This Trigger Spring Kit produces amazing results in just 30 minutes and a little work. The Install Video makes the Installation of the Spring Kit a snap, even for a beginner to firearm modifications. The final results are MORE THAN worth the time, effort and of course the amazing price. Dropped my Model 60 Trigger pull from a nasty 7.2 ils down to and even 3.0 lbs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this KIT!

Feels much better

Ordering was easy. I opted to have MCarbo install the kit as I had already messed up a disconnector spring that I received from Marlin as a replacement for a broken spring. Install looks clean. Took the rifle out to the range and was able to pull off a sub-moa group at 100ft easily. My Model 60 previously had this little "wall" that I would hit as I squeezed the trigger. Once I pushed through that it would fire. Nothing major... just a little annoying from a rifle. The new kit brought that down to a slight "scratch" that was less of a disruption to the trigger pull. I believe this reduced my tendency to pull to the right previously as I broke through that "wall". Good stuff. Go with confidence.

Fix for heavy factory trigger

Installed this kit in my mod 60. My 60 was a newer variant and had a really heavy trigger, that I just could not shoot well. This kit lightened the trigger enough to restore my faith in my shooting skills. I love Marlin's but with everything being built to protect the idiots of the world, this was a must on my rifle.

I installed this kit on my son's 1950's glenfield model 60, I had replaced the firing pin and spring when I first got it but my boy was used to shooting my Rugers ( one is an American with an adjustable trigger and the other is a charger with a BX trigger) and he wasn't happy with the pull or the creep. I ordered the M'Carbo kit and a high velocity recoil spring and you can't tell the difference between the Marlin's trigger and my BX trigger, the only difference is the price( the M'Carbo being about 1/2 the price with the same results) me and my son are very pleased with this kit

GLENFIELD 75 rebuild

I just finished a 90% rebuild of my Glenfield from 1968. The guts are marlin 60. Some parts have changed a little over the years but everything I got from Mcarbo was a straight drop in. Very happy. The ones they did not have came from Midway. Buffer, new stile lifter , feed throat and extractors with springs. Only "hard" part was shaping the feed throat to match the old one. This can be done with a dremmel sanding drum. Just study it and think it through before you start. Study the videos and read ALL the pages for the 60. I am VERY happy. Last step was to use the muzzle lapping kit. At the range today I was hitting golf ball size targets at about 50 yards. Service is very good. Shipping is fast. Almost too fast. I called back one hour after placing a order to modify it and it was already gone! Thank you!

Reduces trigger pull but very expensive for a few small springs. Bought 3 sets and received no discount.

Good improvement but could be better

First of all, the Youtube video makes all the difference for something so fiddly and complicated. It would have been impossible using just written instructions.

Whereas the going was smooth overall, there were specifically some instances were the video fell short of a comprehensive instruction. Apart from a couple of situations where things are not shown in detail long enough or the hands/fingers cover the part in question, I was rather disappointed when I realised I had reassembled the action (after much labouring and checking) without the hammer spring attachment in the right place (the hole on the plate). In the video, this motion is shown at higher speed and the hand covers it, whilst the commentary makes no mention of it until about half a minute later, so I had missed it. Result, I had to disassemble and reassemble everything. Then I realised the hammer spring - which was hard as hell to install, it took me about twenty attempts and nearly half an hour, I was about to give up - was making excessive friction and a bumpy resistance against the hammer when cocking it. Your hammer spring, other than being very hard (perhaps harder than the original Marlin one), wasn't milled very well, so it didn't have a completely flat bottom (either side) but instead a small bump which was grating against the hammer. So I had to disassemble everything - again - in order to turn the spring so that the small bump would sit on the spring guide rather than on the hammer itself.

In the end it took far longer than the 15 minutes or so of your video (in my case almost 2 hours in total).

May I suggest that:

- every step of the process is documented clear of hands or fingers covering the specific detail, at normal video speed, and with the commentary describing what is being done at the same time that it happens on video;

- the hammer spring and its installation are improved by making it shorter or softer.

Eventually I went to the range and definitively noted an improvement in trigger pull, although it is still a little hard and "bumpy" rather than gentle and smooth as I had hoped. It's certainly a big improvement over the factory one and I would much rather this than dangerously messing around with filing away internal parts. I think MCarbo should provide a means to shorten pre-travel on this trigger, which would further improve its effectiveness as well as reduce the feeling of clunkiness.

Overall I am satisfied, perhaps not 100% but I am glad I went ahead with your product.

I did the installation on the old .22 and it was a good improvement. The trigger job was well supported with the video. Even a novice can do it.

I purchased this spring kit as well as the recoil spring and extra E clips for my Marlin 60 which needed TLC! This is my second gun to work over with MCARBO product and they are two for two for excellent customer experience and quality product. I received it very quickly and installed it all rapidly using the detailed YouTube videos! Took it to the range the next day and it fired like a champ! Thank you brothers! My recommendation would be to offer again a full bundle for the Model 69 rather than a la carte purchases, and to include a 3-D printed recoil buffer which was my main problem. I had to source that elsewhere.Thank you again for all your great stuff!

I recently left a two-star review for this spring kit. It just didn't do much to reduce my Marlin 60 trigger pull. But, I want to leave another review regarding Mcarbo's customer service. I contacted them and requested a refund, and they promptly issued an RMA and provided a postage-paid shipping label. I've now received a refund.

So while the product didn't perform to my expectations, it's great to see a company truly committed to great customer service.

Thanks Mcarbo!

I purchased the kit to "refresh" my 1974 Marlin Glenfield 60, along with a new recoil spring, e-clips, and ejector spring. Customer service assured me the kit would fit the older design rifle and they were 100% correct, as always. While there were minor differences between my older rifle and the new rifle used for their installation video, they were easy to identify and the installation was a breeze. The trigger is 1/2 pound lighter and very crisp and I'm very pleased with my "new" rifle.
