I purchased both the spring kit and the target trigger and installed them in my marlin model 60. This is the best thing anyone could ever do to this rifle it has reduced the trigger pull by about tow pounds of pull. The MCARBO products are in my opinion some of the best parts on the market foe your marlin rifles. Thank you for such great products. The installation is very easy to do yourself just follow the instructions and you will be fine.
I am appreciative that this company makes this kit available and has the accompanying videos online to help install. I wish they still included it sold the target trigger with the kit. The price seems a bit high for what actually came in the kit and a bit dismayed that I was removing stainless factory springs to replace them with ferrous steel ones. The kit did help with the trigger pull and helps my son gain confidence with more accurate shot placement on target. I would always pay more for American products and a great company mission, but I wish the kit was cheaper or the components were stainless. Thank you.
I appreciate that you guys make this when no one else bothers. I also appreciate that your video was well done and easy to follow, and anyone could install the kit. Mine resulted in a 4 lb trigger, but it started with close to a 7.5 lb pull. Overall, I couldn't be happier for what it is. Replacement springs that lighten without having to cut the sear angle, no loss in reliability, and the gun is much easier to shoot now-what's not to like. I will say that one of the springs I got confused with the factory spring I just pulled out...I believe it was the sear spring...so I had to get a micrometer to see if I could determine which was the replacement and which was the factory. The wire diameter was actually identical on the two and they were shaped exactly the same. I still don't know which spring I put back in the gun. In any case, thanks for giving us an option for a gun so widely owned and enjoyed that until this we had no options for making more accurate and shootable.
Did all the usual smoothing and polishing of sear and hammer; could not wait until the kit arrived to finish the project. Now it's the best 22 trigger I have had the pleasure to press. MCarbo is The Final Touch!
It reduced the trigger pull by at least 50%. I was totally amazed at the accuracy of this Marlin Model 60 rifle. It was the most accurate rifle that I ever shot.
This is the third time I have installed this spring kit in a Marlin 60. Most recently I gave a Marlin 60 to family member as a gift. Their family had just moved to a rural area and needed a good "plinker". I am a big fan of the Marlin 60, they are reliable, durable and accurate. Though it is an inexpensive rifle I believe that it is well worth upgrading. The stock trigger is always a bit gritty and has too much travel. According to my trigger pull gauge, this spring kit reduced the trigger pull from 8 lb. to 4 lb.
This spring kit, along with the Hyper Velocity Recoil Spring and Target Trigger makes for a really awesome upgrade to a tired old rifle. If you have one brand new right out of the box I recommend you go ahead and order this threesome of parts for it.
I ordered this Marlin 60 Spring Kit for a M60 SB, (stainless model). As advertised, it reduced my trigger pull by about 2 pounds giving me tighter groups even with the stock trigger and guard. I would have gotten the trigger job bundle w/ the trigger if they had it in stainless/silver. Waiting on that to come out. The kit came in two days, and installation was a breeze thanks to the great installation video on the website. If accuracy, and tighter groups, is something that interest you, I highly recommend this spring kit. If you have the blue model, go with the bundle kit which includes an awesome trigger and recoil springs. I would advise against the higher recoil spring unless you fire hyper velocity ammo. Otherwise you may have cycling issues. For standard loads, go with the standard spring. Cheers!
I installed the Target Trigger and the Trigger Spring Kit. It took about 45 minutes. This is my first attempt at anything like this. I have short fat fingers with peripheral nueropathy ( numb fingers). If I can do this anybody can. The results are as promised.
I am very happy with the parts however, I'm going to take it a bit farther in that I'm going to pull the set screw from the trigger and round and polish the tip where it contacts the disconnector. With this, I will also square and polish the sear face and hammer slot for a better release. I could use it as is and be very satisfied but for those 1000 meter 22LR shots, I need it a little better! :)? I would say thank you for taking the time to make something for the little marlin. I consider these to be the best bang for the buck out there in 22LR and the trigger work will make it just that much better. Thanks again, Pat
Parts arrived quickly despite the hurricane Florence. Quality parts. Easy to install with u-tube videos. Unfortunately trigger pull is still 5+ lbs. Still recommend because being retired SF and Vietnam Vet will always go with a quality Vet owned business. Needed a good deep cleaning anyway. No regrets.
The best dam improvement you can make to your model 60. The how to video on YouTube is great as well. Follow step by step and you can't go wrong.

M*CARBO is a top-notch company with top-notch products. It was a definite improvement to my .22, no issues installing any of the springs. I've been using it now for a few years and have no issues. I would recommend this trigger kit for anyone with a model 60. I wish M*CARBO carried firing pins and trigger guards for the 60 as well!
Received spring and trigger kits for my mod 60 marlin,Tried to install in my older marlin which did not have the bolt hold back and had some springs that were different.it was a disaster.Trigger pull increased and was terrible.Put old trigger and factory spring back in for a decent trigger and will leave alone now. Fortunately i also have a new mod 60 in carbine configuration with 6.5 lb trigger pull. Installed spring kit and new trigger in this rifle with excellent results.Trigger is now 4lbs pull with no creep and helped with accuracy with less flyers.Happy with products now,just avoid in older mod 60 marlins.
