Trigger Spring Kit for the Marlin Model 60

I recently order a spring kit for my Model 60 semi auto .22 rifle, with the hope that it would improve the "just okay" stock trigger pull. I found the kit to be well made and the instillation very straightforward with the help of the M*Carbo video. This kit GREATLY improved the trigger pull of this rifle and the functioning is absolutely as good as stock, which has always been excellent.

I would buy this kit again without hesitation , and highly recommend it to anyone with a Marlin Model 60.

Now , if M*Carbo decides to make a kit for my Marlin XT bolt action , I will be the first in line to buy it.

OK, I just installed my second spring kit and a new buffer.

THESE KITS WORK!!! If you have some common sense and know how guns work and watch the videos they are easy to install. On my Marlin 7000 it cut the let off in half but more importantly the trigger was crisp! The second was a mdl 60, which was well worn in, again it became lighter and actually crisper, it's now more accurate and has a cleaner trigger pull than my 10-22!

JUST DO IT!

Installed this kit with a DIP aluminum trigger gaurd.

New life to a 25 yo rifle. Video made install painless. Trigger is lighter, but what I love most is the mile of factory trigger creep is gone. Crisp trigger pull will almost zero creep. I will polish the sear on the next cleaning to try and get it lighter. Overall very pleased with Mcarbo for creating an upgrade for popular little rimfire.

Very good quality

If your stock trigger on your model 60 marlin is anything like mine was before the spring kit, you do need this kit. It reduced the pull about 45 to 50%. If you thought your 60 shot good with the stock springs, get yourself a spring kit and some extra ammo because your 60 will be more satisfying to shoot and you'll hit what you're aiming at.

Very good upgrade

I'm glad I took a chance on the trigger spring kit upgrade for my Marlin 60. The spring kit really improved the trigger pull. I played around shooting paper targets and plinking. I can say I was shooting better groups with the trigger spring upgrade. If you have a Marlin 60, I think you'll like the results too. I did the upgrade myself. Very pleased with the results.

Very good upgrade for my old marlin

Very nice kit. I personally bought the trigger, spring kit, and HV spring. I retrospect I should have gone with the bundle they sell. The HV spring is a bit tricky getting in, mine ended up kinking but if you grab the bent turns on the spring with foreceps Or fine needle nose and gently squeeze it straightened out.

All in all an excellent upgrade for an excellent little hunting rifle

Very Happy With Purchase

I purchased the Marlin 60 trigger spring kit. I followed the install video as I was working on the rifle. The complete job was easily done in under an hour. Took the rifle to range and it functioned correctly. I then took the rifle to Velocity Triggers, a top AR trigger manufacturer. They tested the triggers pound pull weight. The average was 3lbs 8ozs. I could not be happier with the outcome.

Very happy with the results! 3.0 lbs!

Notes:

1. Pay close attention to the install video, especially for the disconnector spring. It has to be done just right. I had to fiddle with this a lot, until I went back to the vid, paid attention and did it right.

2. WEAR EYE PROTECTION when installing the hammer spring! I learned the hard way. :-( Also, fold a piece of sandpaper twice, and use it to rest the hammer on while installing the spring, so it won't slip on the table.

3. Consider this kit by itself to be a good first start. For optimal results, I increasingly fine-sanded (400/1000/1500 grit) the top of the trigger, and the hammer and sear where they made contact. I also put a dab of grease where any metal parts made contact, except the trigger/disconnector interface.

4. Result: a smooth 3.0 lbs, give or take 1/8. Lovely. Used a Timney Triggers spring gauge to check it. Formerly, it was at 5+ lbs, and gritty.

Very nice spring kit for Marlin/Glenfield Rifles

Installed this in my first-gen Glenfield 60, and it made a BIG difference in felt trigger pull... I also installed the target trigger at the same time, and with almost no pre-travel, it's easier and far more accurate to shoot.

Careful, though, installing into early models of the Glenfield; the interior components differ from Marlins, and the lack of instructions can be problematic... take digital photos of the "before" and use them as a guide for re-assembly.

Installed the trigger spring kit while replacing the stock buffer which broke. Easy instillation with great diy videos. All cleaned and lubed and fires great! Much smoother, lighter and criper than stock. Very pleased!

Spring kit turned my factory stiff trigger into a smooth light trigger. World of difference. Only down fall is I didn’t realize They offer a new flat trigger. Now I have to order that and install it. I recommend buying the combo kit that comes with the springs and trigger.

Well worth the trouble, HUGE improvement

I'm pretty new to working on guns and it may seem a little intimidating to some, but it was really not that difficult and actually pretty fun when it is all done. Only one part of the video was a little unclear and that was where the seer spring was supposed to sit when replaced, but it was easy to figure out during the next step. So, the price is well worth it and turns your Marlin 60 into a gun that's without doubt better than it was when it came from the factory decades ago. It's now one of my favorite guns and everyone I've handed it to at my club loves it.

What a difference

Easy to install and works great. Dropped the trigger to 4lbs. So much crisper and overall better rifle to shoot, especially when combined with the target trigger.
