This is a great kit. Installed easily and dropped my CW9 down to an even 4lbs. I prefer the double action style trigger for daily carry and this really puts its weight in a easy to shoot range without compromising safety. Great kit!
I just installed this kit on my CT380. Goes just like the videos for other kahr pistols, not difficult at all. Had it at the range last weekend and ran 20 rounds through without a single issue. The trigger is fantastic now! The length of pull is still long like most carry handguns, but the force is light and steady throughout the pull allowing you to maintain aim at the target throughout. Highly recommend!
I installed my PMP with the Mcarbo trigger Springs and the result was amazing. The long trigger pull is not a problem with the much lighter trigger pull. I just love it. I also replaced the plastic Kahr spring guide with Mcarbo’s stainless one. The step by step instruction made instillation great with no problems. Thanks Mcarbo!
Hello, just received my Kahr CM9 trigger spring kit....it arrived fast and works perfectly....thanks very much and thanks to all for their Service. Greg
The double action Kahr trigger has always been amazingly smooth, and taking a pound and a half off the pull weight has made it even sweeter. I had some reservations about how the lighter trigger would affect striker force and cycling, but am happy to report that I saw flawless operation with three different loads: Win 115gr FMJ; 123 gr FMJ/NATO; 124 gr Berry's THP (with hard CCI primers). Looking forward to the next project: the Ruger SP101 trigger. Thanks for the outstanding videos!
Exact swap of springs. Noticeable change in force needed ...but not a hairy trigger either. Video was extremely helpful. Great product
The video made it easy to install the new springs and the trigger pull is much, much better.
Although I had some concern putting a lighter spring into an EDC weapon, it ended up being 100% reliable, with ignition every time and no light primer strikes... now with an amazingly lighter and smooth trigger. I can't say exactly how much the pull weight was reduced, but about half seems correct, with a very consistent break and -- thanks to MCarbo's polishing kit -- a buttery-smooth pull and perfect feeding, even with mixed HP and FMJ in the same magazine! Swap is super easy if you've ever built a Glock upper, but even for a first-timer ot should be manageable. If you have a PM9 or CM9, install these springs!
First off, I took a risk buying this for the ST9 because it was not in the compatibility list. I called MCarbo, got a REAL person.. Dave, maybe? He admitted to me that they did not test these in the S-series. Well I thought: what the heck? It's $14. Worth a try especially considering the reviews. Product DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT!! Let's talk about it. I bought the Kahr specifically for its unique trigger. Love the flat smooth face without the safety dingus. But in my experience the design of the trigger, with its cam system leads to a sight picture problem. The pull of the trigger is great, with a little load-up right at the moment where it's going to break. You can almost stage it like a striker-fired pistol. At that point it takes just wee bit more pressure to pop. That wee bit change up ALWAYS caused a shift in my sight alignment and thus my POI. Enter MCarbo! The MCarbo spring kit did 2 things: #1) Lightened the overall pull weight. Not really a problem in the first place as anyone can get used to any trigger and there are great shooters running dbl action revolvers like champs... but now it feels REALLY nice. Under 4lbs pull! MOST IMPORTANTLY: #2.) It eliminated the "wall" by creating a very, very consistent pull all the way through the summer release. With this spring kit, I can't feel any change whatsoever until the trigger breaks- quite crisp and clean I might add. This allows me to keep my sights on point and has REALLY improved my already and consistency with grouping. TOO LONG; DIDN'T READ: Get it, get it now!!
Excellent video made it possible for me to diss-assemble my PM40 and install the spring kit and stainless steel guide rod. I also got the feed ramp polishing kit to get everything done while it was all apart. Very happy with how it all turned out
Quality parts! Great products! Ended up being a more simple replacement than I first imagined. Noticeable difference once reassembled. Very happy to make the change!
Installed a spring kit in my Kahr PM9 about four weeks ago and shot it at an indoor range. I was very pleased with my new setup, after firing 50-70 rounds. Yesterday went shooting with a friend and had nothing but light primer strikes. Couple would go off here and there, not real happy since this is a carry firearm that could have left me in a bad situation if that occasion were to arise. I was excited because of how much more accurate my hits were, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be. Sending them back for a refund.
After replacing a friends striker guide with the stainless steel one, I decided to add the spring kit for him. Checked the trigger pull before the install and it was averaging 7 lbs with a gritty trigger pull. Afterwards it dropped to 5 lbs, a two pound difference, which is great, but the amazing thing is how much smoother the trigger felt. All the grittiness was now gone! I really was not expecting that two little springs would have such a dramatic impact on this trigger. Great product, would highly recommend to anyone owning a Kahr pistol!
Adding to my earlier review. I have had some time on the range with the Trigger Spring upgrade. I must say that I do believe the upgrade made the differance in my groups. Much Tighter, as much as a inch at 15 yards for me. Trigger is still smooth all the way to the break. The pull weight is very comfortable. I would not want to go much lighter, if needed for a high stress situation. But thats just me. Lol Highly Recommend! TY, Cory
I installed three of these spring kits into a Kahr PM9, a P9, and a K9. The striker springs replaced 5# springs from Wolff Gunsprings that were in place for several years. These produced dramatic improvements in trigger smoothness and lighter feel and I am very happy. I have not live fired them yet, but I think there will be accuracy improvements judging by lessened laser dot movement while dry firing. I have no sense that safety is compromised in any way. For relatively small costs, these will be much better pistols. I wish I had tried these years ago. The video instructions are great. The staff members with whom I spoke were wonderful. Buy with confidence and wear eye protection!
