I bought the feed ramps , mag release , recoil springs made the gun what it was meant to be thanks MCARBO now all we need are NEW recoil BUFFERS from you THANKS you did a great job
Installation was easy except for putting in the little retaining wire. Hard for me mostly because I didn't have the right tools I had to do it with a pair of channel locks and a butcher knife next time I'll know to have a small pair of needle nose. recoil is negligible now, almost like shooting a BB gun LOL. Two things I would like to bring up, you guys should just go ahead and include a couple of extra retaining wires instead of just one or just invent a better clip, those of us who aren't gun repair savvy are going to lose them or break them, I did both LOL. but one text and you guys shipped me out two more I really appreciate it , great customer service! secondly yes you need to manufacture a better plastic buffer than Kel-Tec provides!!! I've had to order extra from them because I keep melting the ones I have. Thanks for a great product and thanks for all your help
I've installed the new, extra power recoil springs into my PMR-30. They definitely seem to be stronger and better quality than the factory ones. My only gripe is the tiny little ring that wraps around the edge of the guide rod, securing the springs to it. It isn't too difficult to remove and install, but it's almost impossible to put back the same way as it was before, making it questionable that it will stay on that rod and don't fly off at any time during operation. I'm a bit nervous for that reason to take it out to the range. I'd be willing to pay for a slightly higher price if M CARBO would produce the full, captured recoil spring set up. I hope they'll at least consider it!
Ordered my spring tuesday and it was here by friday. Great customer service and the upgrade is definately a need for the pmr-30. Great price and great company to do business and one of the best things, Made in the U.S.A. Thanks again.
I see improved cycling overall after I installed this spring kit along with the improved mag release and stainless steel feed ramp. No regrets and I would recommend to a friend.
Easy install, great company
The 3” pill bottle with a small hole drilled in the top of the cap and then force the rod thru the cap and tighten the cap is the ticket-5 minutes max start to finish
When I first purchased my PMR 30 it would only function correctly with 40 grain bullets. When I shot 30 grain bullets it would malfunction every 3 rounds. After I installed springs it will now function correctly with 30 grain and 40 grain bullets. But when I shoot 45 grain bullets it would malfunction every round. So the upgrade definitely helped with the problem I was having but didnt solve all issues. For the price of the upgrade, the fast delivery, and great installation videos it was worth it.
only issue I had was removing the locking ring. be care full or you will launch the original factory spring into space. see their video on u tube. best to cover the recoil rod with a cloth in case it release inadvertently. with the lock down I am unable to try out the new spring, stay tuned
The quality of the inner and outer spring are tops, but I would have given a 5 star if the retaining ring would have been of the same quality. It is thin and rather weak in comparison to the stock ring, which I ended up using instead. Works great.
Installed the springs after watching the install video. Definitely stronger than stock. Now onto the fun part. Removing and reinstalling the retention ring, part #163. It was a pain, definitely need to come up with some sort of replacement. Had to use micro screwdrivers to get the ring off. Also used vise grips on the recoil spring guide rod to keep the springs compressed while removing and installing the ring.
Relatively easy to install. I read somewhere about using an old pill bottle, drilling a small hole for the guide rod and clip to fit through, and then compressing the springs with the lid. It worked like a charm. Both hands free and I could pin down that little clip. Thanks guys! Keep up the great work!
Dark then Daylight
Ordered on Friday was in the mail box Monday, Damn it boy! Popped these on in less than 10 minutes, Awesome Possum Baby!
replaced the spring on my KelTec PMR30 and the gun has not missed a shot. It is a little harder to release the slid after you change the spring. I do like it. I hope they are working on a replacement slid lever.
I decided to leave the guide rod in the slide assembly and lock the slide to the rear... it was way way easier to manipulate the wire retainer that way and pry it off!!! Then you just remove the slide and voila' all disassembled! Putting it on was much easier out of the slide assembly. It does seem to function quite a bit better!!! I recommend it!
