No intention of using the hammer spring. I would never recommend lightening your prime strike unless this is strictly for training or target. Springs are direct fit, and high quality. Reduced weight trigger return made a difference and i would trust my life to it working.

This upgrade is perfect. With the lighter pull help hard snap of the trigger cause the shooter to pull slightly down. Now it shoots true. Grade kit!!!!

Problem with firing pin

I wish Chris had specified using a 3/32 "roll" pin punch on the slide instead of a regular pin punch. I ended up getting my punch stuck in the hole and had to finally cut it and leave it in there. Gun works good with original firing pin spring still in. The other components in the kit reduced the trigger pull. I'm not happy with my pin punch used as a roll pin but it isn't coming out. lol

Product is MCARBO quality .. the video is for the .380 gun when I bought the .22 kit.

Kit works great, you should make a new video just for the .22.

There are issues with the .380 video since the gun is not the same as the .22 include the firing pin roll pin coming out of the slide in the wrong place.

Also, big issue that was not addressed with the fact the .22 has a safety lever that is not in the .380 video and there is a small spring that fell out, unnoticed when watching the video. So at the end of assembly and there was an extra spring on my mat???

Make a new video for the .22 is my only recommendation but thanks for giving us a nice product.

Easy to install watching the MCARBO video on YouTube, really like the reduced trigger pull so far. Have yet to take it to the range and test accuracy

I was impressed when I opened the package. The quality of them was second to none. Installation was simple following their video. The trigger pull was unbelievable after installing the spring(s). Will definitely use their upgrades on other firearms in the future.

Really improved shoot ability.

This review actually covers the spring kit, extra power recoil spring, extra power magazine release spring, heavy duty take down pin and stainless steel guide rod. When I first fired the pistol, it felt “loose” in operation, there were many “light” strikes and times where the magazine became loose. All issues are now resolved and the pistol now gives me more confidence in its operation. The installation videos were very useful. Thanks for your help in making a good pistol a great pistol.

Got the spring kit, stainless guide rod and better takedown pin. Only took an hour while watching the how to video which was well done. What a difference. Can’t beat the price. Combined with a +2 mag extension, I’ve got bad ass little pocket gun. Thanks to MCARBO

Did exactly as advertised. Took the pull to half. Was a slight bit more complicated to install, but my gunsmith got it done. Thanks,

Hello Brotherhood! Just finished with the trigger spring and guide rod install on my LCP 2 and WOW what a difference! I had my son-in-law do the trigger (he is currently training to be a gunsmith) and with his younger, better working eyesight, and your install vid, things worked out pretty smooth. One thing for sure, I had a Ruger that I really liked and now its a whole lot better.

Ruger LCP II 22LR is a much Better Pistol after the MCARBO Kit

I bought the Ruger LCP II 22lr pistol and found that it jams and has light hammer strikes which does not fire or feed all 22lr ammo; no matter which brand I used. I do not recommend using cheap ammo in any gun as problems may occur with the function of the weapon no matter what you do to upgrade with better functioning parts. I installed the new trigger and hammer springs which totally corrected factory defects. As I stated before; use good name brand ammunition and you will find with the MCARBO kit; you will have an awesome functioning pistol. The light hammer strikes and light ejector springs are a problem that everyone I know who has purchased the pistols have immediate out of the box malfunction problems, which are dangerous and very frustrating. Go ahead and purchase this kit from MCARBO (Ruger LCP II Trigger Spring Kit). You will be so glad you did! I Highly Recommend MCARBO Parts; especially this one and the Glock 9mm kit for changing from a 5.5 trigger pull to 3.5. BRAVO MCARBO!! Great Kit!!

Review

This is a review of all of the above: For starters, I have learned that there’s no sense in purchasing just one item for your gun at MCARBO when they offer more! You already have your gun apart so go for the gusto. The instructional videos at MCARBO are outstanding. They cover it all. I recommend watching the instructional videos multiple times before you begin your installs. Make sure you have all the required tools (as outlined in the videos) before you begin. Then...just follow the video. It helps to have the video playing on an iPad to give you a direct reference while doing your mods. The trigger pull is noticeably better after my install. The combination of the flat trigger & reduced power springs really help. The SS rod guide & heavy duty take-down spring are just common sense items that require no explanation or review. Thanks again MCARBO for manufacturing quality, affordable parts that enhance our toys! PS - The Bench Block is well worth the money. An extended magazine would be something you guys might consider next!!
