Buttstock pad is great!

I purchased the buttstock pad with serious reservations about scaring the buttstock with the drill bit as the President clearly did in the video. But rather than pay the freight back and forth plus labor to install I tried it myself. Piece of cake. Came out perfect and my fear of making the length of pull too long was totally unfounded. I love it.

First off I should've watched the video below. That would've explained it. It really isn't for me. I was looking more for a recoil pad that is rubberized maybe, not all polymer. The product is awesome, just now what I wanted. The MCarbo customer service is A+. I was able to return it.

Made a little more comfortable with hold and length. Easy install

C’mon, a third oddball hex key? Good grief.

This is a nice product, and I’m glad that I bought it. Installation was easy right up to the point that I had to screw the damn thing together. Guess what? This is the third product that I purchased from M-Carbo that uses a different hex key! The butt stock, the replacement screw set for the receiver, and the quick detach sling mount all use different hex sizes. Guys, come on. Get it together. Buy screws and have the same damn size hex head and then sell the tool or include an Allen key in the package, one-size-fits-all, end of story, problem solved. We should not need to add a tool to our kit every single time we buy a part! Not everybody has a $60,000 set of mechanics tools just laying around like I do.

easier to shoot almost no recoil, quick install.

Decent product, but falls a bit short

Once the product is installed, it's decent, but the install fell short, and there are some things they could easily do to fix it.

First, no instructions? Not even a card to tell us you have a YouTube video? I had to find that on my own.

Second, where you're a US company, flying the flag proudly, why did you go with metric nuts?

Third, the star bit heads want to strip when given the torque needed to tighten down. You should go with Allen heads.

Other than that, I like the extra length the product gives, and the rubber seems well made.

Did it again

Disappointed

This is not a recoil reducing pad as advertised. It is a hollow block of rigid plastic with a thin layer of rubber on it. It does provide grip and keeps the butt from sliding around in your shoulder pocket, but it doesn’t and can’t mitigating recoil.

It also makes assembly and disassembly of the firearm very difficult. MCarbo needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. I’m now in search of a true recoil pad for my Sub.

Disappointed.

Was looking for easy upgrades for my kel tec that I could do myself because I’m no gunsmith and I should not have purchased this product. No where in the description does it include the fact that you need to drill holes in your gun in order to use this so you guys should really update that because I just wasted $30.

Does it fit Canadian Sub 2000?

The Canadian Sub 2000 barrel is 2" longer than the American standard. So the front post hangs a bit farther over the buttstock when folded. So I wanna figure out if it will still fit when folded. Can anyone confirm this?

Watched the video a couple of time, but installed without removing the factory butt plate. Just taped & predrilled with 1/8" drill bit removed tape, drilled holes to 1/4" and put butt plate in place, went right in with no problems tighten down screws & lock nuts (9mm box wrench works best) and was al done in about 10 minutes.

Pad is great, easy install.. only issue I had was when screwing the pad onto the stock, i lined up the holes on the correct lines and also so they were even with the original stock, not sure if i screwed the top screws in on an angle or not, but the nut was so close to the inside of the stock it was a little bit of a pain to secure them on there... with a little elbow grease i was able to make it fit, other than that, great product, worth the cost for the upgrade

I bought these for my two (2) daughters, who each have a Sub2K Carbine. The installation was simple and the results were very well received by my girls after the installation. With a simple wood clamp, battery operated drill and screw[drive it took all of 5 minutes to install from shipping box to tightening the last screw.

Easy add on.

This is a great addition to the function of the sub2k, the extra padding gives you an advantage on angular control and stance when engaged, adds comfort and control

The butt stock pad I ordered for my Sub 2000 was delivered within 2 days (advantage of living near Tampa, FL.)

Installation was easy. I used painter’s tape to keep the pad on butt stock and used a transfer punch to mark the center of the holes. Drilled the pilot and holes as described in the video. Easy as pie.

Thanks MCarbo for not only for the video’s for the upgrades.
