I replaced the springs in my LCP with the MCarbo spring set. It worked out really well. It reduced my trigger pull from 7.2lb down to 4.5lb!! The installation went reasonably well. I did manage to shoot my firing pin 3 times across my workbench trying to reinstall the roll pin. Installing everything isn't quite as simple as the videos makes it, but is very doable. I recommend this upgrade to your LCP, makes for a much better shooting experience.
I purchased this kit to improve the trigger pull on my LCP. With factory springs, the pull was nearly 8 lbs. After the installation of the Mcarbo parts, trigger pull is down to 5.5 lbs. I think that is perfect for a pocket pistol without a safety. Parts were good quality and with the help of the Mcarbo videos, installation went pretty smoothly. A couple of minor glitches, but nothing I couldn’t work through easily enough. I was a little disappointed with the delivery which took longer than I expected (12 days from order to receipt). However, with that said, I understand that the COVID thing probably impacted this so I’m good with it. I’d order again from Mcarbo.

Installed the trigger spring kit in the wife's carry gun. SHE LOVES THE IMPROVED ACCURACY! The whole experience was great from fair price, short delivery time, fun installation to improved accuracy. Note if I do another spring kit I'll limit my self to one cup of coffee not.
It took me about an hour to complete this installation and test fire. I have a first year of production LCP and the Firing Pin retention pin was extremely tight. It took a lot of force to get it out. Everything else went fine until I dropped the hammer spring cross bar. I did have some trouble with the interrupter going in place but I did not have a small enough screw driver. If I ever do another one I will make a tool up. I do not have a trigger scale but there is a huge difference in pull. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS KIT AND THE RESULTS. i HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
I have a very early LCP and just tried to deal with the trigger pull for years. Then, I shot my friend's Kahr 380 and decided something needed to change. I have not shot it as yet, but just dry firing it has been a pleasure.
I just got back my LCP from my Local Gun Store, who installed the M*CARBO Spring Kit for me. Everyone at the LGS wanted to play with it (LCPs and LCP IIs are big sellers there). There was no one who found the trigger weight too light or anything but an improvement. There is still no take up, just a long steady pull, followed by the break. The difference in pull weight is dramatic. I would say the pull was less than 4lbs, but I know that's because you have a steady 3ish pound pull with the 4lbs at the break, so your mind fixates on the overall pull. The reset clicks (The LCP has the fake click before the real one) even seem much more distinct. I tried one of their own Gen 2 LCPs, so I could make a direct comparison, and the improvement is ludicrous. I now want to go shooting just to run through a box of 380! If you've ever shot the LCP for even a short while, you know how weird that sounds.
I purchased the LCP Spring Kit, Flat Trigger Upgrade Kit and the Takedown Pin. These parts truly transformed my LCP! Everyone knows the trigger that came from Ruger is absolutely horrible and made the LCP very difficult to shoot. No longer! I just installed the Mcarbo parts listed above and instantly noticed an amazing transformation. The trigger is now smooth, trigger take-up is short and the trigger break is crisp. It no longer has that long dreadful long trigger pull. Trigger pull weight was reduced from a measured 6.5 lbs to 4.5 lbs. Last and certainly not least the wide flat trigger is well designed, comfortable along with perfect finger placement. The Mcarbo parts truly transform the LCP into a highly effective shootable pistol. I just got back from the range and I put 50 rounds through it. Before the Mcarbo upgrade I could never get consistently tight groups and it was frustrating to shot. Tonight I consistently got tight groups for the first time ever it is now fun to shoot. More importantly I am now confident I can defend myself with my LCP and would be able to put the shots where necessary to stop the threat. IF YOU OWN AN LCP YOU MUST GET THESE PARTS.
Installed trigger pull modification on 8 year old LCP using the video for step by step. All went well until trying to install roll pin for firing pin and spring. Pin was very tight and firing pin and spring launched while trying. Found them after 2 hours of searching. Rest of the process went ok. End result was about 50% reduction in trigger pull as advertised. Test fired 75 rounds with one misfire*. Good indentation on primer but no bang. Cheap ammo but it had never misfired before. Will call it a qualified success at this point.
Easy to install, quality parts. Trigger pull already feels great. Can't wait to get it on the range.
Very fast delivery. Got the kit in just a few days. The installation was fairly easy and was made easier with the installation video. My process was slightly different though due to the previous installation of a Hogue grip. The final result was as advertised and reduced the pull by about 50%. Makes the LCP more enjoyable to shoot.
I installed the springs following there vid & it went rather smooth. I have not shot the gun yet but the trigger is much better & lighter. Would definitely recommend this for any Ruger LCP1 pistol.
Easy to install if you follow the video. Field tested. Works great as advertised.
Just installed this kit (along with all the other upgrades for the LCP). Brought that trigger back to a reasonable pull and smoothed things out. Definitely worth the money to throw this kit and have basically a new gun in 30 minutes. Plus I feel better knowing she can carry again with the confidence that she will hit her intended target when needed.
Followed video and also polished it up world of difference, love the way it feels and can’t wait to go shoot
I received exactly what I ordered, promptly and well packaged. The install video was easy to follow (the out of focus stuff kinda made my eyes cross). The improvement was more than I expected. I now feel like I have a legitimate well functioning carry gun. The new trigger pull drastically improved my ability to put rounds on target. Thanks
