Review
Installation is easy enough if you've taken apart a gun before. You will need 'special' tools like a punch set and bench block. Trigger pull is smooth and consistent after install. Big improvement over factory. Now if only the trigger itself wasn't plastic.
GREAT FIT VERY LITE TRIGER PULL
Installed the trigger spring kit it is simple to do and the results are GREAT. So much nicer to shoot, nice trigger now compared to what it was from the factory. Just can't say enough good about it.
Springs were relatively easy to install following the video instructions. Much lighter pull. Significant upgrade from original springs.
I received my spring kit and trigger for the Kel Tec PF9 promptly after placing my order. I did the installation yesterday and it went smoothly. The parts were as advertised and I plan to go to the range today for a test run. I would recommend MCarbo.
The kit was high quality but the best part about this company is the detailed installation video. I followed it step by step. It was like working with a gunsmith. Everything went well and anywhere there was a problem, they told you about it which made me take extra care and patients and it worked out great. Cant wait to get out to the range.
Very good product. I am very pleased with the product, company, and the fast shipping. Would highly recommend. And there are install videos available on the package of the products.
I installed the trigger and all the springs. Didn't have a gauge for the before weight but now the trigger pull is a very nice 4 pounds, 3 oz.
cut that factory trigger pull in half and actually enjoy shooting the PF-9
Copy pasted here. Accidentally put this review in the P11 spring kit section. If a site admin wants to delete my review on the P11, feel free. I purchased the pf9 kit. This spring kit helps a lot. I don’t have an accurate way of testing trigger pull. But I did use a small food scale that measures in tenths of an ounce. Before the kit was installed, I got just under 7 pounds of pull. I know the pf9 is supposed to be around 5. My test was likely inaccurate just because of how it was conducted. But with the new trigger springs, my trigger pull is between 4-4.5 pounds. So even with a somewhat faulty test, I still lost 2.5-3 pounds of trigger pull. Cutting the factory pull in half or less. Great kit. Very involved video on YouTube as well describing how to do it all. I used the recoil springs from mcarbo as well, they’re great too. I’ll review those separately
I put a new trigger , trigger spring kit , 20 pound recoil spring , stainless guide rod in my keltec pf9 and I will tell you it is a pleasure to shoot now after putting 14 rounds through it before it hurt my hands so that was my limit and not very accurate but now I can put as many rounds through it with very good results on accuracy I am very pleased with the up grade M-Carbo will be getting more of my business next my mossin nagant will get some work thanks M-Carbo
should reduce the trigger pull for a smoother pull. If installed with the M*carbo trigger you will notice a complete reduction in pull weight I Highly recommend they be purchased together
I installed the recoil springs and sst rod, hammer spring, trigger springs and flat trigger in my PF-9. I could not get my firing pin out, so I did not change the pf spring. I've only dry fired my PF-9 but it feels great. The flat trigger can be adjusted to take out all the free travel, big improvement over the original parts.
Got all the PF9 upgrades. Springs, trigger, and guide rod. You can definitely feel the difference in how it shoots. My groups are a lot tighter now.
Did all the PF9 mods, trigger, springs, and recoil rod. What a difference! It's no longer painful to shoot. This gun has been totally transformed into a nice little shooter! Highly recommend.
for some reason I had never taught about searching for a trigger upgrade for my gun(maybe there was none available at the time). Well I order the trigger, spring kit, steel guide road and 20lbs springs and I Love it. apparently this kit has been evolving for some time and I got to say GOOD JOB MCARBO!!! Good things comes to those who wait.
