This weekend I installed the trigger spring kit and WOW what a difference it made to the comfort of shooting the gun. I always liked and carried the gun for years until the PF9 came out, due to its smaller size and better trigger. The P-11 is now back in my pocket holster and will be my main concealed carry. The trigger went from 8lbs. to 4lbs. and has decreased the grouping substantially as well. Thank you M*Carbo for another great product.

Hello People. Thanks for the followup Chris. I got my order Monday of this week. Everything was as ordered. I installed all of the upgrades Tuesday night. Thanks for the instructional video. It really dispels any confusion and makes the job go faster and the results the best. Having done an aluminum trigger upgrade some years ago, I had gone through everything at that time. But the video made it much clearer and I learned details I didn’t know. At that time I used lock-tite on the firing pin retaining set screw. That was the only problem I had with this upgrade. And it was a problem. But I finally had my way with it and replaced that spring with the M*Carbo as well as the rest. I’m seriously debating using a thread lock this time. I haven’t thus far. Despite the set screw, the installation went great and I'm happy with it. The result of the new recoil springs and the trigger and hammer springs is a notable difference. The slide action is smother and I think easier to work. The trigger pull is also noticeably lighter, which is the number one intention for this upgrade. I believe I will have to put in some range time to really appreciate the differences. The aluminum tripper upgrade was from a gentleman in Arizona. It made the gun much more comfortable to shoot. But it did not address the spring. After a box of ammo, I still had had all the fun I could stand. I really can’t wait to shoot this gun now. I am hoping it is transformed into a fun to shoot gun. I love the gun and have always accepted it for what it was. It was designed for concealment and protection, that’s it. It does that. It isn’t for fun days plinking at beer cans. It’s been my daily carry for over 12 years. I had begun to look at newer offerings. Now, I hope I don’t have to. After all, this is THE pistol that set the bar and changed the previous ideas of a concealed carry pistol. It might not have created the niche, but it absolutely opened it up...small, narrow, light, high capacity. Thanks again and I look forward to checking out your other offerings. I have four Kel-Tecs. When I first bought my P11 in 08 I carried it as my vest gun for years. It has always been reliable but mannnn what a long trigger. For a backup i never minded. She has since been retied but I still makes range appearances at times. However, with my new spring kit installed it is she goes out a lot more and is enjoyable to shoot. I also replaced the OEM trigger for the flat trigger. And guide rod and recoil spring. All great upgrades! The insulation video makes the swap out a breeze. Thank you MCARBO!!!!
These springs fit both on my Keltec p-11 and my p-40 and both run flawlessly along with the rest of the Mcarbo upgrades. Thanks for an amazing product. Increased the performance of them both tenfold.
Installed the p11spring kit and stainless steel guide rod iny kel tec p11. The fit great and worked as advertised. Glad I got them. Took my factory 9 pound trigger down to a crisp 5 pounds. Easier to operate and more accurate. Thanks Chris and all your guys for a job well done
Installed this trigger kit in my Kel-Tec P40 today. Brought the trigger pull down by about 2 pounds. Still not a target trigger but the P40 isn't a target pistol. Nice. Well worth it. Thanks
Gentlemen in the video definitely made it look easier than it was but thats not the issue. The hammer spring eyelet was bent off to the side to make it difficult to fit in hammer. Not a biggie but stock spring looked alot more quality.
The Kel Tec P-11 was my first firearm back over a decade ago. Every since buying the pistol, I have always had troubles with the heavy north of 10lbs trigger pull. It would difficult to have accurate aim and created initial habits that may not have been the best for a beginning shooter. The whole process of depressing the trigger and firing the gun was unpleasant at best. The pure force to fire the gun not only hurt my hold and flinch reflex, but also the trigger pinched my finger every time. Ever since that time, I have tired to find modifications/methods to make the gun a more pleasant shooter; trying whites modification, installing the trigger shoe, considering a tension reduction jimmy rig method on the original springs. None of them made me want to shoot the gun any more than originally until this spring conversion. This spring change out lowered the trigger pull from above 10lbs to right around 5lbs. The take up time to depress the trigger no longer feels like eternity and more resembles all the other pistols I have albeit this being a double action gun. I would recommend this change out to anyone that wants to resolve the extreme heavy pull of the original trigger springs. The instruction video, as others have indicated, did a wonderful job in walking you step buy step on replacement. The one issue I did run into was after installation, the trigger was frozen and could not be depressed. I eventually understood the mechanics for this so when you put the trigger assembly back in, make sure the hammer continues to be forward and not fallen toward the back of the gun.
Saw and ordered the trigger spring, SS recoil guide rod and 20lb recoil spring kit. Got it lightning fast. Watched the videos a couple times and dove in. Everything went in like clockwork until I (say it again, I) screwed up and didn't check the spring tip alignment. Well, I called the company and instead of paying for a replacement, they sent not one but two springs! I REALLY watched the videos and got the new springs in. I've had that P11 for 20 years and it's like a completely different pistol. Easy to rack the slide and the horrific trigger pull is gone! NIGHT ANND DAY!! Not a safe queen, but a pistol I would trust my life with. Chris, you are a credit to all veterans. Your employees could give real lessons in customer service to any company in the business world.
