This was the closest to gunsmithing I’ve ever been. Opening up, cleaning and parts replacement on AR-15 was really all I’ve tried. But the job was supported by the MCarbo YouTube video that made it a snap! I added a good q-tip cleaning but otherwise this kit was all I changed. What a difference! Now my S&W 638 is at least half lighter pull, should really help grouping controls. Thanks MCarbo!
The kit improved my model 37 pull by half a pound but it was well worth it. I lost the fear of working on my guns! The video showed me precisely how to do it. These quarantine times give us a great opportunity to improve our skills.
I received my spring kit fast; I installed kit and found the trigger spring too weak to return trigger properly at a slow pace. I reached out to M*CARBO and they sent a new spring fast and free. I installed spring and the trigger works flawlessly.

I purchased the S&W trigger spring kit for my 638 and was very happy with the results. I paid to have the kit installed by the range manager of my local shooting range. It actually made the single action pull of the "hammer" easier. Well pleased with results.

Replaced hammer spring first. Changed from approximately 9.5 to 8 lb double action pull. It changes single from 3.0 to 2.3. I did not change the trigger spring, that was light enough. I figured it would change a little. Good springs. Fast delivery. Thank You.
Purchased the S&W J Frame trigger kit for my wife's 38 Special. After watching video the installation was very easy. Could not believe the difference in the trigger pull. My wife is one happy lady.
Wow! Went from 10lb 1.5 oz in double action to 3lb 28oz. Single action from 3lb 28oz to 45oz! I might have to put back the original trigger return spring as this is really light in single action, but realllllly nice in double. I used a Wheeler Professional Digital taking an average of 10 pulls each time.
Very easy to install. It only took a few minutes changing out the springs. The you tube instructional video was very helpful. The trigger squeeze is so much better. Have not fired it yet but I can already tell a major difference in the gun.
I was pleased with the ease and speed of my spring request. I viewed the suggested instructional video multiple times. [I also ordered the assembly block show in the video for $15.00] Video was MOST helpful. Never removed a side plate before. The install went well. The grip safety of this model caused a little panic, but is working well as I dry fire. My Brownell's trigger gauge wouldn't register the pull weight--in excess of 12 lbs. A luggage scale indicated 16 lbs. plus-but accuracy of the scale is doubtful. Pull is still in excess of 8 lbs+. Donor springs appeared longer than the original-but no idea of compression rates, etc. Will test fire soon and hope that ignition is still reliable. t.

BUY THE SMITH-MASTER TOOL{PICTURE ATTACHED}, USING THIS TOOL MAKES IT A SNAP TO REPLACE REBOUND SPRING. AFTER INSTALLING DID NOTICE A REDUCTION IN TRIGGER WEIGHT. COULD NOT MEASURE. I bought the spring kit for my wife's sw638. YouTube video from Chris was essentially instrumental. My wife was able to replace the spring herself without too much hassle. A minor trick to share is using trigger pull to help a bit with removal of paper clip after the larger cock spring was installed. The double action pull definitely feels a lot lighter now. Cannot wait going to range to test it out.
