Lighter. For the LCP 2, get everything M*CARBO offers for it.
Before I installed the kit, I could barely pull the trigger after about 30 rounds. With the trigger kit I now can fire without any amount of rounds without any fatigue. Thanks, MCARBO!! Army National Guard Veteran 20th SFG (A)
Installed trigger spring kit and takedown pin. installation was fairly smooth although the takedown pin spring would not stay in. Trigger pull is reduced but no trigger pull gauge so can't say how much reduction.
Great kit, reduced trigger pull by 2.5 lbs. fairly easy install except the video needs to be updated. Ruger changed the firing pin retainer location and added a safety and trigger bar disconnect. Be careful when dissembling. Other than that went together well. Groups are smaller. Recoil spring eliminated FTF and now devours any and all brands of 22lr.
This kit really makes the gun shine. I had put the Siguard trigger in and, while the release and reset felt better, the trigger pull was still hard. I put the springs in and the gun is perfect now. It tightened up my groups as I am not pulling the sights off target. I also through in the stainless recoil spring guide for ha has.
This is the third LCP II Spring kit I’ve purchased and installed myself. Excellent installation instructions and support. This will remain to be the first internet site I shop for aftermarket parts for all of my guns. I’ve installed parts for numerous Rugers, Kel-Tecs, and Glocks.
It's kind of a tricky install, but the video helped. The trigger pull dropped only a bit, about 2 lbs., it's still about 6 lbs.
This kit is very complete and easy to install. It made a huge difference in the trigger of my pistol. The product shipped fast and arrived as described. Quality product by a quality company!!
The kit went in easy thanks to your great video. My trigger was reduced by 2 lbs. better than I thought it would be. Good product and makes shooting better.
This product worked as advertised. I am very pleased with the results. The how to videos were very helpful.
Installed in my Ruger LCP Max using the 380 LCP 2 spring kit (hammer, trigger, and firing pin springs). Just so you know, everything fit perfectly and the only 2 differences from the youtube video you will encounter with your LCP Max is were the location of the firing pin retaining pin is and the way you install the aluminum frame into the grip handle (moving the trigger catch). I have attached a picture of 4 fired test cases all fired with no bullet or powder present. The primers used in my test were Remington 7 1/2 BR small rifle magnum primers. The reason I did this test was the concern of light primer strikes after changing the hammer and firing pin spring out. The 2 cases on the left (deeper firing pin strikes) were with the LCP 2 springs in the gun and the 2 cases on the right (very shallow firing pin strikes) are with the factory springs. As you can see, reliably setting off primers after the springs were installed is no issue at all. I unfortunately do not have anything to measure trigger pull weight before and after so I cannot provide you those figures. The trigger pull now does not feel like a perceived 10lb brick wall and more how Ruger should have shipped it.
The videos were very helpful BUT the results are even better. The picture is of the break in. The TALL string is the break in "8" shots. the hole just below and left of the bull is the NEXT 12 SHOTS. WOW PLEASE KEEP IN MIND I AM 3/4 CENTURY OLD THANK YOU GOD BLESS AMERICA
My third set of trigger springs for different handguns. So far they have all worked perfect without any issues. All kits made my triggers so much smoother, no regrets. Really like all mcarbo purchases seemed to be researched well and the videos make the installs flawless.
