
Ordered mine and some extra items to install later. almost ran out of patience but service dept kept their cool and I did too. When it finally arrived I was delighted to find they had installed the extra items! The weapon is a delight to shoot and runs well with any good Glock mag. ( the 10 round mag it came with was junk). getting ready to order more stuff for my other weapons. Love you guys!
Just got my S2K on Friday, did a full clean and lube and off to the range. WOW nothing but smiles great job M-CARBO !!! 200 rounds 3 different brands of ammo NO malfunctions of any kind. The only problem was my tired old (65yrs) eyes, guess I'll just have to order the optic mount and install a romeo5 har har. As a lefty the shell deflector worked awsome. NEED MORE AMMO ! As far as the M Series S2K goes, I really like it. Gave it a good cleaning then ran about 150 rounds through it yesterday and it ran flawless. Once I get about 1000 rounds through it, I plan on opening up the trigger control group and doing a polishing job on the internals. The special laser engraving is really nice and does visibly set it apart from other S2K's. I was questioned about it at the range yesterday by a couple shooters, one that already owned an S2K. Once they tried mine, one stated he'd be buying the complete trigger group for his, the other said he was ordering the M Series. Once more of these get out and seen on local ranges, they should become popular. Its a shame that there is no real good way to have these out where people can do a side by side comparison of the M series and a stock S2K. If that was possible and people could feel the difference the M Series would sell themselves.You've got a winner on your hands MCARBO!!
Recently ordered an M series kel tec from MCARBO in 9mm and the process could not have been smoother. Emails answered promptly and shipping was prompt as well even in these hectic times. Picked up from local shop in under a week. Rifle itself was flawless with all parts installed as advertised. Will be heading to the range this weekend to try her out. Excellent process!! Folks at MCARBO were friendly and when it came to ordering Sub 2000 very knowledgeable. Absolutely love the rifle. Having all the upgrades right out of box awesome! This rifle just makes sense..
I'm only recently getting into shooting and such and this seemed like the right initial choice to make to move up from a 9mm pistol. I've only been out once but the carbine itself is just as advertised. I found it fit me well and with blended lenses/glasses, it allowed me to position myself to better sight the targets. The optic mound is great but I haven't shot it enough to know about the optic staying sighted but once locked in the firing position, it appears to be a solid attachment. All the other M*CARBO upgrades just made the unit that much more attractive and functional for a novice.
First time to range had several stove pipes out of first 20 rounds .Have to get used to extended mag release.I will check back after 500rounds see how it preforms.
An outstanding carbine made moreso by the excellent MCARBO upgrades. The MCARBO optic mount is outstanding, the upgraded sights make a huge difference, and the upgraded metal parts will help this rifle last a long time. Well worth the investment! Several calls to customer service ( I live in MA which has crazy gun laws) helped me have confidence that the transfer would go smooth, and 20 mins after walking in to my FFL I walked out with my new Kel Tec. I'm a fan!
