Installed in my Glenfield 60 when I rehabbed the buffer. Everything worked great except for the trigger return spring. it was to light to reset the trigger. Placed the factory spring in an t runs good. YMMV.

Much needed improvement to trigger pull.

Installation using the on-line video made installing the spring kit very simple. Grinding the tips of a pair of needle nose pliers (to thin them like the ones shown in the video) made all the difference in bending one spring as required. The spring kit along with light polishing of the friction surfaces of the action gave me about a 50% reduction in trigger pull. Good Job MCarbo!

Must combine with DIP trigger

Bought the spring kit to reduce the trigger pull on my model 60. It noticeably reduced the trigger pull but added a ton of take up. I then bought a drop in DIP trigger and it is now exactly what I'm looking for. No take up and lighter trigger pull. This spring kit actually made my model 60 more reliable. I was shooting 40 gr HV American Eagle for the first time before the spring kit and it would not cycle rifle consistently. I put the spring kit in and wanted to try to just get through the rest of my brick of American Eagle and was shocked that it started cycling perfectly. I am very happy with my rifle set up now.

I had already done some polishing on my model 60 Marlin when I just wasn't satisfied. I bought them Marlin model 60 spring kit and installed and it made a different rifle out of it. I highly recommend this kit. It's now less than 3 lb trigger pull.

While installing this kit is a bit involved, following the video (pausing and rewinding as necessary) makes it quite possible. Impressive customer support and kit results. After 3 shots the trigger settled in and feels exactly as I hoped. Previously my trigger pull was over 5.5lbs. Thanks!

My son has started competitive shooting. I upgraded his spring set to lower the trigger pull. He could not be happier. The mod was easy. The trigger works perfectly. This mod has allowed my son to shoot with less stress put on the trigger. He shoots better than ever. This is a must for everyone.

I've had this rifle since I was a kid. I put it away awhile ago because it was acting up. Recently pulled it out of the cabinet to see what's going on with it. Had a few nice strings of 1/2" groupings and then click. No bang. Opened it up and my recoil buffer was shattered into pieces. At that point I decided it was time for a rebuild. MCARBO got me the springs super quick. They appear to be of very good quality and went in easily. The video was definitely a big help in showing how everything goes back in place. The rifle is whole again and hopefully I can get out test it tomorrow.

Nice upgrade

This is a very nice upgrade for the model 60. With this upgrade and the hyper velocity recoil spring I have no more jams or stove pipes. It reduced my trigger pull by quit a bit and it’s a joy to shoot now

Nicer lighter trigger

I’m picky about how my triggers feel. This nice little upgrade reduces the trigger pull on your model 60 (I didn’t measure exactly how much- it just feels better and lighter). The instructional video is very detailed and makes this upgrade as painless as possible. It isn’t the easiest upgrade you can do, but if you take your time and follow along carefully it shouldn’t be a problem. If you’re not too savvy with gun smithing or uncomfortable performing upgrades yourself, I’d highly recommend having a qualified person do this for you. While you’re at it, you might as well just get the whole trigger upgrade kit. I’m liking my model 60 all over again.

Due to my lack of reading of a new gun cleaner, I needed to replace my trigger guard (it kind of got melted, UGH) and figured it was a good time to upgrade to improve the trigger pull weight. I don't know what the pull weight was before, but now is is nice and light. Haven't sent rounds down range yet, but it is WAY better.

Only thing that could make it better, include the retaining spring for the sides, but at least you can buy those here too.

Very strange. I have used other McCarbo products with great success. I this case he only thing that lightened up was the trigger. Otherwise, there was no improvement on the break.
