Review
This product is much better than the original part from Ruger. A lot more material on the part to ensure no failure. I highly recommend it.
Much better than original pin. Highly recommend!
Much heavier duty than stock pin. Definitely will not break! Good upgrade!
Just installed and tried out at local indoor range. Very happy with the performance and level of quality. Big enhancement to my new micro pistol!
Installed takedown pin and spring kit in the wife's carry gun. Note if I do another spring kit I'll limit my self to one cup of coffee not 3 cups. I did the trigger spring kit at the same time and spent more time looking for the springs that went flying. It was still a lot of fun
I ordered two of these heavy duty take down pins ,one for a friend and one for myself. They fit & work perfectly and they are quiet the upgrade from the pin that comes standard in the LCP 2 . No problems and shipping was quick . I added M-Carbo to my Home Screen so I can keep an eye on their web page for any new parts or other parts for my collection of hand guns.
Saw this part on youtube and decided to order one for my pistol.
I bought a used P938. I have installed this kit in my daughter's pistol. My new used purchase had a 7.3 lb trigger pull, way too hard. It looks like it has a Galloway custom trigger on it. It reduced it to 5.5 lbs, not the 4 or under I was looking for but I think it is due to the custom trigger. I was getting a 3.8 lb on my daughters stock trigger. So, I will look into the custom trigger to get a lighter trigger pull. But, totally happy with this kit and Chris's video's is what makes this easy work. Thanks Chris.
This part is high quality and very easy to install. I highly recommend this part for your Ruger LCP.
Definitely way more reliable in comparison to the factory pin.
I put this in my Ruger LCP1 & I think it is a definite upgrade to the original one.
The nature of the product is a really simple install, so I can't really credit Mcarbo for that. But the product it self seems pretty stout and looks like it will hold up well over hundreds of rounds and thousands of hours of concealed carry. Time will tell, but I have confidence in Mcarbo products.
Easy install. Works great, much more material than stock. Should last the life of the gun, plus wont back out on its own.
It still walks after a few rapid fire rounds, but far less than factory. Plus, it makes life way easier than the factory pin.
Purchased a Ruger LCP II in .22lr. Read all the reviews about the factory takedown pin failures so I ordered a MCARBO beefed up takedown pin to avoid any issues. The aftermarket pin worked fine in the .22lr. I liked the LCP 2 so much that I purchased the same pistol in .380 caliber. I attempted to order a MCARBO takedown pin for that pistol.....they are on "Backorder". Took both pistols to the range today.......thinking that the .380 is more likely to shear the takedown pin I swapped the two pins and put the MCARBO pin in the .380 and the factory pin in the .22lr. The pin is supposed to be for both models. The MCARBO pin did NOT hold up to the hype. It continually back itself out of the .380 after 2-3 rounds. I swapped the pins back and put the factory pin in the .380 and it stayed put. The MCARBO pin works fine in the .22lr but NOT in the .380.
I have this in two different handguns. Installs in minutes and the product is visibly better than the factory part.
