I added this to my Sub with the bolt tube cover, the skeletonized charging handle and the recoil buffer. Do them all at once. Must haves for your Sub!
Super easy to install QD sling mount to finish off that Sub P2K. This is an eternal project for me as there will always be something new to add that is a must have! I use the Magpul sling and it works perfectly. Five minute installation just like the video shows. Great quality and fit for professional functionality. Highly recommend this product.
Nothing cheap about this product! It's nice its sturdy and its reliable. No regrets of making a purchase.
Needed a sling mount. This is the best one I found. I didn’t like mounting to the plastic pic rails. Solid mount up. Great price.
Fit up just like it should. Nice finish and engineering. A bit pricey for a small piece of metal, but you get what you pay for...and I really liked the idea of this attachment point for the single point sling. As always, video was great to make sure I installed properly. Very happy with the product and service!
The part is great and works perfect for my purpose. I bought this primarily because the factory plastic collar sucks so bad as a way to hold the weapon together. I take the gun apart often enough that I don't want to continue to screw with gluing it back together. With this sling attachment, I put everything back together, push the collar on as far as it will go, snug the sling attachment up to it, and tighten the set screw on the sling attachment. For field (or zombie apocalypse) repair/maintenance, I won't have to worry about gluing the gun back together and waiting for it to set. It fits perfectly with the buffer tube sleeve and stock at full extension. Everything closes up perfect and there's no slip in the sleeve anymore.
I was really impressed with the quality of this QD sling mount. Fit and finish were excellent. Unfortunately, I was extremely tired when I first installed this and ended up mounting it backwards, preventing my QD sling from locking in. When I tried to remove it, the screw head stripped out. I emailed M*Carbo to see if I could purchase a replacement screw and they replied quickly stating that they had ship out a pair of screws at no cost. I can express how great it feels to have a company go above and beyond to fix a problem I caused myself.
Exactly what I was looking for. Works perfectly. I would definitely recommend this product. High quality.
Bought this QD mount after researching some sling options to try on my sub2k, mounted perfectly but unfortunately I used the black loctite offered in the Trigger Performance bundle and realized all too late that it bonds very very quickly. After spending about 15 minutes messing with the mount seeing if I could get it to work for my purposes, tried to remove the screw and it completely stripped out. Tried using alcohol, heat, etc on the loctite to loosen it up to no avail and now I have a useless QD mount permanently on my sub2k. To specifically address why it's not a good option for me, I wanted a single point mount that would keep the unit stable while hands free in both folded and unfolded form. With this QD single point mount, the center of gravity when it's folded is too close to the center of the firearm, so it will always flip around on you rather than hanging directly downwards, at least while using a clip like what I have on my sling, I have not tried an actual QD sling but I doubt the result would be much different. I suppose I should have realized this just looking at the install video before I purchased it, because you can clearly see the man in the video never shows it hanging while folded, presumably to hide its poor center of gravity. I have attached a picture to show what I mean. It's fine and dandy while unfolded, hangs just great, but when folded, gravity makes the lower receiver point straight up. When you look at the install video, he never allows it to dangle while folded so you never have a chance to see how it will hang, in fact he keeps his hands on it very intentionally while it is folded to conceal this design flaw. Maybe it's my fault for not being a little more suspicious and applying more common sense when seeing the position of the mount, but I watched the install video before purchasing, there were no such issues mentioned or depicted, and I guess it put the wool over my eyes. Feeling very irritated and taken advantage of due to that. The quality of the actual mount is good but the screw stripped very easily and now I'm probably going to have to take a hacksaw to the damn thing just to get it off my firearm because after mentioning that the screw is stripped the customer service representative I emailed said they won't accept a return, which I understand and all but it's pretty lame to have an instructional video where you don't show off all facets of the mount, ship it with an easily stripped screw, and then refuse returns after your shitty screw gets stripped out, as if they don't have hundreds of the things laying around a random parts bin somewhere in their warehouse. I'm uploading this review in the hopes that I get some actual service regarding this as I've heard nothing but good things about MCarbo's customer service, but so far I've been pretty let down. If I don't get a satisfactory response soon I'll probably just hacksaw the damn mount off and eat the 30 dollars.
Well made and fit as per specs. Thank you MCarbo!!!
No Brainer. a gotta have for your 2000. Easy to Mount, follow Chris's Video.
The internal thread of the mount, as well as the bolt thread are very unreliable. It needs to be improved with a longer bolt and larger thread used. Very disappointed. There are no complaints about delivery and packaging.
Great item fit great, I like that it mounts to the buffer tube and not the buffer tube collar. You don’t need the Black Max unless you took off the buffer tube collar.
A very nice fit for my Generation One Sub 2000.
Installed with ease. The YouTube instructional videos are fantastic. Keep them coming. I used an exacto knife or similar to cut down the rubber stock tube cover by 1/4 inch. That worked perfectly and save myself a few dollars.
I bought the single point sling mount and the 5-1/4 tube cover for my SUB 2K Gen 2 with the metal collar. The issue is that the tube cover will not fit properly with the sling mount on the tube. None of the videos or instructions cover this issue. After talking to tech support, they indicated that this is known issue and they will be addressing it in the future. They suggested trimming off 1/4 of inch on the front of the tube cover to get it to fit properly on the tube. This resolved the issue for now.
