Review
I recently bought the Beretta 92FS and was very disappointed in how heavy the trigger pull is in single and double. I searched online and saw that MCarbo had what I needed to improve the trigger. Having used MCarbo to upgrade my Rugger 9mm PCC, I knew it would be a quality product at a good price and I was right. Not only did the kit improve the trigger pull significantly, but the instructional video on how to install the kit was priceless.
What a great spring kit. I installed on my Girsan Regard MC and it couldn't have gone better. The video was perfect. All I did was follow along and it went great. For the safety detent spring I used a gallon zip lock bag to contain it, otherwise I'd still be looking for it. Such a great improvement on the da/sa! Thumbs up on a great product and video.
I ordered a Pro trigger Kit for my new Beretta 92FS Type M9 A1 pistol as well as the stainless guide bar to replace the factory parts. I placed the order on Monday morning and received the products on the following Friday at noon. I was able to install the guide rod and spring, as well as the new trigger spring and D hammer spring quickly and than off to local range. Wow, with the 15 Lb recoil spring and stainless steel guide rod and 12 Lb D hammer spring, plus new trigger spring I felt that my Beretta 92FS was now a 22 pistol. Everything very easy and smooth. Excellent product and great service! My accuracy has improved with these changes!
Nice trigger pull reduction. Installation eased up by a very well edited and clear video. Highly recommended.
This is a really nice spring kit. Comes with everything you need to renew your tried springs. Not all sounds have to be replaced to get a better trigger pull. There are springs I wish I didn't replace (extraction) simply because my 92 is fairly new. I like that it came with a few hammer springs. The 12lb was too light and has too many light strikes. Swapped it for the 14lb spring which worked perfectly. Also the recoil spring was too stiff for 115gr 9mm ammo. The slide wouldn't fully cycle so I had miss-feeds. Went back to the stick spring and that fixed it. What I was going for was a lighter trigger pull which I achieved with the kit.
Just installed in daughters Beretta, checked the trigger pull before and after made a sizable difference can't waite for her to take it to the range.
I bought a used 92D and decided to make it a DA/SA gun so I purchased this spring kit to make sure the pistol will function as I expect. I replaced the existing springs and added a new hammer, sear, sear pin and not it has a very nice trigger in both DA and SA. This was a great one stop shop for the spring upgrade.
Got this kit to upgrade my ATI c92 (Beretta clone) With the springs and some g10 thin grips it's a new gun cycle is smooth and trigger is light. The only thing i did was I put in the willson combat trigger spring in and was going install the short reach trigger but it didn't fit in the guard. But on a side by side the oe and the WC triggers are the same just shorter on the end . But with all that done and fresh cerakote one of the best guns ibshoI in a long time
I am extremely happy that i purchased and installed this kit. I followed the instructional video and it worked perfectly. The polishing also made a substantial difference. I would recommend this to anybody wanting to improve their shooting experience.
I purchased this along with the trigger upgrade kit and it has made a great gun even better. Functions as expected and looks way better than the polymer one.
Was fairly easy except for my sausage fingers. The Vidio saved me from a aw crap gunsmith basket case visit. Dropped double action to 2/3 of stock. Cut single action dramaticly Didn't see a need to go hog wild on a big dollar trigger job as I'm way better with a shotgun..
I installed the Mcarbo Beretta 92FS / M9 / 92 / 96 Pro Trigger Kit in my Girsan Regard. Delivery was fast and the installed product delivers great results and exceeded my expectations. I expect it will enhance my shooting experience on the range. Details: I installed this kit on my Girsan Regard Optics Ready pistol. Also, I chose the 12lb hammer spring. It took me about two hours. Chris's video tutorials are OUTSTANDING and a huge influence on my decision to try this product. Following his videos, I had no problems with the install. There were three minor differences between the Girsan and the Beretta but the process of disassembly/assembly was no different. 1. The Girsan has optics and OEM optics adapter plate which had to be removed 2. The Pin holding the hammer spring in place is a roll pin 3. The Pin holding the extractor in place is a roll pin unlike the Beretta solid pin with a head Here are the vitals: Spring Pull for Girsan Regard before upgrade: Double action avg 5 pulls = 11 lbs 12.1oz Single action avg 5 pulls = 3 lbs 8.9 oz After Mcarbo Upgrade: Double action avg 5 pulls = 7lbs 3.6oz (38% improvement) Single action avg 5 pulls = 2 lbs 5.3oz (34% improvement) Thanks to the Mcarbo Team and especially Chris Nelson. You have helped me make my inexpensive Girsan Regard trigger action feel like my expensive Beretta 92X Performance Defensive......... and I had fun doing it.
Awesome parts. Easy to install and the result is nice.
Used the kit on an old Taurus 92 with a "not so good trigger." The DA/SA was 9lbs/6lbs now it's 9lbs/4lbs. It's also smoother. GREAT KIT.
Unless you are a gunsmith you cannot install all the parts. My gun is a few years old and all the roll pins were frozen. I took hours to removes them and installing the sear spring was impossible. I never did install anything on the slide. I had to take the gun to a gunsmith to put it back together. The video was very incomplete as it looked like a new gun with too much time wasted on polishing. The gunsmith block was useless as parts would not lay flat. A waste of money.
