Put these in my CM9. 100% reliable with 3 different kinds of ammo. Trigger pull is definitely lighter, still smooth. Accuracy is improved by the lighter “break weight “, especially when I stretch the engagement range well beyond my usual 5-7 yds with this pistol.
Buy it you won't be disappointed. Easy to install and does the job. Just follow the install video and you'll be done in no time. It does the job and reduces the trigger pull. Easy install and I changed the striker guide with a stainless one, very nice.
Easy install in my pm9, it is everything they say it is! Lighter pull, especially at break, much easier to achieve the accuracy the pm9 is capable of! Also replaced striker spring guide with the Mcarbo stainless piece, exact replacement, thanks Mcarbo
over all very happy I ordered this kit. The trigger is a night and day difference . The install is super easy took me 15 min.
Didn't test the before but as for the after, my trigger pull weight is 6.5 pounds. If it's acceptable to you to pay over $20 with shipping to still have a heavy ass trigger, then avoid this, as the risk of light primer strikes isn't worth the negligible reduction in pull weight
This kit made a big improvement to my Kahr. The instructional video was well done and easy to follow.
Easy peasy. Outstanding video tutorial. We do a lot of M*Carbo mod installs and upgrades at our gun store. These products are awesome.
I purchased this to lighten the pull on my Kahr CW9. It reduced it by more than half and full reliability, no light strikes or misfires at all. Just buy it and see for yourself.
The kit does exactly what it says. Buy it. The install video is straightforward. It will not shorten the trigger pull. It does make it an easier pull. Buy it. Also get a good holster if you don’t have one. Your gun deserve it. Buy the kit. And get the stainless steel guide pin - you’re going take out the old one anyway to install the new springs. BTW the springs work as advertised. PS. Buy this kit. PPS. Sorry to be so cerebral.
Every weapon I have is getting a spring kit upgrade. My PM9 after this install (and an excellent polishing) makes me want to cry tears of Lead!!! Honestly, trigger spring installs are so relaxing and let you become completely intimate with your firearm (yeah like that!). If you have a handgun you don’t really like, do a trigger and spring upgrade - love will be in the air - DOWNRANGE! Action was smooth and precise, control and confidence really improved with each shot. My PM9 has once again earned its place in my vehicle. Thanks MCARBO!
The spring kit is awesome and installation is easy, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a conceal carry gun. Also, be sure to test your ammunition as light primer strikes cause issues with some types of ammo. For plinking this trigger spring kit is the bees knees! I used this in my Kahr TP45 and it worked as advertised until I used ammunition that had a harder primer. I was shooting plain-Jane Federal brass cased FMJs without issue. Over 100 shots fired without malfunction with the new, lighter trigger pull. I attempted to fire a magazine full of Liberty Civil Defense and gave up after 4 attempts with only one round firing. When I switched back to Federal FMJs, no more issues. Since this gun is my preferred carry gun, I wanted to run the carry ammo I had at the time. In 4 attempted shots with Liberty Civil Defense, 3 failed to fire due to the light primer strikes. These ran perfectly before I changed the springs and run perfectly now that I changed the old springs back. The spring kit is a great product, but I made a judgement error when deciding to “upgrade” a carry gun. If you go to Kahn’s official parts webpage, it will show you that the striker spring and striker block spring are used in almost all models. The striker block spring (little one) is used in all models and the striker spring is used in all models except ct380/cw380/p380).
Fit perfectly and what a reduction in the trigger pull weight. No scale but estimate it was cut about in half!
Thank you Mcarbo, another job well done. I love the trigger pull on my pistola with the upgrade springs. Big accuracy improvement with out losing the factory pull smoothness and consistency. Do you own a KAHR CM9? Buy this. . . .. . . And the video installation instructions are well done and easy to follow. M-carbo, is the business.
I was a little skeptical going in, but following along with the video made this job VERY simple. Pretty straight forward. Comparing the new springs to the old springs after disassembly, you can feel the difference in the spring tension. I don't have a fancy digital pull gauge as in the video, but it does seem to be lighter. I would for sure recommend this if you have a KAHR PM40!! Alan U.S.M.C. "A" Co 3rd Eng. Batt. My gun only had about 70 rounds through it so it was still rather stiff. Consequently, installation required a plastic thumb tack rather than a paper clip to push out the extractor rear pin. Still, installation was a breeze and only took 15-20 minutes, and the trigger pull feels significantly less than before. Can't wait to take to the range now!
Definitely a difference in trigger reduction but it still maintains A crisp reset. Anyone worried the the trigger springs Would make the Kahr trigger unsafe don’t have anything to worry about it’s still a double action trigger not a single action. Definitely Worth the investment
