Review
I just bought a new marlin model 60 early May 2016. The trigger pull was 5.25 lbs. Not too bad but my AR Wylde with a geisele trigger pulls 1.25 lbs. on the first stage and 6oz. on the second stage. My Marlin trigger needed work. I installed the Mcarbo spring kit today (polished the hammer and sear with an 8000 grit Japanese water stone and the is a nifty 3.5 lbs. Definately not a match trigger but for what it is it is absolutely great.
Kit was very easy to install. I took the gun to the range shortly after install and trigger was much improved. While this kit does not remove disconnector creep, it does reduce trigger pull pressure and that led to better groups.
Great video to follow. Made it very straightforward. End result very good.
Got this kit for a customer. Disassembly, installation, and reassembly went smooth as can be. Brought the trigger pull down from ~8lbs to ~4lbs. Customer was very pleased. Quality of the parts was excellent. I look forward to using other items from this source.
The trigger spring kit installation was easy. It greatly improved the pull on my stock trigger. Accuracy improved. Great product and grate installation video
I got this while I had my Marlin Model 990 apart for a buffer replacement. I figured with such an outstanding company, I'd give it a shot. Was super easy to install and I'm glad MCARBO adds an extra sear spring, due to messing up the bending portion, cause I definately needed it! Thanks MCARBO!
I REPLACED THESE SPRINGS AFTER WATCHING THE VIDEO. IT WAS VERY EASY. THE CHANGE MADE THE TRIGGER LIGHTER AND SMOOTH. WORKS GREAT.
Watch the video before you attempt an install. I had no problems. When reassembling, if you can't find your HOLS spring, it's because some Marlin 60's did not have that feature.
High-quality springs. Trigger feels much smoother, cleaner, and fresher. Hammer strikes are much stronger. Very satisfied! Get the pack of e-clips, too.
this is a well made spring kit for the marlin 60 and was a D.I.Y.project I highly recommend this product for a spring upgrade in the marlin 60 was a easy install with the vidieo on you tube
The spring kit arrived promptly and was easy to install. There is a video showing how to properly install all of the components and it was very straightforward. I started with an 11 LB pull and ended with a 3.75 LB pull when I was done. I did some extra work on the seer and lock mechanism while I had it apart (some smoothing / polishing). With the spring kit alone, I got 4.5 LB pull, then 3.75 LB after the polishing. Highly recommended and great follow up from the owner to make sure everything went well.
The one and only upgrade NEEDED for the Marlin 60 is this spring kit. Very easy to install with the video on the website. Had it installed in about 30 minutes. Took it to the range for the first time, and man what a difference 4 little springs make. Groups are tighter, trigger pull is light, but not to light. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!
My spring kit was delivered by rocket ship. I had them in that night. The hammer spring was tougher than it looks in the video. I had to use some cuss words but I got it installed. Good stuff. The customer service is great.
I learned of the MCarbo Kit from some of the forums that I frequent. After ordering the spring kit and studying the installation video, I was able to install the kit without undue stress. Disassembling the action gave me the opportunity to throughly clean and lubricate the components. The trigger now reads a consistent 3.5 lbs on my Wheeler scale. The pull is now much smoother with less trigger creep than before. The lighter pull has enabled me to improve my accuracy and my enjoyment of my model 60. The MCarbo Kit performs as advertised and represents a good alternative to an expensive trigger replacement.
This kit did exactly what they said it would. It made the trigger much better! The install took me about an hour, but that included giving everything a good cleaning. I would recommend this to anyone who is not happy with the trigger on their model 60.
Installed the kit while watching the video. Easy-peasy. Took my 60's trigger pull from an average of 6.1 to 4.2 lbs. Sweet! After installing and seeing the results, I instantly bought a second set for my Model 60 #2. Easy to do and totally worth it.
