Product adds a nice length to my KelTec. Better sight picture ad a better feel on my shoulder. Nice work! Install video was spot on. Thanks
Just installed yesterday with no problems. Just takes a little patience. Great feel and very satisfied with product
It's surprising how a small butted can make a big difference, but this is a really quality product. On the installation, the top two screw holes were a touch high on the interior molding, causing the nuts to not fit easily - but that was easily remedied with my dremmel. Only about a 1-2mm issue, probably due to my holes not being exactly 90deg. Quality product, easy installation, great service.
Definitely more comfortable buttstock compared to OEM ! Felt less recoil!
After firing the Sub2000 I knew I needed something on the stock. That is when I found this great brotherhood. I reviewed the install video and decided I wanted to be a little more precise in the install. I started by securing the buttstock pad with two trigger clamps. I could have drilled through the existing holes of the pad into the stock but did not want to risk damaging the pad. Instead I determined a 3/16" x 1" tension pin would fit snugly in the pad and provide a straight guide for drilling a guide hole through the stock. Once the initial holes were in the stock, I used progressively larger bits until each hole would accommodate the screws that came with the pad. This process was a little slower but ensured each hole was properly placed. (The idea of scratching a mark and then drilling as in the installation video seemed to just invite having one of the holes off line.) This method also caused the raised area on the inside the stock near the top holes work as a hold for the nuts. In the end, I think anear perfect installation.
Looks great, my Sub 2000 feels more solid, easy install.
I ordered M-Series 9mm from M*CARBO. I also ordered the Optic Mount (see separate reviews for M-Series and optic mount). I purchased butt stock pad and single point attachment. Both were easy to install after/while watching YouTube install videos by Chris from M*CARBO. The butt stock pad fits perfectly. The single point attachment for sling is very robust.
Part fits Sub2K gen 2 perfectly. Easy install with masking tape to hold in place and a drill press. Longer pull length is nice.
This is great! Installed in only a few minutes and what a difference, the rubber feels much better against shoulder and being a bit wider, it doesn't slide around. Extended the length a bit making it all that much better in my opinion, soon as I shoulder, sights are right where I need them. Great Upgrade! Great Price!
Es de buena calidad lo único que personas como yo que utilizamos en lo más pequeño del orificio no cierra el rifle
Purchased this butt stock pad because of sore shoulder area after range time. Looked at did websites for something came across this item. Watched the video and was impressed. Followed video had trouble getting holes just right. The holes where off so I pulled out my Dremel tool and tweaked it. Fit like a charm. If you experience sore shoulder from your Sub 2K invest in the buttstock pad. Your shoulder will thank you. John W.
The only thing is to be careful drilling, it gets tight against the struts on oem buttstock. The extra length of pull is great!!
A drilling template would make this MUCH easier to install and is so obvious and simple I'm surprised M*CARBO didn't do it. Maybe use the same paper as the shipping labels so it can be cut out and stuck on the baseplate. This pad adds about an inch to the rifle's length, which is a plus, but it's made of plastic almost as hard as the buttstock so it doesn't absorb a lot of felt recoil. I'm not taking it off but if I'd known it wasn't something more like a hard rubber shotgun pad I probably wouldn't have bought it.
I am modifying for a 73 year old 4 ft woman. After installing the pad, it is noticed the pad interfered with the front sight not allowing the barrel to be in a locked secure position when the butt is fully collapsed. The butt stock must be fully extended to properly seat. This situation allows lateral force on the pivot link that may require expensive repair to the weapon.
Two stars for comfort, after that it's a crap shoot. Be extremely careful when laying out and drilling holes. To far either way and the nuts will not line up with the screws. If you use any length of pull other than then longest the pad will not allow the sub 2000 to completely fold. M Carbo could at least supply a tacky back template to lay out the holes.
First you need to drill holes in your buttstock ruining your gun. Second, once the stock is mounted it will block the hole for your spring and bolt in the rear of your stock to disassemble your new weapon. You would need to have a drill on you if you wish to clean it lot take it apart. Not great at all
