Excellent edition to the Kel Tec M-Series Limited Edition PCC. Installed easily (watched video which made it easy). Definitely helps spread out the recoil to a broader surface of the shoulder. So far I've put around 500 rounds through this PCC. Thanks again Chris Nelson and the MCarbo Family of Workers for continuing to produce quality products that enhance our shooting experiences.

The installation took about 30 minutes, they key is to get the holes almost perfect, reaming out the holes for a perfect fit is required. The mounting screws that were sent required a 15/16" Hex Key, it would be helpful if a hex key was included with the buttstock pad for those folks that do not have an array of these hex keys. All-in-all the buttstock pad fit well.

This item took about 20 minutes to install. If you have a drill press it goes smoother than the video and just go slow. No marks or scratched to the original shoulder stock.

The Easy-peasy Buttstock Pad

Just as the installation video described, adding the buttstock pad couldn't have been simpler. I used a bit of my own ideas when it came to making the pilot holes, I used black electrical tape to hold the pad in place and a electric screwdriver with a drill bit to make the holes. And I have a drill press, so making the final holes were quick and easy. The whole process took about 1/2 hour, then I was at the range shooting in comfort.

The value is in added length of pull

Not thinking the felt recoil is much of an issue, but the value of this product is in the added length of pull. High quality and beefy installation process makes this a nice way to lengthen. Highly recommend if you're having this issue.

This was a great addition to my S2K

I could use an additional LOP so the small amount it added was welcome. Also it helps keep the butt in one place and well if I want to stand it up in my reloading room I can since it won’t slip and slid. Easy install with the aid of the video

Tips for clean installation

Very happy (I'd even say I am 'stoked' :) with the outcome of this buttstock pad installation, but please read the following lessons learned from my experience.

1. Use new/fresh/sharp drill bits. I watched Mr. Nelson mar the stock on his Sub2K as he was overzealous with his dull drill bit!

2. Use electrical tape to a. protect the areas where the drill bit could contact/mar your stock when it comes through. b. tape the buttstock pad to the existing stock and use the 1/8" drill bit to make your pilot holes. I would avoid using a punch or other hard tool. Trust me here.

3. With fresh bits it will go through that plastic-polycarbonate quick, so be especially careful with the 1/4" drill bit. Once it goes through initially, pull back and reverse the drill often.

4. Have all of the tools (3/32 Allen and 9mm wrench) that Mr. Nelson recommends in his videos.

My shoulder never felt better, after the beating I used to take shooting all those 9mm rounds! ha. Seriously though, I truly enjoy making modifications to my weapons because MCARBO shows you how to do it with clear, thorough videos.

Keep it up brother!

This butt pad is a nice upgrade. The quality and fast shipping were spot on as usual. Length of pull and comfort make it worth its weight in gold.

I had tried the slip on butt pads in the past and they didn't last. I was looking for something to increase length of pull just a bit and this did the trick. Extremely easy to install. I basically followed the directions with one exception - I used an appropriately sized transfer punch to mark the holes and then set the "divot" a little more with an automatic center punch. The holes were perfectly aligned the first time and I didn't have any "scrapes" on the stock. Very pleased with the fit, install and function - as with the other MCARBO items that I have purchased.

very happy with this upgrade to my sub 2k

I modded your mod, the addition makes a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE, but my 78 yr old Mom (yeah, I'm teaching her how to shoot) complained that it was better but still hurt her shoulder.

So, my solution was to go to the dollar store and buy some gel-inserts for shoes, cut one down to size and slide it between the pad and buttstock. It ain't much, but IT DOES, make a difference! Just can't torque down the bolts as much, cuz it squashes the gel. Lock-tite fixed that though.

I would highly recommend this addition, the pad, to your carbine. The insole was my quick fix just so I didn't have to hear Mom whine anymore.

Thanks MCARBO, you guys rock!
