Order came fast and it was an easy install with just a few minor tools.
I just followed the video instructions and installed the pad in just a few minutes. No problem Man.
I followed the directions on YouTube and it went perfectly. I would recommend using a clamp (or even a rubber band!) to hold the butt plate in place while marking, it moves around a lot otherwise.
This buttstock pad feels super solid and does not move at all. Installation was really easy and I followed along with Chris’ install video. I highly recommend getting this pad as it has given my gun a more premium feel and look.
I carefully watched the install video for this buttstock pad and the install went well. This buttstock pad replaced one I had bought off of Amazon which was a cheap slip on that did not last that long. This is solid and still allows for the carbine to foldup. One thing I did do to facilitate the install, was to put duct tape over the buttstock, so when I was lining up the holes in this buttstock pad to the buttstock, I just poked a little hole in the tape, which was centered in the hole. It was then easier to drill the holes, knowing it was centered correctly in the buttstock piece. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a quality upgrade.
The buttstock was very easy to install. Just make sure you line it up. I was a bit off so had to make top 2 holes a little wider and slide it a bit. Even so, I was able to make it flush. it would have been just fine, but I could tell it wasn't lined up perfectly and made the adjustment. While I haven't shot it since installation, it feels great against my shoulder.
Got the Buttstock pad and after watching the install video I changed it up a bit. I taped the pad in place with electrical tape stretching it to hold the pad securely. Once that was done I double checked the fit and position then used a 5/32" drill bit and using the pad as a guide I drilled it in place saving from having to mark the stock with a punch. After that I removed the tape and pad and used the 1/4" drill bit to finish the holes. Worked perfectly.
Always great service. Easy installation. And now I have a much better weapon. I like doing business with MCarbo. The buttstock pad improved the gun dramatically. Love it.
Fast delivery, easy to follow instructions on website. Made huge difference in shoulder seating and comfort.
Was apprehensive in drilling into the factory butt stock, but the installation video was the key to move forward. Here is a helpful hint. Instead of using a sharp pointed object to make an indentation into the hard plastic, I used a small punch dipped in bright nail polish to mark the center of the four holes. This avoided trying to hold the butt pad while pushing hard to make a mark and perhaps misalign the holes. Made 4 dotes - drilled and alignment with pad was perfect ! the pad feels great against the shoulder. Great upgrade!
Was easy to position and install. Just takes a little fitting. With the recoil buffer it really dampens the 9mm recoil.
I have decked out my Sub2000 with every option possible from MCarbo and now my $400 gun cost $1,100. I also have a fun to shoot gun everyone wants to see. This buttstock pad is a nice addition mainly because it adds about another inch to the length making the gun a bit more comfortable to brace and shoot. Because of the softer recoil absorbing material it also does not slide around on the shoulder as easily. It was very easy to install. Is it worth it? I don't know, but I wanted it.
Although the recoil on the .40 cal Sub 2K is easy to handle, the factory butt pad would leave marks. The MCarbo aftermarket butt pad was easy to install, eliminated the Mark's and added to length of pull which are all a plus for me.
Great butt pad. install was easy with a little effort. Like all M Carbo products, its a perfect fit.
A great improvement over the factory buttstock. Way more comfy to tuck it in. Definitely improves the shooting experience. If you have a Sub 2k this is a must have.
