I installed MCARBO trigger kits to my 3 Marlins'. I used my digital fish scale to measure the pull, how accurate? I don't know, but the results were outstanding .

I have the Marlin,60 - 70 & 99 . they all measured 6+ lb.'s. After typical cleaning of the rifles and installing the trigger kits. They were all in the 3.5 to 3.8 range consistently.

Then the operation test. 100 rounds out of each of them proved very satisfying.

The material is optimum, manufacturing is impeccable.

customer service is great.

Quality, Performance, Customer Service, On-time Delivery, Price: EXCELLENT. 5 Stars.

Installation went smoothly; had the video playing on my laptop so I had step-by-step instructions through the entire process.

Went to the club range for a shakedown session. Trigger weight is noticeably lighter. Trigger is overall smoother and the break point (is that the correct term?) is crisp like snapping a tortilla chip or a very thin piece of glass. I do not have access to a trigger pull gauge so cannot provide actual numbers. However, the 2- & 3-shot groups were tighter, smaller. That is an improvement!

While there are only a few aftermarket mods for the Marlin 795, this should be at the top every owner's list.

Fairly ease to install

The spring kit was fairly easy to install after watching the video several times. Only noticed a small reduction in the trigger pull.

i broke a stock trigger spring on my 795 so i decided to just upgrade the springs, so glad i did, a bit lighter pull with a nice crisp release. matched this with a DIP trigger and trigger guard n for a super nice smooth trigger with the crisp release. with the trigger was a little lighter but i think this will work perfect form my 795 in steel Challenge!

Fantastic Kit!

I had already worked on the hammer and sear on my 795 and got the pull down to just a tad over 4 lbs. I decided to order this kit because I still wasn't happy with the way the trigger felt. After installing this Trigger Spring Kit the pull weight went down to 2.5 lbs!! and the trigger feels crisper when it breaks. Should tighten up the groups nicely.......Shipping was super fast and the communication is excellent! I will absolutely install one of these kits on my Marlin 99 and Glenfield 60 as well. Thanks Gents, well done!

Fine product with a few caveats

I installed the Marlin 785 Target Trigger and Trigger Spring Kit in my 795. The video instructions were quite good, though it took me considerably longer to complete the job than the video made it seem. I do not have a means to measure the trigger pull, but it is certainly crisper and has less creep.

I did have an issue with reassembly of the receiver. I could not get the left sideplate to sit flat enough to install e clip on the sear pivot post. I lost a few of the e clips in the process, so I'm glad I included a package in my order. After several iterations of dis-assembly and reassembly, I finally realized that the new sear spring, being of slightly larger wire than the factory spring, was preventing the sideplate from sitting low enough on the sear pivot post to allow the e clip to fit. I twisted the loop of the sear spring clockwise about 45 degrees, which allowed the loop to ride closer to the inside of the sear. I was then able to reattach the left sideplate.

Perhaps this should be noted in the instructions? I also recommend a few e clips be included in the spring kit. One of the factory clips on my gun definitely needed to be replaced.

Finally, I should warn prospective customers that replacing the hammer spring is a bit of a challenge to do single handed. The new spring is longer, and a bit stiffer, so I could not compress it sufficiently with one hand and replace the hammer strut bridge and paper clip with the other hand. Fortunately, my wife was around to lend a hand. :)

I look forward to taking the 795 to the range. Thanks for a fine product.

Fixed my 795!

I bought this kit to hopefully fix my marlin 795 (my first rifle). It had fired thousands of rounds and now almost 20 years later it would struggle to fire all 10 rds in a mag. It almost misfired every other round. I followed the instructional video for installing the spring kit (along with the new recoil spring for the bolt) now it fires like new! And the lighter trigger pull is just gravy. I highly recommend this kit to rejuvenate your old 795!

795 factory pull was 7 1/4 lbs, mcarbo, tad over 4 lbs. Nice.

good kit but a little pricey for 5 springs

The 795 trigger kit is fantastic, a must have for every 795. I found not a huge drop in pull weight, but more on the crispness of the pull. Combined with the DIProducts Trigger Guard and Trigger blade, all that sandpaper like feel is gone, and what you are left with is a nice, crisp, zero take up, 4.5 pound trigger. Which makes an already accurate rifle feel even greater.

I would have given it 5 stars, but the price for 5 small springs seems steep.

Wasn't sure if I was going to try a trigger kit but was convinced by a friend and just shot the gun and wow

It takes a good little shooting gun and makes it so much better you can fire it without having to really pull on the trigger still tight enough to be safe

Great kit

Fairly easy to install. Gives the trigger a nice, smooth feel with a much crisper break. Really recommend this to replace the garbage that Marlin tosses into these great rifles!

The spring kit did everything that it is supposed to! The service provided by this company is superb, from the order acknowledgement, shipping info to the follow-ups including links for installation and satisfaction. The extra spring (one spring requires a bit of bending upon install so they give an extra just in case) was a brilliant touch. Thank Goodness for the videos on the installation - they were very much appreciated! An extraordinary company with which to do business - I will be back for more!

I recently had a Mcarbo spring kit installed on a newly purchased Marlin 795, along with a Dip trigger and guard. The spring kit reduced the pull considerably, and the trigger and guard enabled me to adjust the creep and over travel. It is a huge improvement. It improved the accuracy by enabling me to shoot it much better. The best part is, when I use the 795 now, it gives the feeling of a much more expensive rifle. It is simply more enjoyable to shoot. I am considering another 795 to set up differently, and will definitely go with the Mcarbo kit again.
