Got 2of these kits. One for my LCP 2 and one for my wife’s. Both trigger pulls improved. My wife could even tell the difference with her gun.
Extremely pleased with this kit and the one I installed in my LC9s Pro. Great products, great customer service, and fantastic instructional videos. Thank you M Carbo team.
I have bought other spring kits from MCarbo and all are great, this was no exception. However, unlike the other kits I have installed, the MCarbo video for installation of the LCP II in 22 LR did not match the pistol exactly. The MCarbo video was for the .380. The .22 LR has a couple of extra, and very small, parts in it. I followed the video along and when the aluminum block came out of the grip, these parts fell out. I spent a long time attempting to put it back together and then looking for an accurate video. I finally found one. I hate to post this on the MCarbo site, but it might save someone some grief until Chris can get a video made. The MCarbo videos are excellent and the link leads to a competitors video. Even though the guy in the video does not do as good a job and Chris does, it will get you through it. Here is the link for .22 LR https://youtu.be/na_X8n_xVp8 https://youtu.be/na_X8n_xVp8
Thanks to the great video installation went well. 2 caveats to mention. The firing pin retainer roll pin may be hard to get out and in my case impossible to reinsert. I ordered a couple from Ruger in hopes for a slightly smaller pin, but none would fit. Finally slightly tapered the end of the pin with a Dremel tool to start it. A roll pin punch did the rest. Take Chris's advice in the video to grease the inner trigger return spring so it won't fall out or get lost. It is teeny-TINY. The firing pin roll pin retainer is also microscopic. After completion, trigger pull weight decreased to 3 lbs from 6.5 lbs. Smooth operation and improved accuracy; latter probably from trigger pull lightening.
Just installed and tried out at local indoor range. Very happy with the performance and level of quality. Big enhancement to my new micro pistol!
Only took a little while to do the upgrade. Trigger pull feels so much nicer now. Have not had to chance to put any rounds through it yet. Only problem I had was trying to remove the firing pin retaining pin. Took quite awhile to get it to break loose and move so I could change out that spring. Highly recommend this upgrade to anyone with an LCP.
My wife’s LCP 2 was difficult for her operate due to negative effects of carpal tunnel syndrome. I was preparing to sell it and spend a few hundred dollars more for another pistol when I saw this kit. I purchased this kit and installed it myself. It feels like a completely different firearm! She can now operate the slide with confidence and no longer wants to replace her pistol. Definitely a great upgrade that I highly recommend!!! Thank you MCARBO for the work you guys are doing!
Easy to install trigger spring kit. Reduced trigger break by about 2 pounds. Huge improvement.
I used this spring kit to improve the trigger on the LCP Max...It's not easy, but it's not overly difficult either. The video tutorial is very thorough.
I was able to install the spring kit successfully after watching the YouTube instructional video. The process was tedious on the trigger spring but all went well aside from that.
Trigger spring kit worked great on my Lcp2, it gave the trigger less tension and made the slide easier. I highly recommend the trigger spring kit! Also I was able to install the kit my self, it was a breeze with the how to video!
Haven't installed kit yet.
Fast shipping, I mean like 3 days fast. All parts went into gun with no problem. I don't have a trigger pull gauge, but it definitely feels smother and lighter by a little. Had to follow Galloway Precision video, which left a little to be desired. but better than no video at all. You should have a video for the Ruger LCP2 .22. The one you offer for the LCP2 .380 does not compare. They are two different guns, different internal parts.
You have the springs and parts were exact fit and absolutely had no trouble using them and had a significant change and trigger pull weight. Also used heavier clip spring in stainless steel rod excellent pieces.
Lcp 2 380 and 22 Trigger spring kits were easy to install with the help of the videos
Easy to install. Works great
