I have a cmmg banshee 9mm 5inch barrel and a Daniel Defense Carbine that I just sold, the MCARBO Version of the keltech sub2000 takes are just as as good as those two carbines to me, with a 16inch barrel maybe a little better. I've not had one failure to feed, or issue with my Mcarbo Sub2000 and I've had it over a year with at least 4500 rds thru it. If you want a serious self defense weapon invest in the MCARBO Sub2000 series. The base model keltech is ok, but it's a plinker, Mcarbo makes this gun a competition carbine, and again a serious self defense weapon that you could go to battle with if need be.
This weapon is flawless! The upgrades make it fire effortlessly. The shipping was super fast.
I have a Sub-2000 that I bought from KelTec. Made a few minor tweaks. Thought I would shoot in USPSA PCC this year so I needed a backup gun. Ordered the M-Carbo version and now can shoot them side by side. OMG - what a difference! Love the upgrades. You have made it a different gun! Great Job!
Ok guys, I trusted you. I just received my Kel Tec sub2000 M series. I went straight to the range. Great gun. Next time mcarbo and kel tec join forces again I will purchase without hesitation. You have my full trust now. This gun met all my expectations and more.
NEXT DAY shipping on a "Chris Nelson Special" (M-Series KSub 2000 with added optics mount, buttstock pad, rubberized grip wrap AND internals polishing). I had it three days after ordering. No other online dealer does that for standard orders, much less for customs with add-ons and shop time. Next week shipping if you're lucky. They must keep these fully loaded versions on-the-shelf. How else could they do next day. And you call to talk tech, you actually get the guys putting your gear together. Who else does that? I'm looking at making another purchase from these guys in the next week. Great company, cool products, fantastic customer service. I bought this gun with all the upgrades and I love it. Now if I could only find bullets to send through it. Thanks MCarbo and Keltec for teaming up on this one best of both worlds.
Short answer…. yes. My Dad is 90. He was a long gun shooter (skeet hunting etc) which is not my thing. I wanted a gun I could take to the range that he could shoot while I was pistol shooting (and so we could share ammo). He loved it!!! Soft shooting, accurate, easy to rack. The additions to the platform made a huge difference to feel and usability for both myself and my Dad. It shares ammo and mags with my primary which makes it a nice addition to SHTF pack. The addition of metal parts makes me trust the weapon more. I have put over 1000 rounds through this in just a couple weeks with 0 feed issues. It eats everything. It does get warm after a couple hundred rounds. Trigger is light and tactile. Sights are right on. Red dot is nice but if you are an iron shooter you will have no accuracy issues with this. Fit and finish was excellent. It is lite, accurate, folds small and is fun to shoot. For me it was well worth it. It is not an AR replacement but I will use it as a home defense gun. As always MCARBO delivered a quality product. Best of all I get to hang out with my Dad at the range!
It's working well so far, and fun to shoot. Never tried a stock Sub2000, but was interested in getting one. Glad I stumbled upon this upgraded version. I likely would have done some, if not all, of the upgrades if I got a stock model anyway. I like the trigger and peace of mind knowing some parts have been replaced with more durable ones (especially the feed ramp). I did order a notch sight for mine, but instead it came with a peep sight. But I think I might actually like the peep better. I thought the peep hole was going to be too small and make sight acquisition slower, but it's actually very comfortably sized and I can pull up the sights very quickly so I'll keep it as is. Did have one light strike at the range out of a few hundred rounds, but it could have been the cheap target ammo. I'm happy with it, and someone at the range even asked about it. Just wish there were other colors.
Ordered in the midst of the Covid crap and waited a coupe months. I did shoot a stock Keltec Sub2000 and upgrades in this package cover all the bases. Trigger, recoil, sights, etc all make the difference. Couple with my Glock 17 and a few happy sticks Im ready for whatever comes our way. Will buy more upgrades like single sling adaptor as well. Keltec made a good sub rifle, MCarbo made it great.
Dead on accurate even when you are running her as fast as your trigger finger will go, i had to change targets each magazine because the bullseye would become too obliterated to see. The trigger is everything they promised it would be, i had a gen 1 for a while and remember the old "squishy trigger" very well, there is no more of that.
My brothers. You have created a masterpiece. Flawless feeding of anything I give it. Glass trigger, especially compared to stock (only complaint I really have with my stock 40). I will be buying the trigger package and othe upgrades do my Sub 2K 40. Looking forward to the project! Thank you! I can’t believe I finally have a G19 model after years! If you can find them, most are selling well over $800 for factory stock. Best deal out there!
